    Great craft beer

First time here and we were impressed. We loved the pizza! The crust was just perfect, thicker on the outside but nice and crispy on the inside. They have a really nice patio that you can sit on to have your pizza and a craft beer and it is dog friendly. They also have a drive-through if you don't even wanna get out of your car and pick up your pizza. Lots of good beers that they make themselves to choose from. We will definitely be back!

Side Project pizza has very good pizza on their patio in Maplewood directly across from their main brewery and shop that is my favorite brewery in St. Louis. The pizza we had including the SPB (side project brewing - sausage, Parmesan and bacon) I ordered and the side project Hawaiian pizza and both had excellent quality toppings but we thought both pizzas were a little bready along the edges and discarded some of the crusty ends although both pizzas tasted great especially in their centers. Neapolitan style pizzas are my favorite style of pizza and this was a similar style pie and features a sourdough crust that's really good.. For appetizers we shared a spinach salad with a great dressing and wings with habanero sauce and the wings brought some heat and I loved those. Service is friendly and you order at the window and then give them a table number and they'll bring the pizza out to you if you decide to dine in on the patio and was a great night to eat outside the night I was there but they'll heat it if it's too cool and provide a/c if it's too hot apparently.

Side project, known for their award winning craft beers recently opened a pizza restaurant (formerly known as Pizza Champ). I recently visited on 3.14 day to take advantage of their deals and had a great time. You can either order at the window or using a QR cold on the table, and then a server brings the food to you. I ordered their pizza beer, half and half taco/buffalo chicken pizza, and chili garlic wings. Overall the food was good and atmosphere was decent. All the staff were very nice and I look forward to coming back again when the weather is warm!

Side Project Pizza is my new favorite pizza spot From the sourdough crust crafted with an 11-year-old yeast strain to delicious snacks food like flavorful wings and fresh salads, there is something for everyone. The Pepperoni Pizza is definitely one of my top in STL! The mini cups get super crispy and the red sauce is so good! The staff was super friendly and the patio is perfect for the nicer weather ahead!

If you thought their beer was delicious, stop by for the pizza. This is a no miss and Katie is a delightful hostess!!

So I feel like Side Project Pizza is pretty much the same product as Pizza Champ other than the pizzas have gone from 18" to 14". Nice flavorful (fermentation) crisp crust and quality toppings. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza (no celery) and I liked it. The chicken is pretty good and the blue cheese crumbles were generous. I thought the pieces of chicken were too large and could be better distributed on the pizza. Otherwise this is a great non St. Louis style pizza option. I'll be back!

This is a new addition to Maplewood. The brewery is affiliated with Side Project and then there is also a pizza place. You order from the two businesses separately but sit in a share covered patio. My wife and I stopped in here on a day out. The beer was good. I didn't love the atmosphere. It likely is going to be better in the summer, but in the winter it was just a bit cold and dreary. The shared patio is a bit industrial. I also was not a fan of the fact that the space utilized disposable plates and tableware. It seemed very wasteful. Overall it is an okay place to check out if you are in Maplewood. I think it has a bit of growing pains but will improve with time. Right now I think it needs to distinguish itself from Side Project. Many of the beers overlapped and Side Project Brewery is a nicer space.

Forget IMO's. Come here for pizza instead! They're thin crust pizzas but like way better than your classic thin crust pizzas. Seating is a covered outdoors area so I recommend coming to dine in when the weather is nice. We got served pretty quickly and they have some cool drinks on the menu. Very easy to order and to enjoy.

The people working there were nice. The pizza was way over cooked. The crust tasted like a store bought crust. Every bite was crunchy.

I called to place an order, the man that answered was very short, he said they were busy and wait would be an hour and and a half, I said that's fine. Continuing on, ordered the special minus mushroom. Wanted to ask if a different topping could be added but was cut off and my ordering was over. OK, NBD. Got to the place to get the pizza, my husband went in to grab it and the man at the counter was rude and short with him. Also the place was empty so maybe we called in the order during a dinner rush hense the 95 min wait, again NBD. An employee pulled the pizza out tossed in in the counter and walked away. Then a younger employee walked up to the counter and collected money. I'm hoping the older man was just having a bad day, but being rude in 2 different manners is not a good look. When we get home and started to enjoy this pie half way into eating a slice was a nice piece of rubber, kind of looking like a hair tie or something. Now that's a huge turn off. First experience and now the last. Sorry folks but bad attitude and a foreign object is at all not appealing.

One of my daughters chose O+O Pizza and I'm glad she did! I received a call the day of our reservation to confirm we were still planning on being there. We were a group of seven, so I get it. I told the person who called that our daughter chose this place over a home cooked meal or any other restaurant in town, so there was a high expectation. I also told him o was kidding and we laughed. Even though I was kidding about the high expectations, they gave us a great meal and we had a good time. They actually came through with a few little things to make it special and while it wasn't necessary, it was very nice. The music was fun. Our service was good. Our food was great. There was literally nothing that happened that made me hesitate to give them the highest rating. Shout out to Tommy and Travis for everything they did! Will we go back? Most definitely!

The octopus starter had great flavor and I would order it again but the toasted ravioli was incredibly bland which was surprising given the pancetta and fontina cheese inclusion. Everything else was also just ok. I didn't snag a picture of the tiramisu and I wish I did because it looks quite different than some of the older pictures shared on Yelp already. Texturally it was on the dryer side and kind of grainy. Also, do want to call out that it was very loud in the restaurant if that is important to you. Not just dinner noise from other guests, but the music was playing much too loudly for a dinner venue. There are some other menu items that sounded interesting, so we will give it another shot, but this visit fell a little flat for us.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.
