This is my absolute favorite pizza in Marin. It's a really fun casual vibe and the servers are really kind. For appetizers, the Brussels sprouts are a must. The Tricolore salad is also delicious! The Yolanda, Escalle, and Lansdale are definitely our favorite pizzas - they're thin crust and light on the cheese but have such good flavor! Pizzalina claims to "enrich the community", but how can you when the staff/manager is combative and disrespectful? Thankfully there are MANY other pizza options as I won't be going back... here's why: I ordered 3 heat and slice pizzas (online) from Pizzalina as I like being able to take them home to heat and eat, hot out of the oven. When I arrived, the manager gave me fully cooked pizzas. I told him that I ordered the heat and slice. He said, "No we stopped doing that months ago." I told him that I had just ordered the heat and slice two weeks ago and again tonight. He said, "No, you couldn't have. We don't have that anymore. I should know, I'm the manager!" I even showed him that on the box it said "NB" for NO BAKE, but he STILL continued to argue with me! He then grabbed a woman and explained the situation. By this time I had found my order and showed her that their site STILL offers a heat and slice option, which I chose, and that they had made a mistake. She told me several times to " just bring them home and heat them for 3 minutes and they'll be good-I promise!" I explained, since they are fully cooked, cooking them will make them dry! She then said, "If you want me to redo them, It'll take at least 25 minutes. What do you want me to do?" I then said, "What I want you to do is make sure your manager knows the logistics of online orders and instead of asking me to wait 25 minutes for a mistake you made, you should offer some sort of compensation." She just ignored me. Needless to say, I left without an apology and with cold pizzas. DONE! read more

Definitely a new favorite place. Our server was super friendly and everyone else was super nice too. But you didn't come here to read my review of the people working here... You probably want to know about the food. Well, we ordered margherita pizzas and they were great! The thin crust was perfectly cooked, and the proportions of sauce and cheese were just right. Clearly all the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. I ate the whole thing while my friend had some of his left over to go home. $16 for a large personal pizza is reasonable for Marin. We went there just last night. One of the servers offered my husband to take his jacket to hang on the rack. He forgot on the way out and came back first thing the next morning. It's gone!!! He talked with the manager and all he said is they have lost and found and it's not there. No effort to take his name in case it turns up or no effort to ask the team if it had been seen, he just seemed defensive. I get it, we should have remembered on the way out, but to offer to take a coat and check back 12 hours later and it's gone is lame. The restaurant should be more responsible than this. read more

We were watching the Hunger Games on a cold, rainy Thursday, and boy did that make us hungry. So hungry that we just HAD to order takeout from Pizzalina, so we could munch while we watched the action romance series. We ordered a margarita pizza and the Alto pizza which had rosemary potatoes. I've never had potatoes on a pizza before, it was dense and intense, but overall I'd probably order another (and eat it too all in one sitting). And you can never go wrong with a margarita! Wink wink. Maybe why we decided to skip AA that night. Anyhoo! The staff was nice, they let us sit while we waited for our pizza & brought us waters. Dear Pizzalina...I really want to love you but I can't. Even after multiple times of being there. Your pizzas are pretty bad, unless your idea of toppings is kale and pumpkin. The pizza crust is uninspiring and your pizza sauce, or lack there of on some is something very disappointing. What saves this place is one dish, the pasta bolognese which is pretty good. It's conveniently located by Memorial Park, they serve beer and wine and the outdoor dining is great so long as the yellow jacks aren't in full season attacking dinners. Come for the convenience, come for the families with kids with dogs, come for the outdoor dining. But if pizza is really your thing, this is the last place I would go to in Marin.as a side note, be prepared to wait forever for service and food. read more

Have eaten here twice when I visit CA. Both meals were fantastic. Last salad of three citrus with fiore di latte and arugula with a drizzle of olive oil was one of the best I've had. Had takeout last night and it was delicious. We had the Meatballs, Tricolore Salad, Broccoli Di Ciccio, and the Escalle pizza. The Meatballs were amazing, tender and the sauce spot on. Salad and Broccoli did not disappoint, both were excellent. Escalle pizza was really good and would order again but I really want to try the Yolanda. Sorry no pictures, it was devoured as soon as it showed up. Will definitely be ordering again and hopefully will make some in person visits. read more

