I've been eyeing this spot for a few months now and believed it would fill the pizza-shaped hole in my heart. The last few places I've had pizza were just NOT hitting the spot. Pizzeria Da Gloria is ABSOLUTELY the best pizza I've had in STL. We came for lunch and sat inside - it's a quaint little spot but there is a beautiful patio. We got a margherita pizza and a spring onion pesto pizza. The crust on this pizza was perfect - not soggy and had a great chew. That Spring Onion Pizza was so good so definitely try that before the season ends. For our sides, we got the mortadella skewers which was covered in a tangy, sweet sauce. I dipped a few of my slices in that sauce and it was great. We also got the caesar salad which was tossed really well and every bite was coated in dressing. We ended our meal with their basque cheesecake which I think may have been regular cheesecake? I was expecting the caramelized crust and a softer bite BUT it doesn't matter. That was such a yummy cheesecake and that apple cider caramel was a great touch. I love this place! Great food, great service, and love the intimate feel inside.
We made the mistake thinking we could get a table on the hill Saturday night without a reservation. Due to us being on the wait list, we decided to stop in Pizzeria Da Gloria for a drink until our table was ready. We managed to snag a couple seats at the bar and were given water and menus rather quickly. My boyfriend got the Mango Mezcal and I got the Spring Sangria. The mango mezcal had a nice balance of tequila and other sweet flavors while having the tajin rim for additional spice. The sangria was unlike one I've had before as it had coconut rum and other flavors. It was different but in a good way. Unsure of how much longer we'd be waiting, we got an order of Fughuese. I'm sure I butchered the spelling but it's their bread and olive service. The bread was piping hot and the olive oil was fresh and pure. Of course, once we started eating our table was ready /9 we quickly settled and left. It was nice to finally come here even if we only got drinks. I've heard riveting reviews about this place so we def want to come back and try the pizza!
Our family lives within walking distance of this very popular neighborhood spot. Street parking on the Hill though is usually easy to find. On a Wednesday night we were seated right away on the large patio. It was a perfect summer evening so the ambiance was great. Not too loud so you could carry on a conversation. Pizza is the star here but we also ordered two salads that were outstanding- the Caprese and House Salad. We shared the two salads between three people. Got two pizzas and had leftovers to take home. Mushroom and pepperoni. The mozzarella is to die for! My slight complaint was we needed refills on the water and those were slower than should have been. Don't miss this as a lunch or dinner destination on the Hill. The patio is well covered so it makes for a cozy setting.
Pizzeria da Gloria was great! You can smell the pizza as you come around the corner. We sat on the patio and they had temp walls up to help protect against the cold, so we could still enjoy the sunshine while staying warm on a 50 degree evening. Our waitress was so nice and attentive and the food was good! We got a seasonal pesto pizza and mushroom pizza. The seasonal was okay, but the mushroom pizza was really good! We also got a salad and cheese board to start and both were good. The wine flight was cute and a great option for anyone wanting to try multiple wines. We will be back when the weather is a bit nicer so we can enjoy the full patio experience!
Pizzeria Da Gloria was opening about the same time that I was moving out of St. Louis. I moved across the river to Illinois, so it took me awhile to visit. Now I am embarrassed that it took me as long as it dit to experience their delicious pizzas. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The front dining room is small and charming like a European Cafe. In the back where the bar is located has the feel of a 1970's rathskeller. Both of them give off a comforting feeling. Our server for lunch was Zoe. She was friendly and very attentive. Since my friend had been here before she already knew what she wanted. Zoe was very patient with me as I took my time to select my pizza. I finally decided on a Italian Sausage with Jalapeños. My BFF went with her favorite, Bonci, which is a thinly sliced Eggplant pizza. We both went with the Salad and Pizza Lunch Special. As our salad, we both choose, Creamy Italian. It was a very flavorful salad. My only complaint is that the pieces of mixed greens and lettuce were on the big side. I wish they were chopped in smaller pieces, making it easier to jab with a fork. My friends and I met up for lunch the other day at Pizzeria Da Gloria and it was a great experience all around! We made a reservation just in case they were going to be busy and I am glad we did. When we arrived, they were packed and had a wait. It seems like this is a great place to be on a Friday afternoon. Parking was a mess, but I think we were all able to get a spot 2-3 blocks away so it wasn't too bad of a walk. Our server was really friendly and made sure we had water in our glasses at all times and offered other drinks from the menu. She gave us time to look over the menu and recommended the lunch specials. We each ordered a salad with a pizza as part of the lunch special. We each ordered the creamy Italian salad to start with and they were brought out pretty quickly. The salad was so good and it was a decent portion. When the pizzas came out, we were excited to eat and did some sharing sick we each ordered something different. My mushroom pizza was such a good choice. I also was excited to try the stracciatella pizza since my friend ordered that one and it was super tasty. Our server brought over some to go boxes since she knew we weren't going to be able to eat everything. She kindly split the check in 3 for us and gave us time to pack up and pay. The receipt has a QR code so that you can pay from the table instead of using a credit card/cash if you'd like to pay that way (which we did)! Overall, I am so glad to know they have a lunch special and can see myself going back again for another visit since their pizza is so good!
