[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean spacious and bright interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly service. Simple menu, they just focus on salads, pizza and drinks. I enjoyed my local beer from Poughkeepsie. Our mixed greens salad was excellent. We ordered a Margherita pizza with half a side of sausage. It was about the right amount for myself and my daughter to share. It was pretty good, thin crust, good dough. Could have had bit more char on the crust and base to help hold everything together as it was a bit too wet. I saw a reviewer here say it was as good or better than new haven pizza but having grown up in the next town over from new haven, I will say that this is better than average pizza but not really close to new haven-level. Go here if you are in the mood for pizza and are nearby.

We took a drive to gorgeous Rhinebeck for a nice walk and decided to try Posto since the reviews were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The pizzeria is nestled at the end of a cobblestone path with many small shops around it. It also has outdoor sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated immediately and we were offered the best crusted bread with some oil to deep. The kids and my mom wanted more! We ordered the Mediterranean salad ($17) the Cesar ($17) and three margaritas (26). It was 5 of us and we devoured the salads. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The pizzas were probably one of the best I had! The sauce was sweet, the cheese was a combination of fresh and grated mozzarella which I liked that since it covered the whole pie. The dough was the highlight of the pizza. Crusty and chewy at the same time!!

Such a delightful dinner experience! My wife and I arrived in Rhinebeck arriving flying across the country and this was where we stopped in for dinner. The staff was friendly, the Margherita pizza was delicious (incredible dough, crust, and sauce) and we had to try the baba Louie after seeing it in other reviews. Loved every bite!

Delicious pizza straight from the wood fired oven. Crust is just the right balance of crisp and chewy. Quality is fantastic but a lot of the pizza selections are very similar, not too much variety. The Nutella calzone makes for a great dessert.

Portnoy undersold this place. This is a mid to high 9 at minimum! Super fast and courteous service. Plenty of seating indoors and outside in a courtyard. Speaking of courtyard, this place is off the main street, when you see an overhang between two buildings that says "Courtyard", make your way through to pizza greatness. Talked to the chef/owner for a bit, great convo about Pizza spots we have all tried across the NY / NJ area (always great to calibrate with Pizza wizards)! Learned a lot about their style too- wood fired but not your double zero, soft and chewy dough/crust that ends up making people leave it behind (side note, in my mind if you don't eat the whole slice, it was not a great pie). Back to the topic: they use American flour so it has a little bite but also can get crispy and hold itself together. I personally love a tiny bit of char on my crust and not on the cheese- this place delivers! Great people, great food. And we walked way bellies full, souls nourished AND with some recommendations back in NJ where we live- how's that for a culinary experience?

Our first time in Kingston and saw this on yelp! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute place but not very spacious if you go during busy times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do not drink the tap water - it tasted horrible like sewage water. So we ordered a bottle of their aqua panna which tasted like water (nothing amazing just water - at least not like their tap). We also got a diet soda which comes in the tiny 8oz glass bottles; if you get a regular coke they come in the larger glass bottles but for diet it only comes in this small one. We got the arugula salad (9/10) - I don't usually like fruits in my salads but the apple slices were the perfect touch to lessen the sourness of the vinaigrette - it was a great salad and a good portion for the table with pizza or by itself for one; note it has goat cheese which I love but some may not. The Margherita pizza with pepperoni (10/10) is what I would go to order again for pizza; even without the pepperoni. We also got the Ponte vecchio (7/10) pizza which has no tomato sauce and mostly has ricotta instead - I didn't really like this as it was very heavy on the bacon and wasn't as clean tasting as the Margherita and was on the heavy side but for those who love bacon, it may be one to consider. Note that the pizzas are not a usual large size but is more for a single person (it is a little bigger than a usual individual pie size) if this was all they were eating. For a family of 5 where 3 were kids under 11yrs - 2 pies and the salad was just the perfect amount.

Easily the best pizza I have found in the Hudson Valley. We tried the margherita and the marinara + pepperoni, both were perfect. Also had a spinach salad w bacon and mushrooms, also very good. We'll be back.

Excellent service and food. Crust was perfect and the fresh basil was a nice touch. Service was quick and the pizza arrived quickly.

Not your average pizza joint. Terrific thin crusted pizza, wood fired while you wait. Flavorful fresh basil laid on top of the cheese. Besides, one of the pizza makers looks just like Johnny Depp. read more

This has to be the best pizza in the Hudson Valley. The Marino is my personal favorite with olives and soppressata. However, even the margherita is really good. The menu is very simple but so tasty. You must try this place! read more

It can be tough to find great pizza. The skizzas at Gigi are great and sometimes the generic "pizza" from Village is ok, but Posto has the real deal. Patrick serves a very limited menu of delicious shareable salads, great oven fired pizzas. There's also the secret Nutella dessert that's not on the menu... Nice choice of wines puts Posto into the real meal category and there's no by the slice. It can get crazy sometimes when there's lots of kids, but it's a small price to pay. One day somebody's going to pony up the $1600 for the original Raging Bull photos, but not yet! The place is hard to find as it's tucked in the back courtyard, but Posto deserves it's loyal following read more

