Stopped by on our way up to visit friends and we were blown away but how good Pizzeria Luba is. A true gem all around! We sat at the bar, so service was lowkey & no frills. The Caesar salad might have the best we've ever had. We shared 2 gluten free pizzas that were outstanding, also might have been some of the best GF pizza we've had. Can't wait to return when we're back in the area!

Fun place to hangout. Great employees, tasty food. We ate the Margarita pizza and the foggy dew mushroom pizza (my favorite). Also had a Cesar salad piled high with Parmesan snow. Drank the Almanac pale ale. Saw other diners ordered the meatballs. They looked delicious, so I plan to order them on my next visit. Which will probably be soon.

Stopped in for an early dinner. auburn was hopping that day with a 100 mile race attendees and their many fans! Staff were very friendly, food portions are a good size, pizza's are enough for 2 to share. The Caesar salad was delicious as well. We had the mushroom pizza, out of this world good and tasty. Margarita pizza decent but not my fave, anxious to try the other great sounding pies next time!

We arrived on a Saturday around 4:30pm, we scored a parking spot in their lot. We were seated right away without reservation and the service was outstanding from the jump. We ordered foccacia bread with balsamic vinegar, oil, and garlic dip. The foccacia was amazingly soft and had a delicious hint of rosemary...dipping it in the sauce made it extra delicious. It was so good, we decided to order another loaf and dipping sauce. We ordered 3 different pizzas to split among 4 people - the bonci (sausage, baby kale) , the foggy dew mushroom, and the cotto (salami). The server mentioned how they all had white sauce so after some thinking and wanting to get the full experience we decided to order a 4th pizza - the fat lou meat pizza (with red sauce). The wait wasn't too bad and the pizzas came out piping hot. The slices are pretty big too. They were even kind enough to bring sides of ranch, parmesan, and red pepper chili flakes. I knew I had to try all 4 - so my rankings were: #1 bonci #2 the fat lou #3 foggy dew mushroom #4 cotto The pizza was on thin Sourdough crust which makes this place unique and they rotate pizza topping options. My favorite - the bonci - had the best creamy white sauce and flavorful sausage and kale. I loved it. I definitely can see how this was a top ranked pizza place in California. I recommend any pizza lover to add this to their list.

What a delightful surprise to discover Pizzeria Luba! Because I saw so many customers inside and even some customers waiting outside, I decided to give this restaurant a try. High Yelp star rating too! From Yelp, I could tell that the Foggy Dew Mushroom pizza and Fat Lou pizza were the most popular and recommended. My server confirmed my research. Since a mushroom pizza sounded more special to me and had the most review mentions, I decided to order it. Great crust texture. Caramelized onions. Fancy oyster mushrooms. Pizzeria Luba bakes its 100% organic sourdough pizzas in a stone oven! Yelpers also love the pork & beef Meatballs starter. You get 3 meatballs topped with marinara sauce, Parmesan cheese, and Basil. Pics of the Caesar Salad and Butter Lettuce Salad look enticing. Make sure to check the chalkboard for the pizza special. To accompany your pizza, the server will offer you Ranch dressing, Parmesan cheese, and red chili flakes. Restaurant has a nice local craft beer and wine list. I ordered a can of North Canyon Cider Co Pomegranate Apple hard cider. Some wines come from Spain, Italy, France, and Napa Valley. Service was lovely. Various servers kept checking on me to make sure I had everything I needed and was enjoying my meal. It's the best and most attentive group service effort I've seen in a long time. I appreciated this a lot as a solo diner. I enjoyed the graphic design poster art adorning the dining room walls and restroom. Artsy and classy. The chalkboard menu showed a drawing of a skull with pepperoni pizza slice oozing cheese. The restroom door is intriguing. It's a thick wooden door with chunky metal handles, latches, and bolts. I wonder if it used to be a freezer room. Pizzeria Luba is a hidden gem. If you want good pizza, it's worth making the trip to charming little Auburn.