This is a generous 2-star rating. This restaurant was a huge disappointment. When me & a friend arrived, the first waiter was very rude. He pointed to a seat an told us to "sit at this table" and was rather stern about it. It just so happened to be the worst seat in the restaurant. Right in the middle were customers and servers walk around constantly. Would have made sense if it was the only table left but half the restaurant was empty. We saw a nicer, larger table off in a corner an I told him we preferred to be seated at the nicer table. The man had a fussy attitude an insisted we sit at the little table in the middle. I looked to another waiter an told the other waiter we wanted the other, larger table and that waiter said it was ok. The first waiter gave me & my friend a really dirty look an had an overall bad attitude. Glad he just went in to a corner an folded pizza boxes the rest of the night. Probably was the best idea. I was enticed to come here based on the photos of their photos on the internet. I was looking forward to having a cheese and assorted meat selection as an appetizer before a nice dinner. Come to find out, that was from the previous menu when the restaurant was under different management. We ordered drinks, pizza and pasta. There was a lot of staff and they were extremely busy an almost panicked. There wasn't that many customers in the restaurant. I really don't understand why it was so chaotic. Our food & drinks came. It was alright. Nothing spectacular, just average. One of the ladies working saw that were were not thrilled with their service. She saw her colleague act up earlier when we came in. She came over to apologize for the nasty service we received earlier and explained why the selections I ordered were no longer on the menu. We just became acquainted with this place and it reminds me a lot of Blueline pizza on the peninsula. The pizzas were delicious - similar thin crust style as Picco Pizzeria but maybe just slightly less good (but don't get me wrong - its really good). They also have a more extensive menu than Picco so its good if you don't just want pizza. Their Tricolore salad, Pumpkin Ravioli, Spaghetti and meatballs were super good - craving it now just thinking of it. It is a little pricey but we love everything we had. read more

Lovely pizza place that has Miyoko's vegan cheese and knows how to use it! They also clearly understand vegan, so we didn't have to do the whole explanation thing (which I always appreciate). We got the Margherita with mushrooms added and the Alto, both subbing in Miyokos for the cheese. They were both excellent, and I would definitely get them again. We also got the Wood Roasted Brussels Sprouts and the Broccoli Di Ciccio, which were good but could use slightly less oil. I look forward to coming back here again soon! read more

Come hungry, and bring money! Pizzalina is a really cute restaurant in a little strip mall in San Anselmo. Parking is tough, especially because this place is close to one of the driveways that leads into/out of the complex (it gets backed up). There isn't a ton of seating inside, but you should be able to find a table and get menus pretty quickly. Our server was pretty courteous and very patient with us as we navigated the menu. There is a decent selection of pizza, though I wish it was a bit more customizable. They don't really add or swap toppings to the pizzas on the menu. Also, one pizza is about $25, and it serves two people max. Once you order, however, your order comes out quickly. They use a brick fire oven, so I am pretty sure our pizza was done in under 5 minutes. That was pretty cool. We also had a nice tricolore salad, which was fresh and delicious. read more

Have been to Pizzalina a few times through the years but this was the first time I ordered a pizza to go under the new ownership. It was really delicious! The pizza crust was perfect- we heat up the pizza to crisp up the crust on an electric griddle, if you like crispy hot pizza, use your electric flat griddle or get one! The quality was definitely improved, not that there was anything wrong before. Pizzalina is now our preferred pizza in Marin. Can't wait to try out the rest of the menu in house soon! So in love! It's hard to find pizza places that have my favorite ingredient on pizza: broccoli! But BOOM!!: the Pastori pizza here does! Pizzalina has a great selection of pizzas and apps, and they also serve a variety of pasta dishes, desserts, and yes... adult drinks. They have a great location and terrific staff too. Pizzalina was the perfect choice for an impromptu weekday lunch. They have spread the tables out inside, now that we are in allowed to be seated on a limited basis indoors. They also have a large outdoor seating area with heaters and lots of sunshine on a day like today. The pizza itself was some thing right out of Naples, baked in a 900° woodfired oven, and bearing just the right amount of char that makes it authentic. We started out with a pizza to share, a dish of olives and a beautiful glass of Albarino, a Spanish white wine that goes perfect with lunch. Our second course was a Pappardelle Pasta, with a hearty Bolognese Sauce. It was the perfect amount for two people to share, along with the aforementioned pizza. For dessert we enjoyed a luscious tiramisu in a cup each of a beautiful Italian roast coffee. All in all a perfect meal, set off by friendly and accommodating service. A nice added bonus is that there is ample parking in this typical Marin shopping plaza. Personally, I think linguine with clams would be a welcome addition to the menu, and for sure it will keep me coming back again and again. read more

