Came in for a dinner stop on our way back to Nevada. It was a bit off the freeway, but we had a craving! Easy to access/locate and parking was a breeze. The lady at the counter was so incredibly welcoming and patient. She made excellent suggestions and overall, made the experience wonderful. We ordered garlic cheesy bread, and a basic pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and olive. Everything came out hot and cooked to perfection. Tons of flavor and melty cheese. Would absolutely order again. The restaurant was clean, open, and they had a fan blowing to help cool it down which was nice. Highly recommend stopping in! read more

We moved to Auburn Ca in 2006 and the first place we ate while moving in was Mountain Mike's because we always used to eat at the one in Angel's Camp when we would stay at our family cabin. Update update~~~ so happy to report this is like an entirety new place! From decor to food! Attended a party here and was so happy to see the makeover inside! Looks modern & amazing! In addition every pizza that came out was cooked to perfection and delicious! The owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating through out the entire event. I've had such s change of mind now I'd def be willing to have my own group events and start doing more family nights here again too! Wow this place in lacking some decor inside and in desperate need of a makeover. Holes in booths, walls, mismatch paint, tiles in ceiling and stark bright white lighting throughout! Pizza buffet was boring selection of a couple small pizzas and they were out of desert pizza all together! And the chicken is Grisly brown meat nasty cheap chicken. THEY DONT EVEN GET A STAR. They have delivered to me before and I have give them lots of business. The "owner" was SO RUDE TO ME. She takes my order and goes there is a $9 delivery charge for that far of a drive. I agree. She then tells me that I need to make it a larger pizza or they can't deliver there. No where online do they have minimum and what is that $9 going to. My car is an suv and $9 can get me 45 miles. Don't lie and say they get it because I have asked their drivers personally if it all goes to them and IT DOES NOT! The woman then hung up on me. When I called back asking for the reason she hung yo on me, the call was completely diverted saying ma'am we don't deliver that far. So wait now you don't deliver that far in confused. The woman who answers the phone here is probably the rudest person I've ever ordered food from. She cuts you off and doesn't allow you to talk, she barks orders to her staff while trying to take your order, so I can only assume she's the owners wife or daughter, because if she wasn't family I'm sure she'd be fired. I've never had such difficulties ordering pizza before! I called and a lady answered and said "Thank you for calling Mountain Mikes" and then immediately hung up. I figured something had happened to the phone. So I called again and ordered my pizza and the same lady said "Thank you, goodbye" and the hung up. Didn't even get my name or ask when I was picking up. I called once more and finally was able to pay over the phone and tell her when I was picking it up. I got there 10 minutes early and she could not find my order, she finally put my pizza in the oven and I was able to get out of there after 30 minutes of waiting. Also, nobody was wearing their masks and when an employee came back after smoking outside (I saw him when I walked in) he didn't even wash his hands and immediately started making pizza! This has got to be the WORST location in the Mountain Mike's chain. I saw the "Sign Twirler" advertising the Lunch Buffet ($6.50 M-F), and thought "oh boy.....pizza!" The entire restaurant was FILTHY.....there were dirty plates & dishes on EVERY table. I literally could NOT find a clean table to sit down to eat my food! I order from here maybe once a month. They are the only place that delivers to where I live. Their customer service is atrocious. They are always rude and in a hurry. Even the few times I've gone in to eat they have rushed me out before I was even done. The only saving grace is the pizza and the delivery guys. I love the pizza, its fantastically done. The drivers are always nice and understanding. I tip them well. Those two things make the pizza still worth ordering, but I'm still going to seek out different joints to deliver. Ordered four pizzas to be delivered to my son and his friends for Sunday football. Pizzas were delivered right on time and the guys loved them. I live out of town so I had to order over the phone the day before and hope for the best. The young lady I talked to was very nice and took the time to tell me about their deals. The next day I called back just to confirm and spoke with the manager. He too was very polite and took the time to check on my order and reassure me that the pizzas would be delivered on time. I LOVE this pizza. I regularly crave this pizza. If I'm going to be eating pizza, there's a 50-50 chance that this is the pizza I will be ordering. I cannot speak to other reviewer's commentary on the cleanliness of the store, as we almost always do take-out or delivery (YAY delivery) but the times that I have eaten there I did not notice any extreme mess. I will say that I find the enormous and very loud TV to be a deterrent to dining in-store, and that the restaurant itself was getting a little bit shabby the last time I was there. That said, I am a huge, enormous, staggering fan of their pizza. Bring on the tiny pepperonis, I say! And it should be noted that I've never, not once, received anything other than friendly, cheerful, efficient service from any of the staff at this restaurant. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for that TV. Oh, one last thing: While their pizza may not be cheap, I don't think that prices ranging from $8.60-13.00 for a small pizza and $25.00-32.00 for their extra large are exactly in the $$$ range. We ordered a sandwich and jalapeño poppers. The sandwich was pre made and sat in the fridge awhile... you could tell by the taste. They gave use mayo packets instead of putting mayo on the sandwich (lol). The jalapeño poppers tasted like they were put in the microwave.. not crispy, just breaded and nasty. Always great pizza, fresh salad fixings in the clean salad bar and clean, family friendly atmosphere. Family owned and operated location. We've had it delivered, picked it up to go and have stopped in for the lunch buffet. We've never been disappointed. The salad bar is always well stocked with all my favorites. It's always clean, and they keep knifes that cut tomatoes perfectly at the ready with the forks. I love tomatoes but hate eating large cherry tomatoes in one bite, and I like slicing them for my toddler, so access to a good knife is important to me. The lunch buffet is AWESOME at this location. No less than 3 pizzas available at a time and they keep it stocked as needed. The owner works the lunch shift and he is great. Our first time for the lunch buffet we popped in with 10 minutes left on the buffet but he didn't care, he brought pizza to our table once we were the only buffet customers left. He let me continue to get salad too. The owner is extremely friendly and gracious. He knows we have plenty of pizza places to choose from here in Auburn, and he appreciates his customers. read more
