Gotta say, I love Pizza Man Dan's, especially their bleu cheese dressing. The food is good and plentiful, and there's a good selection. Prices are decent and I always take a box home because of the quantity of food they give you. The coupons are also good. Several locations and it's busy but their service is consistently good. So my son chose this spot to have his birthday party. I would definitely say this is a family environment . Good food homestyle pizza. Everyone super kind and friendly, most importantly relaxed. We live in Ojai And and when we go out to the restaurants locally you cannot hear yourself think, they're so loud, i'm so thankful it was really nice to be able to talk to the person that was sitting at the same table as me and be able to hear what they said. We had kids at one table, adults at another. It's important to remember this is not a fancy restaurant this is a very casual spot with easy eats. . good times. My problem has been ordering through Yelp both times I've ordered through Yelp my order has not been properly received an executed so now pizza man Dan has to bring me a check because it goes through GrubHub. We wanted to try Tony's pizza down the street after all the great reviews, but they informed us it would be an hour for our pizza, also All they did was pizza, very basic menu. So back to yelp and we ended up here. My husband was so happy to see a salad bar! After all this was obviously a former Shakey's and they discontinued the all u can eat salad bar a few years ago to my husbands dismay. We ordered the garlic bread based on suggestions and a half and half medium pizza. With 3 drinks and one salad bar for the hubby it came to $40. The tables were very sticky, but after my friend spilled her soda all over our table...I let it slide! The atmosphere is none...but we got a kick out of the service, not exactly for the right reasons! There were about 4 tables and the guy calls out a name and no one moves...he was calling the wrong name. Then after our order was delivered, he came by asking if we we were waiting for any other pizzas....huh? Apparently, they had a pizza with no owner! Lol, it seemed as if they were all "smoking" something in the back! BUT, the pizza was great! The salad bar was decent and my 2 year old ate up the garlic bread! I'm not sure we'd make a trip just to come back here again, but if you don't want to wait and you want a better than fast food pizza....this will do! read more

Very good food and a great menu with a lot of delicious items, but my one complaint is the delivery price. 6.99 for delivery is higher than most other restaurants. Pizza man Dan's prices have gone up. 10.00 for a sub is a bit higher than the other restaurants also. For a family of 4 it's almost 50.00 for 3 subs and a child's meal with no extras or drinks. Well Gas is 4.00 a gallon so I get it everything else goes up too. Still one of the best pizza places I've had. read more

And there was way too much cheese, it almost seemed like they were trying to hide the raw dough with an excess amount of cheese. Beware. Website pizza calculator indicates two medium pizzas for $19.88. Only one medium was delivered for a total of $23.49. Manager James said prices had risen and $19.88 advertised price for two medium pizzas was not valid. He further stated that additional pizza would be $23.39, and confirmed that the two medium pizza would cost almost $50.00. Unbelievable! James was advised that this family of five will never order from them again. I have been ordering from Pizza Man Dan's for about 6 months now. I order sometimes up to 5 times a week as I work from home and they accept PayPal, which is the main reason I order from them. They recently changed the website format and I was having trouble navigating it. Dan himself got on the phone with me and explained the new format so I could easily find my way around the menu. He also explained that the PayPal feature crashed that morning so they couldn't process PayPal orders. Not only did he find a workaround, the order was one of the easiest I've ever placed. This is a prime example of a solid businessman doing everything he can to make sure a regular is 100% satisfied. Even though I love Toppers (been eating there since it was Rusty's), Pizza Man Dan has provided consistently good customer service. It's also the only other place you can get chorizo on your pizza. I have worked for both Dominos and Hungry Howies, as well as mom and pop pizza places. I can make a pepperoni pizza in less than 60 seconds. My hat goes off to this place for being solid and focusing on what is the most important: The customers. read more

Order room service after a long day of traveling on the train. Very good. I am a picky person when it comes to pizza and the taste of the pizza dough but I loved their pizza. The perfect size. Salad was a very good portion for two people. I always eat ranch dressing with my pizza and it was way better than I expected. The woman who took our order said that it was going to be 30 minutes for our order to get here. It actually was about 15-20 mins which wins on my boat. The only pizza I get in Ventura! It is so welcoming for big families. They have long tables for everyone to stay close to each other. The kids love love the little arcade games that they have and they stay entertained while the food is being prepared. I also think their new soda machine is kinda of amazing! My go to pizza place in Ventura has been Toppers for years, but pizza man dans has won me over in many ways. I usually get my order for pick up and have non stop excellent service from call to check out. Becky the main cashier is usually there when I pick up and I'm always greeted with a warm hello and excellent service. Juan, one of the cooks and the person who usually hands me my pizza is always friendly and always offers the best customer service. I usually order the thin crust garden special which is LOADED with veggies and they offer free garlic, jalapeños and pineapple to that pizza which makes the perfect sweet, salty and savory flavor contrasts.