We are so happy Pizzalina has made it through this incredible time and are now open again! During Covid we had fun trying new restaurants, ordering food delivered was a treat for us and of course helped our local restaurants. We got addicted to Pizzalina! Their food is light, fresh, filled with flavor and we don't taste salt (thankfully). Last year the French Onion Soup was so good we ordered four for dinner with a salad so we could have it the next day. Tonight we ordered their spring pizza - don't know what was on it or what it was called. It is gone. We look forward to enjoying their restaurant after a year of loving their food! One can lament the lack of good ethnic food from developing countries available in Marin or one can embrace the plethora of California's interpretation of food from already developed countries. In this case, the latter is in order. Marin may not have needed another Italian-inspired restaurant but San Anselmo sure needed Pizzalina. With its Safeway-anchored strip mall location it took me a while to consider walking through Pizzalina's doors. The fact that it sits in the footprint of the former Round Table Pizza dissuaded me further. But then I walked through the doors and could see no evidence of what the place once was. It has been reborn with rustic wood finishings, an inviting counter/bar, a communal table, good lighting. What it once was is unrecognizable and what it is now is a hip, welcoming environment. It is an extremely well designed restaurant; one that appeals to my eyes and inspires me to believe that this place is going to be good. The menu is grown-up and reads similar to that at Larkspur's Pizzeria Pico, from which the owner is an almnus. If you know anything about Pico you know that it is always packed and that they serve great Neopolitan-style pizzas. Pizzalina is not packed but it serves very good pizzas (and more). The owner has received pizzaiolo certification from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana so it could be said that she knows what she's doing. Dinner began with a glass of on tap wine (Row 11 Pinot Noir, Local Blend 2010, $8) served in a sturdy glass. The menu offers an ample 8 wines on tap and many more from the bottle. Corkage is $15, waived if you also purchase a bottle from their menu. A good assortment of beer, ale, and lager are also offered. For food, I enjoyed the following: * Burrata with da Vero extra virgin olive oil, sea salt & crostini ($10) - A lovely plateful of fresh cheese, lightly dressed and salted greens, and toasted crostini on which to place it all. Very delicious and I particularly liked that the waitress told us to let her know if we needed additional crostini. * Al Forno Vegetable of the Day with extra virgin olive oil & sea salt ($6) - Baby brussel sprouts were the day's roast vegetables. I am quite adept at making my own; these were good but mine are better. (Tip: more crispness is desired). * Margherita Pizza (tomato, basil, mozzarella, parmesan & extra virgin olive oil, $12) - I am far from a pizza afficionado but thought this one simply perfect. With its pizza-based menu Pizzalina is certainly a restaurant in which children are welcomed but it is a more upscale experience than a pizzeria. Not fancy, but very adult in feeling which is something I appreciate more and more these days. Pizzalina is a great addition to the Ross Valley; sort of like having our own little version of Pizzeria Pico a bit closer to home. read more

The owner sent out an email with some new options to the menu, so when my bride left me for grandma duty I jumped on the opportunity to try one out. I chose this Cioppino - prawns, clams, mussels, Dungeness crab with slow roasted San Marzano sugo, aioli, herb flatbread (pictured) We lived in San Francisco for 35 years. It may be hard to believe that Pizzalina give me the BEST cioppino I've ever tasted. I liked the 100% shellfish vs. the typical fish/shellfish mix, I like the oven-roasted flavors, I liked the Jupiter Sangiovese on tap, and I loved sitting at the counter talking food with Miguel. I started with the Caesarlina salad, and finished with some Three Twins Ice Cream, one scoop of chocolate and one of vanilla. Ahh... a Monday night dinner alone... this time I was spoiled and satiated. Now i'm even more motivated to decide... will it be Housemade Gnocchi with Dungeness Crab & Delta asparagus in a tomato cream sauce OR Prawns Diavolo - Nduja sausage, garlic, chili flakes, butter, white wine, bread crumbs over spaghetti So many pasta choices, so little time! read more

Imma start this with saying first impressions are a big thing in my opinion. I called in an order for pick up, as I walked up to the counter a gentleman in a mask noticed me and head in my direction. Instead of being treated or kindly ask to wait I was met with his index finger in my face and silence. I've worked in restaurants most of career life, I get it it's busy and your rushing around but you never ignore n frankly be disrespectful to a guest because you are overwhelmed. I like their wood fire pizza however it always seems to be a little on the well- done side. I have gotten the margarita and marg with prosciutto. and the Brussels sprouts . The lemon olive oil sauce is excellent -so good. My nephews also love it a crowd pleaser all around. I have also gotten the chix entree with pasta w/ mixed veg was kinda oily. The service is a little scattered make sure to check your to p-go order before you leave to make sure you have everything. Pizzalina is a close walk from home for me. I dont go there a ton, but if i go out for a nice walk thru town i will stop in from time to time. Today was one of those days. I wasnt realy hungry enough for a whole pizza, so wasnt going to stop, but a sign out front caught my eye...they are now offering a new lunch special, that is a personal sized pizza, perfect for a quik lunch. They are only offering this size during lunch hours (11-2) so if ur in the mood for a great tastey quik lunch id say give it a try and you will be happy you did. The staff is always very pleasant and treat there guests well. There is indoor and outdoor seating options available. Inside is on the fancier side for pizza place, more has the feel of a fancy wine bar, so if ur into that insides the place for you. I myself typicaly choose to sit in the outer patio area and enjoy a lil sun while i eat. Either way cant go wrong. As for the pizza itself, its always made fresh to order and always tastes great n fills ya up. I cant wait to go back more frequently now during the lunch hours for the personal pies read more