We were lucky to get a spot in the parking lot across the street. There was a short line that had already formed even before they opened. We started with the strawberries & burrata (toasted pine nuts, arugula, olive oil, balsamic, Maldon). It was light and tasty. We also got the foggy dew mushroom pizza (mozzarella, fontina, caramelized onions, roasted oyster mushrooms, roasted garlic cream, truffle oil, chives)- 6 slices. The crust is thin, which is preferable to me. I enjoyed the pizza overall, but it was a bit oiler than I liked. They also have a nice selection of beer to accompany your pizza.

We ordered 5 different pizzas to go, hoping to sample a variety, but overall the experience was somewhat disappointing. The crust was fine, but the pizzas were extremely greasy--so much oil that it soaked through the paper. Some flavors had potential, like the jalapeño and tomato slice, but the slices were heavy and unbalanced. The mushroom pizza was especially soggy from excess oil. On top of that, we ordered a salad for $13 and were surprised by how tiny it was. It also wasn't a Caesar salad as expected, but a completely different salad. For the price and the size of the order, we expected better quality and consistency. With less grease, clearer menu descriptions, and better portion sizes, this place could improve a lot.

Ohh Pizza Luba, you are constantly on my mind. We took another trek to Auburn just to see you. We started with the fresh focaccia and the bruschetta special. I could seriously eat this for dinner! So flavorful and delicious. Then we ordered the Fat Lou (how can you not), pesto special of the day, chorizo and foggy mushroom with vegan cheese. No one spoke a word as we devoured each crispy, chewy, tasty bite. There was enough leftover for lunch the next day, what a treat! It was packed for a Thursday night, the customer service is top notch! Can't wait for next time!

My husband and I stopped in last night for the first time-- it was amazing! I got the Zucca & he got the hot pepperoni. Both were amazing! I loved the crust! And their house made dill ranch was also so good. It was pretty busy for a Saturday night; we waited about 35 minutes. But it was worth it! Loved the vibes in there too, the lighting is nice and it's very lively.

This is a great place to get pizza and enjoy a good vibe. Theres plenty of seating and I imagine it fills up. We ordered a pepperoni, sausage and cheese pizza and I have to say - it was pretty good. The toppings are quality and plentiful. The crust was crispy and the sourdough stood out but didn't overpower. The music played was awesome and the variety of drinks definitely makes this a place to hang out and unwind after a long work day. Thanks for the great food and great service!!!

They keep the energy up, make it engaging, and you can tell they really care about creating a great experience. One thing that really stood out to me was how responsive management is. I mentioned that the changing table in the women's restroom was broken, and by the time we came back the following week, it had already been replaced. That level of follow-through is rare and really appreciated. We actually drive in from Wheatland every week just to come here, which probably says it all. The pizza was really solid (and I say this coming from Oakland / SF, which have really great pizza). Good crust, tasty toppings. We got a Lean Green Pesto Flatbread (minus the chicken), Reset Veggie Flatbread, Pickle Flatbread, spinach salad, and green salad. The Pickle Flatbread was a bit sweeter than I'd like, but tasty with beer. Everything else was great. Spinach salad was solid, green salad was eh but did the job of balancing out all the pizza.

What I got looked like somebody just slapped dough together, smeared the bare minimum of sauce on it, threw on a couple scraps of onion, and called it a pizza. Most of it had no cheese, no sauce -- just dry, slightly burnt dough and crust. (See pictures) The "fresh tomatoes" were even worse. By the time I got home, they had fallen right off the pizza. Last time I checked, you're supposed to be able to pick up a slice of pizza. If they were to actually chopped the tomatoes so they'd stick to the tiny amount of cheese on the pizza, at least I could have enjoyed a little tomato with my pizza. To top it off, there were toppings I never even ordered and some things, I don't even know what they were, including black olives, which I can't stand. That just shows how little attention or care goes into making these pizzas. Honestly, it feels like whoever is running this kitchen or making the pizzas has zero pride in what they're serving. I'm obviously not the first person that is pointed out large amount of no topping on the edges of the pizza come on guys you can do better than this.
