The pizza here is not our favorite thing but everything else is amazing! I'm a pesto lover. Their pesto pasta is some of the best I've ever had. The salads are always super fresh. Appetizers are all worth trying! If you try a pizza the chili oil is a must. The chili oil can be drizzled over just about anything. I live in the neighborhood and was excited to give the new joint a try. Beautiful and open interior, with two large pizza ovens featured prominently. I took a seat at the bar, and my server explained what makes their pizza special. I remember hearing the mozzarella is made from water buffalo. I chose a nice glass of cab, and a "white"'pizza with pancetta, sliced potatoes, and basil. My server suggested adding a fried egg, which was an excellent call. Pizza was delicious. Their crust is wonderful. I will be back often. I look forward to patio weather. read more

I live within walking distance and have been twice now. The first time, it took 15 minutes or so after being seated for a waitress to even greet us. The second time, I ordered a pizza for carry out, only to find out (once I walked home) that I was given the incorrect pizza. I had ordered a vegetarian pizza and was given one with meat all over it. Had to call back and make yet another trip up there to get the correct pizza. Overall, the food is great, but I have not had great experiences with service unfortunately. read more

Dropped in before a show at the Granada on a Sunday. Didn't have to wait, but wasn't dead either. Service was great. Waiter was friendly and sold the place well. It was our first visit so explained things well. We started with the focaccia, which was very good. It's simple, served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and olives. Lots of it. We then each had a salad, she had the mista and added the pine nuts. I had the pancetta. Both were good portions and well balanced with the "goodies". We the. Shared the capricciosa and added the spianata, which was spicy but really made the pizza. Loved the pizza. The red sauce was good but not overwhelming. Plenty of toppings to make the pizza interesting. We had thought about adding the tiramisu, but honestly didn't have room. Good food and good service. read more

We went to the Greenville location and enjoyed their patio seating with a bottle of wine. The arancini was a great app and cannolis and tiramisu for desert is a must have. WOW! This place was impressive! My husband and one of our couple friends went to this place on Saturday night and we were really impressed!! The atmosphere and interior are beautiful and very trendy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was DELICIOUS! I got the Rodfather pizza, which is basically like a spicier version of a plain pepperoni, in my opinion. I would like to give this place 5 stars because the pizza is great. Except I picked up 2 pizzas from there yesterday and there was a short black hair baked into the cheese. I had finished all besides 2 slices at this point and my appetite was completely ruined along with the fact I was extremely grossed out that I had eaten other slices. Excellent service. I came here with a large group. The food came out fast, and the night I happened to have gone, was the night of the release of the new happy hour menu. My daugher's club lacrosse team from the DC area hosted a team dinner on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Pizzeria Testa in the Lower Greenville area (across from the Granada). We reserved the Terrace Room for 42 guests and the Wine Room for 40 guests (I believe they can accommodate 92). We could not have had a better experience. In scheduling the event, Liz, the manager, was very responsive to all our questions and concerns regarding food allergies, timing, costs and more. She laid out a simple and affordable plan for group parties. The bread, salads and pizzas were served in a timely manner. Parents were able to order adult beverages separately on their own tab. The four servers were courteous, and graciously and diligently responded to the numerous drink orders and attended to the various dining needs. The restaurant is a new building, very clean and spacious. Overall, A+, 5-star rating for Liz and Pizzeria Testa. read more

Went here with some friends tonight and had a great experience. Staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We had the rosette cotto as an appetizer which was delicious. We had three pizzas, all of which were wonderful. My favorite was the calabrese. We finished off with the tiramisu, which was absolutely fabulous. Every single pizza is great! My favorite is the Rod Father. These are authentic Italian pizzas baked in a super hot oven in about 60 seconds. Huge dog friendly patio and the staff genuinely cares. Owner introduces himself and makes sure everything is okay. Love this place! read more

I've been there 4 times now, and every visit has been great. The staff is always top-notch, and I even got a dish made meat-free especially for me by the chef, thanks to our awesome waitress. (Potato croquettes like I had in Italy.) And I once got my favorite brunch dish way after brunch ended, thanks to my other wonderful server. If you don't know what authentic Neapolitan pizza is supposed to be like, save your commentary, please. You just sound silly. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to because I love this place so much. Perfect Pizza! This a spectacular new addition to Greenville area. We originally stopped in for lunch and have been back regularly for ourselves and whenever we need a place to entertain guests. The space is beautiful and we already have our favorite people there - Erin behind the bar is a joy to speak and dine with. If we're sitting down we always ask for Stephanie. We were lucky enough on our first visit to meet Operations Manager, Brian and Mark the GM of this location. Both took the time to share the history and success of their other location (Frisco) and share the sense of history of the name (TESTA) as well as the natural and simple ingredients in their food. We've sampled most of the menu -with larger groups we always go with the metro pizza - a yard-long pizza consisting of four different types - all baked 60 seconds in the ovens directly from Italy. They're getting ready to open the gorgeous outside area which has beautiful fans and lighting and they have a couple inside areas that can be separated from the main dining area for events, group dinners. Reasonably priced and everyone is so welcoming - easy to come back to. Special appetizer to try is the bresaola with arugula and ask for the chile oil (not chile pepper) to cautiously drizzle on your pizza. read more

I loved the feeling and the vibes of this place but the food was subpar. I ordered the pesto pasta and the prosciutto and melon and it was honestly just ehh. I've had better food at central market. It wasn't anything special. The prosciutto was a little off too. I love cured meats but it just tasted really poor quality. Service was 10/10. I really like Tim's service. Super kind and super sweet. My husband and I dined at Pizzeria Testa last with another couple and the only thing we enjoyed was the food. The valet line completely blocked traffic and look 10+minutes. We walk in to find the place barely a quarter full. And then we waited...and waited...and waited to be greeted and place a drink order. 15 min later we got a waiters attention. Drinks came and then we ordered the croquettes which only had 3 in an order so we asked our waiter if he could throw a 4th in for our party of 4 to which he arrogantly answered "NO". So cheap, so tacky, and not a way to gain business when they literally cost pennies to make. After starving and waiting 45-60 min more to place our pizza order we finally flagged 1 out of the 2-3 waiters in the place over to our table. Pizza itself didn't take long to arrive and it was superb. Just so disappointing to see a place with great food visibly failing due to such poor service and being under staffed. Mr Manger/owner was just chillin in the kitchen and entrance not seeming to pay any attention to his sinking ship. Then the bill took a YEAR as the system crashed. No apologies at all from our waiter. From reservation time to the time we drove away was almost 3 hours. Brutal experience and although the pizza was great I won't be going back until they figure out how to run a business and treat customers like customers!! Greenville Ave is a demanding market with lots of competition that does a much better job. Hurry up and get it together Pizzeria Testa before your doors close like so many others have! read more