This is a great little pizzeria in the beautiful village of Rhinebeck! The owner was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious. We had the Marino pizza with soppressata and olives. Pizzas are a little on the small side, but you definitely get what you pay for. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and that the owners care about the business. I have only had the pizza, but the pies are perfect every time. read more

My husband and I always share the arugala salad and get two different pies and we eat half of each pie and take the rest home and have something to look forward to the next day. Delicious Posto pizzas! Decent drinks selection. Hostess (co-owner) Olga decidedly unwelcoming; she drops menus on tables without smiling or sincerely greeting her customers, unless she knows them. We have dined in a few times, and also had several takeout meals, but are not regulars. Patrons should nevertheless be greeted in a genuinely friendly manner, if not as enthusiastically as regulars, whose names you may know. Very nice outdoor environment. Restaurant restroom has years of visible grime and desperately requires scrubbing and repainting. I hope the kitchen receives better sanitation. Overall it's an attractive, pleasant spot with attentive service and creative, quality food. Recommended. read more

This place was just ok. The menu is very limited and very pricy if you do not want to share your meal with the person you go with. The crust is very good, but is not worth the price. If you need gluten free, you can only have a salad. The dining area is very crowded and people walking by bump into you throughout your meal. You can watch your food being made, which unfortunately revealed a larger problem. The person making your pizza has long hair and does not wear a hat or hairnet. This is not only unsanitary, but it's actually against health codes! Very disappointed. read more

Delicious wood fired individual pizza with fresh ingredients. Simple and elegant. The service was friendly except for the hostess (maybe the owner?). She was rude and unfriendly and almost made me turn around and leave. But I stood firm and stayed and it was worth it. Pizza had a doughy, pillowy crust with just enough char. The pizza itself was thin and sauce was tasty. You won't be disappointed. read more

We LOVE Pizza from Italy...thin, crisp crust with a chewy edge, a simple yet delicious sauce made of great quality tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, wood roasted mushrooms and fennel sausage with scrumptious cheese that no one in America seems to know about. It is cooked in a 700 degree wood fired pizza oven and is watched like a hawk and turned every minute or two for perfectly even color. The attention to each pizza is amazing and each is a work of edible art. The owner's son made our two pizzas and we ordered two to go ( one as a gift to our Italian friend) who is as much as an officianado as we. Perfect service, cute decor and the continuation of a family business teaming with pride and care. It was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive....every mile! read more

The pizza is good. It's wood fire personal size pizzas that are good for sharing too. I was disturbed when I saw that the baby high chairs are stored in the bathroom. That just seems so gross to me. I would go back though next time I am in the area to try another pizza. read more

Came here for lunch on a snowy sunday. It's tucked away in an adorable little courtyard. We ordered the Margherita pizza and the Baba Louie dessert. We were in heaven. Absolutely incredible. The pizza was thin and crispy with great flavor and not greasy at all. The dessert was amazing. Nutella wrapped in wood fired pizza dough and topped with powdered sugar. We we're in Rhinebeck for the day and stopped here based on great reviews. Seriously some of the best pizza I've ever had-and I've had pizza across the globe. We had the Margherita and Grana Padano and highly recommend it. I give it 8 out of 8 slices. Talked to the owner who was genuinely a great guy. He has passion for food. Go. Here. Again and again. My daughter recommended the Ponte Vecchio pizza and she was spot on. The mix of spinach, bacon and ricotta was wonderful. The chocolate hazelnut calzone was pretty rich, but went well with espresso. We'll be back soon! read more

I came to this place and was greeted almost immediately by the host. He was very nice and was always using his manners and being an overall good guy. The service was flawless. Never made an error whether it was for the order or the food. The food was amazing. Get the Caprese appetizer, very good dish. The pizzas came fast but were fresh and good. Overall, if you are in the area, check this place out, or else you will miss out on good food. read more

We went in on a good time, was not busy at all I'm sure later that night it was..the menu is very small. However the pizza we ordered was fantastic . It's a shame where their location is, we walked into it practically otherwise we would have went to village pizza on the main road. Look them up if you are up that way. read more

I had the best pizza in the east and the west over the past month. A few weeks ago I was visiting Phoenix and took the opportunity to visit what has been rated the best pizza in the US... Pizzeria Bianco. I found the equivalent on the east coast one block off the town center in Rhinebeck NY tucked away in a cobblestone courtyard. We had a group of eight so we were able to order a variety of salads and pizzas. The salads and pizza were large and certainly enough to split for two people. Everyone enjoyed their salads and pizza - I particularly liked the Mama Mia pizza which is smoked mozzarella, roasted onions and fennel sausage - which was as good as the "Wiseguy" I had at Biancos. I also loved the Ponte Vecchio pizza was is loaded with ricotta. For dessert we had Baba Louie which is best described as a nutlella calzone and powered sugar which was a bit hit with our group! read more

