Great tasting pizzas, competitive prices, and awesome build-out for a fast-casual restaurant. I have ordered take-out from here a few times, but decided to dine-in tonight. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience tonight. I hope this experience was an isolated incident, and this review is more of a message to the business. My family and I came in and ordered at 6 PM on a Sunday evening. Dine-in was not yet packed, about 40% capacity, but there was a large group of customers waiting for their food. We ordered a Caprese salad and 12" cauliflower pizza. Firstly, we had to wait 1 hour for our pizza. I understand restaurants all over are short-staffed, but this is still unacceptable for a pizza. Secondly, the pizza was brought to our table in a TO-GO BOX, with no plates or utensils. All the parties around us had a pizza tray and stand. Maybe they were suggesting we hurry up and get out? I find this unfortunate because Pizza Bar makes great pies and its quite close to our home. Again, this is most likely an isolated incident, but difficult to accept nonetheless. Sadly was hoping to really like this place but our salad had tons of brown old lettuce ... it came with no dressing mixed or on the side so had had to ask for some. Then our pizza had a hair in it which we found 2nd slice in. Didn't even want to think about eating something else from here so literally got up and walked out. Paid $40 and couldn't eat the meal. Lots of people working and can't say I saw the front staff working the ordering even washing their hands before delivering food. This would bother me normally but even more with COVID still a big issue. read more

We are so excited this opened up! We have been here several times and each time everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You would never be able to tell that they have only been opened for a few weeks. Everything seems to flow really nicely. The staff is so nice and patient and not to mention the place is incredibly clean. Love the black and white decor! It feels nice being able to support a local small business. The pizzas we have tried have all been great and we also tried the house salad which is not your typical house salad and was amazing. Slices are large as well and you definitely get a great deal for what you pay for. The crust is amazing dipped in the ranch. We love the buffalo chicken pizza and the marg pizza is our favorite. We love the unique spin of shaved Parmesan on top. They also have an amazing selection of beer on tap as well as Ashland on tap. We will be back here and continue to support this amazing place. We just recently had our sons birthday dinner there and Adam and Lynn were so great and patient and welcoming. It was an amazing experience! read more

Went here yesterday with my wife to watch football and have a beer. We ended up staying for several hours because it was such an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Really nice ambiance and the pizza is awesome! We will be back for sure! read more

First time trying the place, for takeout and loved the Margherita pizza. Thin but not dry. Full of flavor. This would be a 5 star but I also needed the smallest pizza, as my daughter only eats cheese pizza. I had to order a large (they only have one size). She ate part of one slice and we threw away the rest of a huge pizza. A personal size would have been awesome.... Anyway. I will go back. read more

My mom and I tried this place for the first time the day before thanksgiving while I was visiting and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is in a great location, lots of parking, very spacious and nicely decorated. The people working there were very friendly and nice and seemed genuinely happy to be serving us. I love that they sell pizza by-the-slice as well as custom whole pizzas. We ended up getting a slice of the Buffalo chicken pizza while we waited and it was delicious. We then had a custom to-go pizza made with pepperoni, artichoke and basil and that was also delicious. I'm very happy we found this place and I'll definitely be returning when I'm in the area! read more

We had a great time here. We tried the pesto mushroom, pepperoni, and buffalo chicken pizza - all were good. Baby loved the ricotta cheese on the pesto pizza :) The place was clean, great service with friendly staff, nice ambiance. My only random opinions to throw out there would be biodegradable cups/lids/straws vs plastic (would be a nice touch). But otherwise we really liked this place and will definitely be back - really hit the spot! read more

It's weird. I went in, ordered 2 slices. One cheese, one pepperoni. They were light, thin, crispy & delicious. Crusts were small & crispy. Since I only live 1/4 mile away I ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni well done pie to bring home to my wife. I understand that the pizza boxes erase the crispiness, but this pie was a thick, heavy, doughy mess. Undercooked, not well done. My wife looked at me like I was crazy for bragging about the slices. Since it's local, I'd like to give them another try, but WOW. Please train your staff to consistently roll your pies thinner & cook a little longer like the slices on the rack. Thick & Doughy is not a good taste for your pies. read more

First time trying ... impressed with the interior and pizza. Found the pizza quality, along with meatballs and sausage, top notch. My only suggestion is the crust. As a fellow N.Y. make it a bit thinner and crisper. Others won't realize it unless they experience N.Y. pizza. I urge others to support this business - you'll enjoy whether eating in or takeout. Great food & atmosphere! Yes, they do cater to kids soccer teams, but having up to 7 people for a happy hour in one of the side booths is still excellent. The wine is good, my friends liked the beer selection and the food is REALLY good! The meatball appetizers were excellent, but so were the wings and the garlic breadsticks. I didn't know the owners before coming in, but the bartender was also one of the owner (his wife is the other owner) and he was beyond nice, even when I was having trouble making a decision on my wine. What a great addition to San Marcos!! Stopped in tonight to see if they were open yet, since I had no intention on cooking dinners tonight. To my surprise they were. The environment is bright an cheery. The staff is attentive and friendly. An the food is top notch. Grabbed a whole pizza an a salad to go. Not overly priced (like most places these days). An it was made to order rather quickly. Will definitely be back to try other things an will Recommend it to others. read more

I've been here twice now. The pizza is good and overall I like the way the place is built out. I also love the intelligence of the no mask for employees. What I don't like is having to sit and listen to blaring hip hop rap garbage. I feel like it's a very poor music choice for an establishment that is frequented by families. read more

Great beer selection and excellent pizza. We went there for Sunday night football and had an fantastic experience. Staff was super friendly, ambiance/decor was on point, pizza was delicious and there was a great beer/drink selection. Celebrated a friend's birthday at this new neighborhood gem. You are greeted with a light, airy and very inviting decor. The service was top notch. Very attentive without being invasive. And the food...delicious. I ordered the chopped salad with chicken. Great flavor, perfect size and with plenty of added stuff to compliment the salad such as artichoke and fresh Parmesan cheese. I enjoyed a piece of the table's cauliflower crust pizza. So delicious and the crust was so soft. I would not have guessed it to be anything other than standard dough. Just tried this restaurant for the first time last week, and it is AMAZING! Like many, I was heartbroken when its predecessor, Flippin' Pizza, shut down its location there, but PIzzaBar is even better! We got the plain cheese and a pie with meatball, and they were sooooo yummy! The cheese, the sauce, the toppings, all were scrumptious, and even the dough was so incredible that we ate the crusts! Went here because of the reviews. Not sure why this place is rated so high. I guess there are a lot of people out the that like paper thin pizza crust. I ordered a Canadian bacon and sausage pizza. My wife got their meatball sub. We ate on the patio as we had our dog with us. The wife's sandwich was nothing special. The best part was the soft bread for her. Their beer selection lacks variety and is dull. The pizza was my biggest disappointment. The crust was a lot thinner than shown on their website. Pizza came out hot but in a box even though we were eating in. I asked why and got "well, we could put it on a rack I guess." Really? I went to pick up my first slice and found it nearly impossible to eat. The crust was so thin and soggy, the slice just kept shifting shapes on me. Topping were good. Not sure what style pizza has soggy, wilting slices. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. There is good pizza in San Marcos, just not here. read more

I thought this place would be amazing, but after coming here I showed up an hour before closing...and they even questioned making a pizza due to it being "close to closing." Then they managed to clean the entire place around me...keep in mind they arnt even closed yet, sweeping, stacking chairs on tables, taking o ur the trash. All to then get one last refill before my way out...oh wait...they took the nozzles off of the soda machine and I got sprayed with Dr Pepper. Pizza was good though read more
