Life has been so busy lately and I am remiss in not posting this earlier. We LOVE Adelmo's Ristorante! It's always an event for us like a birthday or anniversary. This year it was our anniversary earlier in June. Even though it's been a few weeks (of travel - look for my other reviews from around the country and Europe), the evening at Aldemo's was memorable for all the right The restaurant was quiet since there was an NBA playoff game on, but that just allowed us to have extra attention and service. The service, as always, was impeccable. The vibe is always classy, and I always feel special dining at Adelmo's. Dinner was exquisite. Flavorful and filling without feeling stuffed. Bread is de rigueur. I don't eat it, but my husband enjoyed it immensely. Same with his meatball appetizer which was a special. I stayed gluten free and the staff took extra care to make sure I was safe from shell fish and soy. They were so mindful about the gluten that when I started to take a bite of something off my husband's plate, they cautioned me that I did not have that on my plate because of my dietary restrictions. My husband enjoyed the sea bass special and I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. As I said, my sides were different than the menu but just as, if not more, delicious. I indulged in chocolate mousse for dessert, and Adelmo's always offers their bread pudding for special occasions.

I had such high hopes for this place! That is why it is a 3 star review. I was expecting deep and rich flavors however I realized that the food is not that seasoned and the sauces were the best things on our plates. I know it seems harsh but it wasn't terrible, the fried Calamari was delicious and the marinara to dip it in was great! The wine selections was good and the service was great but I just couldn't get passed the unseasoned pasta and meat. Again the staff was so nice and I'm not bashing the place but I have to call it like it is. Just be prepared or if you like less seasoned food then this is the place for you.

3.5 stars. Came here for a special occasion. The area is nice, and there's plentiful parking. We had reservations and were seated immediately with a good amount of social distancing between tables. The food was just ok. Nothing to rave about. We were given complimentary bread and pickled vegetables. The table started off with the calamari fritti and stuffed mushrooms. Both dishes were not memorable but not bad. I did like the sauces for the calamari. After this, our entrees took over an hour to come out. I tried to be understanding bc we're in a pandemic, but at 50% occupancy I was a bit confused. I had the Lobster ravioli with scallops & shrimp in saffron cream. You get 3 large ravioli which are fully stuffed. However, there wasn't much flavor both inside and in the sauce. I couldn't taste any saffron.. just cream and Parmesan. I love Italian food but the food here just didn't excite me. Sadly won't be back.

It was our first time dining here and we chose Christmas Eve. We love authentic Italian food made by Italians. The owner was so friendly. John, our server, was outstanding. My husband had the osso buco and I had one of the specials- seafood pasta. Both dishes were delicious. We also had the bread pudding and tiramisu. I preferred the tiramisu as authentic. The entrees took a while to come out so make sure you're not arriving famished.

Stopped by Adelmo's for a work dinner a few months ago and the food and service were both pretty solid! We ordered drinks and apps for the table first; the escargot was rather salty and I wish the toasted bread that it came with hadn't been burnt in places, but the flavor wasn't bad. The calamari was solid, as was the garlic shrimp. I enjoyed that each entree came with a bit of salad so that we could say we ate our vegetables! I ordered the shrimp and lobster ravioli which was generously portioned; the flavor was excellent and the ravioli were truly stuffed to the brim. I was so full from the appetizers that I ended up packing half of it to-go, and they were still delicious as leftovers the next day! The ambience of the place was very upscale and our waiters were pretty prompt about refilling water and checking back to see if we needed anything. I don't know that I would return again because it's pretty pricey, but as far as work dinners go I can't complain!