Went in November 2014. Gotta say, some of the best pie I ever ate! (Different Strokes for Different Folks Acknowledged.) The place is classy and feels great when you walk in from the NY cold. I talked with the Owner/Pizza Master and he schooled me a little on all the best places/different styles in NYC. I can honestly say his was at least equal to any other establishment I have had. It's really an art for this guy and his pizza is impressive. We had the Mamma Mia with the Onion, Sausage and Smoked Mozz. It was melt in your mouth good. read more

The birthday girl enjoyed trout, and a small warm chocolate cake with ice cream, with a candle. Delicious! She had to ask the waitress, what is gluten free because the menu is not clearly labeled. I think there is room for improvement, that is easy and cheap. We got a bottle of wine , it was served in regular glasses, we had to request wine glasses for wine. My wife got Swordfish. Enjoyed some and brought home the rest. Asked Google if she could give it to the dog. Google said No! Don't feed your dog swordfish because of the High Mercury! If you can't feed it to the dog, people can't eat it either! So she threw it in the garbage. I think Market Street should re evaluate their menu choices. Also, Market Street could do better than inexpensive pasta for vegans and vegetarians, at this price point. Something with beans or soy meat, vegan Italian sausage, there is so much out there in 2025. We left the 1900's a long time ago. Even the CIA in neighboring Hyde Park is teaching vegan cooking. How about an upgrade? Please? Helpful?

I got more! We were in the back room with a large 2 family party and everyone had a good experience. The staff was attentive and took great care of us. The star of the show for me was the Bianca "Skizza" - Skizzas are what they call their pizza-like experience....super thin dough, not quite NYC style in its taste and texture, but at least as thin with a unique overall texture and flavor to it. The kind of taste that sticks with you and makes you wonder "when can I have that again." I tend to get margherita or a basic tomato cheese situation to suss out any place offering pizza of any kind, but strayed from my comfort level and went for the Bianca which was truly a delicious experience. Gigi Rosemary Fig Jam, Pear, Arugula, Goat Cheese, Mozzarella, Truffle Oil created a super delicious and crave worthy experience. I finished the whole pie by myself with no issues. (Okay, maybe my wife had a slice, it's hard to remember...I just remember every bite being delicious.) There are other vegetarian options including pastas and a lentil soup. Plus a delicious looking "Barbina" salad, and the menu is helpfully labeled with which items are vegetarian. There was something for everyone at Gigi's and everyone in our 16 member+ party was happy to have eaten there.

Orders were taken all around us, with servers turning their backs and leaving the dining room. No water was brought to the table and no drink order was taken. It was abundantly clear that they did not want us to stay. Absolutely horrible. Maybe it was for the best, as the food reviews ain't that great. Visit at your own risk.

I agree with all of the 5 star rated comments! Kristy H.--------not sure where you ate pizza that night, but you have "GROSSLY" mistakened it to be Pizzeria Posto! I have Italian born and 1st generation family and friends from out of town who always ask me to take them to Pizzeria Posto when they come to visit me because they love the Pizza so much! They also love the owners who are as friendly as can be! Rhinebeck is so lucky to have this gem of a restaurant that came to the area less than a year ago! I live in Poughkeepsie and wish they were still here so that I could go as frequently as I did when they were closer to me. But it's SOOO worth the trip! Nothing greasy about this pizza! Pizzeria Posto is a solid spot for pizza lovers! The crust here is absolutely fantastic--perfectly crisp on the outside with just the right amount of chewiness inside. The toppings are top-notch, too. They tasted super fresh and well-balanced, with each ingredient really shining through. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Service-wise, it was smooth and efficient. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without hovering too much. It's the kind of place where you feel well taken care of but still get to enjoy a relaxed meal. Wonderfully affordable pizza cooked to perfection, this new pizza place is sure to please everyone in the family. They have a type for every pallet and it is cooked thin in a wood burning oven, making the crust crisp and delish! The salads are large and as a bonus the atmosphere is great. Although no slices, pizzas are easily shared but I doubt you will want to part with yours! My personal favorite is the marinara which is just simply sauce garlic and basil with no cheese. this was one of the worst experiences I have had at a pizza shop. the size and quality for the price was over board the staff was rude when I asked if I could have extra cheese and pepperoni with one stating "If you want crappy pizza you should go eat at two brothers pizza, this is for dignified people" I was also told "if I could not quite my child (6 weeks old at the time)I would have to leave? I was in shock that this owner would higher such rude staff. Never going again will never recommend it. read more

I've been to Italy and this is every bit as good as what they serve over there. Celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary there and had a wonderful evening. I love the remodeling done to Pizzeria Posto amid COVID-19, the outside tent really is a nice touch. The ambiance, service, and quality are all the same...if not better! Specifically to health guidelines, the staff is constantly cleaning countertops, tables, wearing their masks, etc. to protect their food and customers. I DEFINITELY would recommend taking the trip down to appreciate that the best pizza in NY is still in business! read more

This is the best pizza I've ever had. For any New Yorkers reading this, it reminds me of John's Pizza on Bleeker Street (when it was still great.) I recommend it often and everyone agrees that it is amazing. I like that they keep their menu limited -- they make amazing pizzas and great salads -- nothing else.
