We went to Pizzalina after searching for a nice post-hike meal and it was perfect. We were impressed by how spacious it was, and the ambiance and decoration was very inviting. The cocktails we ordered were tasty. The pork ricotta meatballs were moist and delicious. Both the Margherita and Escalle (made with tomato, house mozzarella, house sausage, pepperoni, and fennel pollen) pizzas were awesome. I'm a huge fan of Neapolitan wood-fired pizza and this was no exception. You could tell that each meal was made with love, and grown locally and organically. This place is very busy, but I see why because so many people love it here! I can't say enough about how outstanding the staff was. If we could rate above 5 stars, we would. After delivering a few orders from Pizzalina for DoorDash, I had to try it for myself... I ordered a small Margherita pizza, and it was amazing! It came fresh out of the pizza oven, with a lovely thin crust and piping hot tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese. I thought I was in Italy for a moment. How can comfort food feel so light and not too filling, while also providing such satisfaction? It is a mystery to be solved for another day. I will definitely be back! read more

Our pizzas were overdone, very thin, and very skimpy on the toppings (I only got a few dollops of Vegan cheese). The salads were nice-sized and very crisp. Nice atmosphere. Staff wasn't very friendly. Service was fast, but they gave an "awkward" vibe. For example: we weren't greeted upon arrival. We went to the counter and said "hi. Party of 4." Delicious pizza and unique flavors! I stopped by here on the way back from a camping trip with a group of 11 people. There was one table that fit us perfectly, and the service was very friendly and quick, both to take our order and deliver our food (which was a good thing too since I had to get to the airport!) We tried 5 different pizzas - the Margherita, Sunnyside, Alto, Baltimore Park, and Escalle. I actually ended up liking all of them and was happy that they were the types of pizzas that I wasn't going to get anywhere else (at least not normally). The Sunnyside had a lot of corn - which I particularly enjoyed but be wary of that if you're not a huge corn fan. The Baltimore Park mushrooms were really juicy and delicious! The Escalle had an interesting flavor and while it wasn't my favorite out of the bunch I still thought it was pretty good. We pretty much inhaled the food and probably could have eaten more (but we wanted ice cream after)! If you're feeling hungry, then one pizza is definitely will only serve 2 people. The price looks expensive on the surface ($17 for a pizza??) but our bill ended up only being $12.50 a person including drinks and some meatballs. That's not a bad deal for gourmet pizza. If I had a chance to eat at this place more and the quality of the food and service was the same I would rate it 5 stars! I would definitely come back if I had the chance! read more

We've been craving good pizza so we thought we'd try and his place out (based on Yelp reviews)! This place did not disappoint! I ordered the Baltimore park which was a super yummy mushroom, garlic and truffle oil concoction!! Soooo good---Mushroom lovers delight! The crust is light and airy with the right amount of crunch (not oily). Every thing was super fresh. Hubby ordered the Pastori--chock full of fresh veggies. He loved it. For once I was able to taste his food too since he ordered veggie. The little one ordered rigatoni with Alfredo...and though she liked it, she kept asking for pieces of our pizza! We finished it off with their warm chocolate pudding which was to die for! I managed to get one bite before my two attacked it. It tasted like a really, really good soufflé. We tried Pizzalina this weekend. We only had pizza though, so this review is just based on that. I wish I could give it another half star. I think it was somewhere between 3 and 4. We had the margherita, the marinara, and the yolanda. All were delicious. The dough was okay - it wasn't nearly as good as Una Pizza Napoletana in SF but it was still good. There wasn't that yeasty taste and I would have liked it just a tiny bit thicker, but it was good. The rest of the menu looked great and we look forward to coming back and trying some of the pastas and risotto, not to mention the appetizers. Service was attentive. It's a small place so get there early! read more