I grew up in Dallas and not sure how I never knew about this place until now. By far one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. I appreciate a small and more intimate type of restaurant and Adelmo's is just that. The staff and service are impeccable. And the food! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and the seafood cooked perfectly. Adelmo's will now be our favorite go to. *Photo Credit: @the__foodbaby

My first impression, and then my second impression, of this place was NOT good. My wife and I were driving in from out of town and had made reservations for 8:00pm and we had gotten stuck in traffic and were running late. So I called, 20 minutes before my reservation as asked to change my reservation to 8:30pm - if possible. And explained that if it wasn't possible that I understood. The lady that had answered the phone was audibly annoyed by this. However, she changed it to 8:30, so my wife and I continued to the restaurant. As we walked-in there was a short, older gentleman that was manning the hostess station. I believe later he was the person that was pointed out as the owner of the restaurant. He "greeted" us, with a scowl, and grumbled something about a reservation. I said we did have a reservation, then I stumbled as I tried to remember the exact time, since It had been changed, and he just got annoyed and cocked his head and literally waved his hand at me to seemingly "hurry up" and just give him my name. Apparently customers annoy him! However, after we were seated, things took a turn for the better. Our Server was Christopher C. and Christopher is a pro at serving. He knew his menu, he knew his wines. He knew his audience. Throughout the meal we took Christopher's suggestions on the appetizers, the main courses, the wine and the dessert. Everything was SPOT-ON. It was impressive. If you want a very tasty, authentic Italian meal, that is reasonably priced, from a place that has good Servers, then this is the place to go.

First, you walk in and you're introduced to a small, charming, and warm space that looks straight out of a children's fairytale. Don't forget to grab a little surprise card (child friendly and adult friendly) either before you sit down or on your way out. Cute conversation starters and reflection inspiration! My objective of the night was dessert, so I didn't even bother to look at the savory souffles. While waiting for our server, my eyes were captivated by the twinkling lights around me (in the indoor space) and the sight and sounds of the chefs whisking away the souffles before they went in the oven. I was expecting Ratatouille's Remy to pop out. Anyway, as we gazed through the dessert menu, we thought we were enlightened already, but it only got better -- the specials: Strawberry and Pistachio. I'm regretting only getting the Pistachio because it was just so dang good. Will definitely be back. Austin is missing out. I started with the marshmallow soup, which is really a puffy goat cheese ball on top of carrot tomato soup, can't recommend this enough. My main entrée was the southwest chicken soufflé, and it was the only part of my meal. I was so so about. I would not order it again. But I did eat most of it. The chocolate soufflé was fantastic, I loved every bit of it and pouring the chocolate on top was so satisfying. Verdict: I would go again!

Two Stars. Both from the Truffle Fries…read more This place really broke my heart. I love this area and the beautiful Crescent complex. Word of mouth and Yelp have sang praises so we finally made it happen. The lead up is insane. Park under the building, take an elevator up, walk through the beautiful alcove and there it is - Sixty Vines. Swanky, dark, and sultry - a bit much for my taste, but I get the idea. Our waiter was nice, but could not get wine to our table. Like - acted as if there was some Harry Potter issue going on, just could not get wine to our table. And I know that's a lot to ask, but also shouldn't be, considering it's a wine bar. The place was dead - 5 PM on a Monday and he even prefaced by saying as much, and suggesting we try a few, but every time we'd order a glass, or heaven-forbid a flight, he'd disappear for literally a half hour. I get that people get busy, but wine at a wine bar just feels easy. We had the zucchini and the truffle fries - they genuinely banged. Zucchini could've used a little more love and care, but the fries were crazy. I could've eaten them all night. Had a few great wines too, but again, crazy how long it took to get to my table - and I could see the taps! No one was busy. Real Bummer. I told him several times to bring some red before my main so I could enjoy something dark with the red sauce, and low-and-be-freaking-hold, I finished my BRAISED PORK with a Sauvignon Blanc. Did I do something to offend? Was I being punished? IDK. The Braised Pork Pappardelle and the shrimp-garlic pasta thing was fine. The shrimp one being really garlicky - probably a bit too much. For some fu**a** reason, they both came to our table on the colder side, again, why? We literally had plans to go through a few reds and bubbles, but after two hours of this, we said "let's leave". So we paid and bounced. It's a fine place, I guess, it just really flopped for us. James T. put it nicely, "So middle of the road, absolutely and unmistakably average." Just hurts after months of this place being talked up, getting a baby sitter, driving an hour, and dropping $150 for this place to miss the mark. If service was better this could've been a 3-4 star review. Really makes a difference. I'll be at Hudson House & Barcelona Wine Bar if you need me. MGMT: Figure the service out - please. I'd be happy to try again, but I need to know my food will be hot and the wine will flow - again, it is a wine bar after all.
