Really recommend this place, especially if you're new to the area or live in the area. The ambience here is great and the food here is as authentic as it gets for pizza and pastas. It's also not on the pricey side, which is truly rare for a place that serves quality dishes like they do. A slice of pizza here for example is $4 and the slice is bigger than what you'd get at most places. I've literally been places that will serve a slice for $5-$6 and the slice will be smaller and not as flavorful as this place. The service has always been good here too and will give you a true Italian feel all around. Almost like you're in the Sopranos. Overall, definitely don't pass up on this place if you're trying to decide if it's worth a trip or not.

This is just a hole in the wall place but did not expect the food to be really good. This place is highly recommended. Their big slice of 1 cheese pizza was good enough for our 2 year old's appetite. He loved it so much. Their calzone is one of the best and my hubby can't stop praising it. Not greasy, so yummy and crust is perfectly toasted. Crunchy and good. The best for me is their grilled salmon over linguini. It's to die for. Salmon is perfectly grilled, it needs a little salt but you can taste the lemon and the spice on it. The lemon brown sauce is the best I ever tasted. Now I have an alternative for my puttanesca which is hard to find a good one in Dallas. I would highly recommend the grilled salmon. Too bad we didn't see the calamari until late so we didn't get to taste it but I'll surely be back for more. We need to get more of their other pizza choices. Love this place!

Went one night with my man and we got 2 slices of cheese pizza and Buffalo Wings. We dined in and the service was alright, seemed like everyone was miserable. The pizza was okay, nothing special about it. My man said he liked the wings because they were made to his liking by request - extra crispy.

Stopped by this place on a whim. I was very impressed by the pepperoni pizza at this establishment. The staff was also very friendly. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

We started with the focaccia bread (5/5). Wow--this might be some of the best bread I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the dip was delicious. I usually try not to fill up on bread before the entrées arrive, but we made sure to finish every bite. We also ordered the burrata salad (5/5), which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. For our entrées, my friend and I shared the chicken piccata and the bolognese. The chicken piccata was a 5/5 for me, while the bolognese was a 4.5/5. Both dishes were excellent and I'd happily order either again. This visit was a completely different experience from my first one, and I'm glad I came back. I'd love to return with my husband sometime.

Food: -House made focaccia; this focaccia deserves all the awards you can get for bread because it is so appetizing and savory. The seasoning paired with the whipped ricotta and roasted garlic are everything you could want and more and I had to hold back from ordering more before the main dish arrived -Spicy gemelli; I was looking forward to this dish since it's a highly popular item on their menu but ultimately I was a bit disappointed because the pasta was cooked too al dente for me so it was on the firmer side. As for seasoning, I consider this to be one of the most important details/components of pasta and for me it was lacking in this dish. There was not enough salt and I had to add chili flakes to give it some more flavor, I've honestly had better spicy vodka pastas elsewhere. This may be a dish that is overhyped in my opinion. -Italian Sundae; the dessert was actually quite exceptional here, featuring a sundae with homemade Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, extra virgin olive oil, chopped pistachios, fresh whipped cream, and sea salt, I highly recommend ordering this if you have a sweet tooth but like a bit of savory in your dessert Ambiance: -A sleek and elegant design to their interior with intimate booths, full service bar, and patio dining Service: -The service definitely could've been better. We were waiting to give our order for quite a while when we sat down and then the waiter hardly came by to check in and see if we needed anything. Overall, some good options if you order certain things, but others were a miss.

He was knowledgeable about the menu and had tons of recommendations for us! We ended up getting the bolognese and lasagna. Both dishes were hearty, delicious, and had plenty for leftovers later. The whipped ricotta is an absolute must order and I'll definitely be getting that again. The calamari was good, but pretty standard fried calamari, although I loved the addition of the chilis. The portions are absolutely massive, so it's very easy to share dishes. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and they were an absolute delight. The meatballs were juicy, seasoned perfectly, and had a great texture. You can tell they're freshly made and use quality meat. Others at my table got the Chicken Parm Vodka and Tortellini Vodka, and both were rich, creamy, and delicious. The Chicken Parm portion was especially huge. The food here is a 10/10 and I'll be telling everyone to come here for some great Italian food. The restaurant itself is charming. The booths are huge and I loved all the photos and paintings on the walls. The Kingdom of Italy flag caught my eye too. Once the sun went down, the atmosphere really started to come alive. There are a few things I think Barsotti's could improve on. The bussers seemed a little underdressed for this type of restaurant, and some of their shirts were stained. We were also celebrating a birthday and specifically mentioned it in the reservation, so I was hoping for some acknowledgment. Our waiter was very nice and respectful, but I would have liked a little more interaction and explanation of the menu. Overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. I'll be coming back and would recommend Barsotti's to others.
