Food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my dish. It was my first time here and also my first time trying Molcajete Fundido. I am a CHEESE lover so I was so excited to see and try this. It did not disappoint at all. Had plenty of cheese, meats and green onion. I wasn't too keen on the sausage/chorizo they had in the dish but i really enjoyed the skirt steak and the cheese which had some crazy pull to it. It came in a stone like bowl that kept the food hot and sizzling. You receive chips and salsa while you wait. The salsa is mild, not spicy at all. We did have to wait quite some time to be seated, it took about 30 minutes. And we did find ourselves waiting for refills and flagging down different waiters and waitresses to tend to us. I come here from time to time, since it's not close to my home. But I make it a point to come here on lent time, because I n ow for a fact. Came here for lunch and tried the queso birria tacos and they were amazing. The consume was OK. The service was outstanding. It was a very nice vibe in the well decorated Mexican restaurant. It's cool that they also offer free chips and salsa when you get seated. I'll be back. read more

Don't ever go here! I order in the phone Two burritos and two drinks with a side of beans. When I arrived to pick it up they got my order wrong. Didn't want to give me my money back or the food item I had ordered originally. A older lady by the name Vanessa was very rude and denied me service. I dream about this restaurant from time to time. This location is way nicer than their other restaurant in Ontario. What makes this restaurant so memorable is their enchilada verde, rojo, y crema. I always order that dish with their homemade spicy salsa. I skip all the hot sauces that are available on the table. The rice is fluffy, the beans are rich with a slight taste of manteca. The 3 difference enchiladas are meat free, but the are full of flavor. The enchilada sauce doesn't taste canned and everything looks freshly prepared. My daughter was craving for Enchiladas so I recommended this place. This is the first time we actually dined in. The dining place is nice and clean. Majority of the time I order to go. While we waited for our order, we got the complementary warmed salted chips with spicy salsa. We decided to order from the lunch menu. My daughter ordered Cheese and Sour cream Enchiladas. I ordered Carne Asada Taco and Cheese enchilada. We loved the flavor of the taco and enchiladas. The portion size is perfect. The waiter who took our order was sweet and gave a fantastic service. We have been eating here for years. The food and service have always been good. The reason for this review is to share that they are now charging for chips and salsa. If you ask for an additional salsa for your food they are now charging an additional fee. I am sorry but I have never heard of this in any restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants that do not charge for their salsa and they just as good of food. We will be eating elsewhere until they remove the charge. I understand cost increases but there are better ways to handle them. The service tonight was off a lot as well. The waitresses could not seem to get anything we ordered right. Hopefully they will take time to do some additional training and review their new charge policy. read more

The ambience is great, the service is blah! And the food quality is sickening. I've been to this restaurant several times and I've noticed the food quality worsening while the prices are going up. For instance I ordered shrimp and fish tacos; the shrimp taco was dry and crusty along with a fish tacos. And to add insult to injury, they charged extra for additional nasty tasting salsa and chips. It's a pretty big restaurant and can accommodate large parties but I wouldn't consider going back if I'm in the mood for good Mexican food. The tortilla chips and salsa were pretty mediocre. Salsa was bland and watery. The menu selection is pretty diverse and they have a pretty extensive selection of seafood options, if you're in the mood for seafood. I started off with a Michelada and with that alone I wasn't impressed. It was pretty much an iced down beer with a little bit of Clamato sauce. I didn't even bother to order a second one. The food was ok. The rice was bland, no flavor and the enchiladas were not that great. The service was decent. It was late in the night already as they were going to close so maybe that's why the food and drinks weren't great but I doubt I'd give it another try. read more

Woah! What's changed here??? The last several visits the service has significantly improved. It has gone from taking a long time to flagging someone down to now getting checked on constantly. The food (which was already good) has also improved. I usually order the carne asada taco and the chile relleno off of their lunch special menu, which is a fantastic deal. I visited on a Sunday morning and it was nice and lively but we did not have to wait to be seated. I ordered the ham and eggs and that came with flour tortillas. I enjoyed my meal very much. The eggs were fully cooked and the ham was nice and thick. My husband got an enchilada and tacos and they both didn't sit right with him. It always saddens me to not place a top notch review but I'm only writing this review in hopes that it was a fluke. I am always on a hunt to try new places, especially tacos. This place apparently has been here for at least 20 years. It being Tuesday, tacos seemed appropriate. Order asada, birria and chicken. The flavor was not what I was expecting. It lacked the "authentic" taste. It hard to distinguish the flavors from the three meat choices. I definitely would try it again as it could have been a bad Tuesday. Wasn't attentive, I had to flag her down a few times but did a decent job. Lengua Taco: taste good with nice flavor. Caldo Siete Mares: a definite must try. Had good flavor but felt like it could use a more variety of meat and was missing something. Haven't figured it out. Shrimp Enchiladas: good plate to grab if you're an enchilada fan. Found my new place to eat great Mexican food in Chino. I ordered, tostadas de camaron, carne asada sope and taquitos with sides of rice and beans. Taquitos, tasted fresh and plenty of fresh guacamole! I dont care to much for orange rice but theirs was yummy! The beans taste homemade! The tostadas were great with fresh shrimp. Now for the sope. Im new to eating sopes mainly because im 3rd generation Mexican, but this sope was BOMB DOT COM!!!! The corn (tortilla???) Was sooo tender and the meat was perfectly seasoned! Each order comes with chips and salsa. Everyone said the salsa isn't spicy, but im a sissy when it comes to spicy stuff, but i ate it because it was so good!