I've been here a number of times and never reviewed, but I love to come during the week after the crowds are gone before closing and enjoy our meal in peace and quiet. The woodfired pizzas are delicious - I get the Pastore and my husband will get the Escalle and then we share a burrata appetizer or special salad and then have leftovers. He really is a fan of the braised beef on pappardelle but I see it's been replaced with duck. I've had the risotto before and was happy. I did not like the olive appetizer and just never ordered it again - there was a weird flavor for me off the hot olives, not sure what it was. Lastly, they always feature a nice selection of local and Napa wines including the Kendric and my splurge, the Paradigm half bottle - yummo! Nice addition to the area. Thanks Pizzalina. read more

delicious. One of the best pizza places I've been to. Fresh produce, manager told us they just got everything this morning from the farmers market. The pizzas had very rich flavors but doesn't make you feel heavy and bloated after eating. Service was great, very quick and the waiter made sure to keep my drink filled. Honestly I would almost give them a five star rating. I prefer my pizza to be more firm and more crispy on the bottom and for that reason alone is why I am not giving it a five. Best Neapolitan pizza in Marin and dare I say the North Bay. Absolutely wonderful whether plain or something more extravagant.

We love the food. I don't know why the overall review is not 5 stars across the board. We order delivery through Caviar and the food is delivered hot and fresh and very mindfully packaged for home delivery. The cold items are always separated from the hot meals which is not something most restaurants provide or even think of. Thank you to the Chef and staff at Pizzalina. All thumbs up. Can't wait for the lockdown to be over so that we can go in person. read more

Presented as an upscale place but is horribly overpriced and waiter was very pushy ( asked us every 30 seconds what our order was going to be, then asked us 5-6 times whether we were done eating or not ). LOVE. Loved the atmosphere as much as the food. We stopped in kind of late one night and got an inside table right away. The place was pretty full, so we ended up kind of near the door, which isn't the most ideal spot, but it worked out fine. Our server was very nice, the food arrived quickly, as the owner told us the wood fired oven cooks at 700 degrees, and it was wonderful! WE tried the spaghetti & meatballs (4 GIANT meatballs) and a pizza called Escalle, which is a meaty one. The crust was perfectly done, not too thick or thin/delicate. The taste was great and I think that the composition of the pizza was just perfect. I actually don't think I've had a better woodfired pizza! They have lots of tables outdoors, but in the winter it's a little cold out there at night, so we were glad to make it inside. :) I wouldn't hesitate to go back anytime to try more of their Italian goodness! Love this spot in san anselmo. Like...I really love this spot. My wife and I used to live near pizzeria Delfina on Fillmore in SF, and we were frequent customers. Then we moved to New York for 4 years where pizza is king, so you can imagine when we moved home and the only options I thought we would have in Marin were chains, pizzalina was a pleasant surprise. I'd stack pizzalina up against Delfina any day. It's almost a carbon copy and I mean that as a compliment. It's incredibly good pizza, the sauce, crust and dough all top notch. The wood burning brick Oven spews out the smells of glorious Italian aromas. The tricolore salad, the apps, the chicken in mushroom sauce, the gnocchi are all really good as well. The brussel sprouts and meatballs too...and the beer and wine list are affordable and offer a great selection. The space itself is nice, clean and modern and plenty of outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome too on the patio, which also has a nice outdoor fireplace and heat lamps when it's cooler out. Staff is friendly too and service is efficient. One final note. This place is really family friendly and we take our daughter here often. It can be a bit loud inside and as it should be, that's what Italian eating is all about! And and always, always check the chalkboard for specials. They always have a special pizza, antipasti like burrata or seasonal salad and a lunch special. read more

After some previous good experiences, we were very disappointed on this visit. The lettuce on the Caesar salad was wilted and the 2 pizzas we ordered were soggy and underdone ! We sent them back to be cooked further and they Came back in worse shape if that's possible. Most disappointing was, waitress never returned to check to see if we were satisfied or even to refill our water. I love good pizza and was thrilled when this place opened but if I'm spending $50 on 2 small pies and a salad I expect it to be great ! Probably won't waste my $ here again. read more

Pizzalina is awesome! My girlfriend and I ate there last night for our third time and the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the summer salad and the Margherita pizza and I have to say that the salad was one of the best that I've ever had in my life! Our dining experience was a pleasant one as we chose to eat indoors amongst other happy diners. After finishing off our dinner we topped it off with their rich and delicious butterscotch pudding which was a surprisingly different than what I was expecting but just as delicious.
