Seriously ridiculous experience with this place, my boyfriend called ahead of time and specifically asked if they excepted ebt, and more specifically p-ebt the operator said we take all ebt, except for our store in Carpinteria. We said okay thanks. We hung up to decide what we were going to order. Called back placed the order then to our surprise once we pick up the order all of a sudden they don't except p-ebt, so I try and explain that the operator specifically said they did and the guy was just like idk what to tell you, you should call the call center again, so I did and that guy literally tells me ohhh idk, maybe can I suggest another form of payment. Wtf!!!!! Are you serious. I'm so embarrassed at this point and now my family is without dinner!!!!!! I've never been so hurt and upset, I thought we did everything right so that we wouldn't have to experience things like this, but I guess the jerk on the phone just never has gone without, you know cuz he would have just used another form of payment. This has become our favorite pizza place in Ventura. We get it delivered from the one on Santa Clara St. They have a choice of crust (we prefer the thin crust) and they put the toppings all the way to the edge. We ordered the veggie lovers, and it was loaded with veggies. Nothing worse than a veggie pizza made by someone who doesn't like veggies and skimps on them. We also ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. Definitely one of our favorites! Then for the boring people, regular pepperoni. We used a coupon for a free calzone and also received $10 off, for a total of $56 for 3 large pizzas and one calzone. We fed 8 adults and still had some leftover!! Good stuff!! read more

I had never been to this PizzaMan Dan's location, so I dropped in for lunch. Clean restaurant, friendly - helpful staff that is knowledgeable of the menu and assisted with making a selection. Food was fresh and delicious! I ordered half a hot turkey sandwich (soft, fresh bread, melted cheese, slices of moist turkey, peppers on the side -- yum!!) and my mom ordered a salad and personal pizza. With a drink, the total was $17 -- which is just about what you'd pay at a drive-thru. I'll definitely be having many more meals here. read more

Pizzaman Dan's was a good spot to eat at they stack the toppings on the pizza and there mozzarella sticks were good as well

They took my money and never delivered my food. When I called to ask where my food was after two hours I got no answer but could clearly see that my $ was taken ASAP. I highly so not recommend this place. Aside from their shitty service their good is mediocre at best. read more

I got a gift certificate for the lunch special & told them it was my first time visiting here. The lunch special is an individual pizza, salad bar and drink. There was a baseball team of at least 30 teenage boys there who had pretty much demolished the salad bar and it looked horrible. So I asked for a substitution and they reluctantly said okay to potato wedges. Later on, the owner said that I was taking advantage of her. Wow, we are at the Vta RV camp ground, ordered the meat lover with garlic and in a bliss. Zee Avi in the background. We have a bottle of goooood Napa cab on the ready. Nice fire and comfy chairs. So shocked it was perfect, crust held the slice, not too much of any meat to over power, deeeeelish. Are you kidding me with the chocolate cake. Four layers, real cocoa, true gourmet level. Let me start by saying that what I ordered and received may not fit most people's description of pizza. That said the round, topping cupboard, cheesy bread circle that I ordered and received was delicious. Let me explain. I ordered the taco pizza. This pizza had ground beef, cheese, lettuce, nacho cheese Doritos, and a few other toppings I can't recall. It was the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten. The chips were nice and crunchy, the meet was season well, and there was lots of gooey a delicious cheese. I have never had a traditional pizza from pizza man Dan's, and I don't know that I ever will. Their special pizzas are amazing, and I'm always excited to try something new. We also got a calzone. The calzone was just okay. It was nothing to rave about, but it was good quality food. I don't know that I would order it again. I will however, definitely be back for another taco pizza. read more

Average pizza, but convenient. Now their prices went up and I was told by the manager that iey're good up again in the new year. They also now have a higher minimum you need to spend for the privilege of paying a delivery fee. Their food is fine, but there are so many other pizza places in the area that are just as good that will deliver without having to overspend or order more than I want. Place is super good, I've been to two locations (assuming there is more) and have had delivery quite a few times. Every time the pizza or calzone or anything was great. The only complaint I could have and idk if it's a complaint just threw me off. When you get boneless wings for delivery they don't put the sauce on the wings. It's in the tiniest little cup and you have to poor it on yourself. Not nearly enough comes and I only Had an order of 12. So ask for extra!!!! Besides that great place to eat. read more

Kind of disappointed for the price. $2.00 for EVERY topping you get (veggies and meats are the same price). $6.99 for a small salad, $4.50 for the creme brulee cheesecake (it's mediocre). This Pizzaman Dan's is the busiest but I've always gotten good service and I love their wallpaper. My one complaint was that the place looked rundown. But they replaced all their tables and redid their restrooms. I had a salad and a meatball and sausage calzone last night. Yeah baby!!! read more

I ordered a small pepperoni with mushrooms on it and some buffalo wings yesterday. First of all, it was super pricy. We usually order from Round Table but were looking for quality without the big price tag. I LOVE coupons... so you know I'm a sucker for their online ordering. I especially enjoy the fact that I can use multiple coupons for the same order. We have been very happy with the pizza. (Deep dish is the way to go) You can also order it under or overcooked. There's so many options. I did recently try one of their Calzones and it was pretty awful. I'm hoping it was just what I ordered that was bad so I'm willing to try it again. They have also won us over because of late night ordering. read more

What's happening to this place? the past 2 times I've had a delivery the pizza has been overcooked. The edges look almost burnt and the toppings are all dried up. The cheese wasn't melty, it was like eating day old pizza. Very disappointing considering both orders were over $30. read more

We just moved to Ventura and delivery options to our house are slim. Tonight we decided to try Pizza Man Dan's and so glad we did. I'm gluten free and that can be challenging when ordering in. The pizza I had tonight was so flavorful and fresh. My husband had a gluten filled pizza and wings and loved them as well. This is now our go to place for our once a month (sometimes twice) pizza. read more

We were camping at Emma Wood State Beach and decided to take the kids for pizza. The positives: the service was fast; the pizza was hot; the place was very clean and they had arcade games for the kids. The downside: We ordered a pepperoni thin crust pizza and because every inch was covered with pepperoni -- The kids and I had to pick off some of the pepperoni because it was just way too much salt and oil and when we picked off the pepperoni the cheese came completely off and we were left with a limp paper thin slice of dough. The pizza was a big disappointment. The hot wings were deep fried so they were crispy... and if that's the way you like them, then you would enjoy them as well. I would also mention that the bathroom situation is not ideal for those with disabilities. There was a gentleman with a walker that had to go to the counter to get a key to access the bathroom then walk back across the dining area to the bathroom. I saw him inch his way to the door to try to open it, but it was impossible to do so with one hand on his walker for support, the other hand holding the key and simultaneously trying to turn the handle and pull open a very, very heavy door. I got up and helped him enter the restroom and helped him exit the restroom as well and returned the key to the person at the counter. Not much the owners can do about that except maybe replace the doors with something that is not so very heavy (even for those of us without disabilities). read more