Pizzeria Da Gloria is one of my favorite if not my favorite pizza spot. I love the pepperoni pizza which includes jalapeno's and I always add mushrooms. The pizza has a crispy chewy crust and the perfect ratio of thinness to toppings, so you can taste every ingredient with each bite. I have also tried the eggplant pizza which is spicy and equally as good. We love their Caesar salad which has the perfect amount of dressing to salad ratio. The tanginess of the anchovy against the mounds of parmesan cheese and croutons is delectable. The pizzas are 12in and we usually order an additional side or two to compensate and we're fine. I've eaten inside and on the patio and both were enjoyable experiences. They have a nice seasonal cocktail menu and the bartender knows how to mix a good drink. My favorite is their blackberry margarita when you can catch it in season with a sugar rim, this cocktail is absolutely phenomenal! The wait staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions when deciding on trying something new. I usually try to catch one of the seasonal pizza specials as well. I recommend this spot to newcomers all the time.
Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by friendly staff, there was a warm well lit dining area to the left of the entrance and open patio seating directly to the right of the entrance. Starting with drink orders, I ordered a Coca-cola and the soft-drinks were canned. Then I ordered mortadella skewers and fougasse for appetizers, the mortadella skewers were well seasoned and light and resting in a bed of seasoned olive oil, the fougasse was airy and came with butter and pesto for dipping, I took advantage of the seasoned olive oil and dipped the fougasse in the oil after loading up on pesto, it was delicious. I then ordered a cheese pizza, Italian sausage pizza, mushroom pizza, and stracciatella pizza. I will confess I am a bit of a pizza snob, and a little bit of a purist, and Pizzaria Da Gloria really delivers, from the dough being light, thin, and perfectly foldable, the crust chewy and bubbly, with some charring from the woodfire, the sauce being well balanced and flavorful, the cheese complimenting the sauce and dough and not overtaking the flavor, the Italian sausage well flavored and spiced, and the mushrooms nice and creamy, everything hit in a way I haven't experienced since I lived in New York and was hitting spots like Joe's and John's of Bleecker. There was also a blackberry jam and cheddar pizza that I had to try on my out and it did not disappoint. The prices are bit much for the size of the Pies, but the flavor is worth the price of admission when one considers some less than ideal pizza places charge more for what I would consider cheese and cracker bread. If you're looking for a good pie in the local area this is the joint.
Unusual for us to try a pizza place we've never been to before when we're on the Hill instead of one of our known favorites, but it was the MIL's birthday and she wanted pizza for dinner. This place had some good recommendations, so we tried it and weren't disappointed. Our server was a little bit slow and screwed up (maybe it was the back of the house, IDK) one of my two pizzas, but I was having a nice time and didn't feel the need to bring the mistake up even though I wouldn't eat the pizza, my wife and daughter would the next day. The pizzas are cooked in a wood burning oven and are fantastic. The crust is nice and chewy with just the right amount of crunch. They sell their dough balls to go for $5 as well! I had several pumpkin beers and completely forgot about the dough balls. Next time. The place is bigger than I thought it would be from the outside. There's a bar in the back in addition to the seating in the front. The kitchen is open so you can see the crew making the food. My wife and daughter enjoyed a salad which was easily big enough for two people to split. If you're in the mood for a good sit down pizza meal and don't want another Imo's style STL style pizza (I like them as much as the next guy, but variety is the spice of life and all that, right?) this is a great place to try.
I'm a huge fan of pumpkin anything, so when I saw that this place had a pumpkin vodka pizza, I jumped at the chance to try it. Keep in mind that I did carry out, so I can't really speak to the service, though the person who handed me my order was nice enough. It was also a pretty quick turnaround. Maybe 25 minutes at most, from ordering to getting the food. The pizza itself was very fresh, delicious, and pretty unique. The one criticism I would give, however, is on the side of sauce in the box. They should probably look at taping that container or keeping it separate, as I ended up with a garlic scented box, as the container spilled its contents while I was driving. Fortunately, my box of tissues and Blues magnet calendar took the bulk of the hit, but it was a bit messier than intended. Still, I would return, though I'll skip the side of sauce next time.

The menu includes salads, starters, bar choices, but come for the pizza. Oven fired, nice and delicious crust, thin but not a cracker. Many combinations of meat and cheeses from which to choose. About a 12" size. Prices typical. You're on the Hill...all just right!
Sat on the patio on a nice day, and the food was fresh and delicious. I think the pesto pizza could use a bit more pesto (despite how green it is) but it was still very good. I loved how fresh everything was on the cheese board
We stopped by Pizzeria da Gloria for lunch on a Friday and I was super impressed. Their lunch special is something I would seek out again in the future. I really loved everything we ate. We got the Caesar and meatballs to start, then the sausage pizza and Sungold Vodka seasonal special. The waiter recommended adding soppressata to the special and I'm really glad he did. It was easily my favorite. The sauce was rich and incredibly flavorful, and the crust was excellent. My daughter took one bite and immediately grabbed another piece, so yes, kid approved. Both spritzes we got were really good too, limoncello and lemon basil, and both were part of the lunch specials. The service was very friendly and the space was nice without feeling too fancy. It was easy to bring our daughter and we saw plenty of other families there too. Definitely one of those places we left talking about coming back. read more
Got to try this place and loved it! A friend recommended that we try this pizza place on The Hill, but also said to call and have a reservation, and I'm glad we did! The wait was hours if not, so be sure to plan ahead! We sat outside in their patio and loved the weather, even with some rain, the screens kept us dry and cool. Drinks came out quickly and were tasty, my wife got a spritz and I tried the Spagett. It was sweeter than I expected, but nice! We split creamy Italian salad and enjoyed it, even through we realized at the end our waiter forgot our dressing! It was still tasty, but not so much "creamy" without it! The pizzas all looked good, but we went with the bonci and loved the taste. The stracciatella pizza was also delicious, that sauce is addictive! What a sweet little pizza shop discovery in The Hill! If you're in this area, you can probably anticipate that parking would be difficult to find, but it wasn't too bad for a Wednesday dinner. I made sure to make a reservation because this was highly recommended, and I'm sure glad I did. It's a busy and bustling place! You know it's going to be good if there are lots of people enjoying their food. The meatballs were yummy, but the pizza with all the mushrooms on it was incredible! Cute pizzeria on The Hill. Made a reservation through their website. Lots of drink selections, wine and beer. Great salads and pizza. We selected a pizza that the proceeds would aid tornado victims. Nice!! St. Louis style with provel cheese it was delicious. Bonus for me that they offer turkey sausage. Salads were fresh and drinks were cold. Nice staff and a cute restaurant. read more

Popped in for lunch on the patio on a nice day. Pizzas were delicious, wood fired. One was a little burnt on the crust more than it should be but overall better than your average pizza. Service was quick, will definitely be back. read more

Great specialty pizzas if you like thin crust with thick outer border of crust and specialty toppings. Bonci is my favorite. Pizza is always perfectly cooked and is wood-fired pizza. Meatballs are good too. Not a huge dining spot so would recommend reservations for dinner. Service personnel is nice. Cool to see the open kitchen atmosphere. read more
I've been to pizzeria da Gloria on 2 separate occasions. They were able to accommodate our larger party which was fantastic! We were also able to order lemon drop shots at dinner as a part of a birthday celebration as well. I love the way they cook their pizzas and they have really good cocktails too. The staff is very friendly and pretty on top of things. I really can't wait to try out the patio as it looks like it has a totally different vibe than the inside! read more

Pizza da Gloria on the Hill is proof great lunch special still exist. I don't shop for specials but this is a true special. Salad + pizza for $23 that could feed me until next week! That's crazy! I went with cheese pizza with jalapeno and the creamy Italian salad and chef's kiss. Joe Kurowski clearly learned something in the "Michelangelo of dough" masterclass because this crust is art. One of my fave pizzas in the city. Don't you dare sleep on the vibe at this place. The patio is fantastic. read more

Hands down best pizza I've had in St Louis. I got mine to go - got the mushroom pizza and it was amazing. I also got ranch as I typically dip mine for more flavor but I didn't even want to dip bc the flavor on its own was incredible, from the crust, to the sauce, to the cheese and toppings ratios everything was perfection. It was delivered curbside right when I arrived so it was very quick and easy to get. Loved it and can't wait to come back and try it in the restaurant! read more

They have Aperitivo Hour Tuesday-Thursday (5-6 p.m.) with discounted spritzes and small plates. During Lent, they offer a deliciously unique Clam Pizza! You can also buy a dough ball and have a pizza night at home. I think they offer the best spritzes in the city. read more
This place always delivers. Pizza, drinks, vibe, patio, location... they've got it all. Their limoncello spritz was my obsession all last summer, and honestly, it's still hard to beat. My super picky brother can't get enough of their pizza. The wood-fired pies are next level; you can taste the olive oil and fresh ingredients in every bite. The Caesar salad is solid too. I was celebrating my birthday tonight and they even brought out a complimentary dessert, with a choice between two, a nice touch. My friend and I have a standing reservation every couple of weeks, and you should too (because you WILL need one). Trust. read more

Great pizza, interesting variety, well made and a superb char Their own cocktails, only the second place I have found ferment artichoke cocktails on a menu and it was delicious Service is to be as expected Excellent use of the space with all the dining area and pizza oven. *Update* What a difference a week makes! When to lunch on Saturday with a 1pm reservation. Promptly seated and served then waited over 50 minutes for a couple of menu (no sub) pizzas to be made. It was still good but we did not want to spend our afternoon waiting for pizza. read more

Oh my goodness! So delish! Stopped in for lunch between appointments. I'd heard of this b place but never been. All of the waitstaff were kind, friendly, and efficient. I'd mentioned the coming appointment and the waitress immediately took my order and promptly brought my salad followed by the pizza, a yummy lunch special. The house Balsamic salad dressing is the best I've tasted! Delicious. The pizza was hot and crispy but chewy as well. It was great. Took half the pizza home. The place filled up as I ate and the owner (I believe) came out and helped expedite service. Excellent choice for a delicious lunch. You can see into the kitchen which was fun to see the pizzas being made. Great place with a nice atmosphere. I'll be back with friends! read more
