He then did my brakes which took maybe 30 minutes. Only 180.00 for both. I was so happy..I brought my brother to get hus brakes done too. I found Ed to be honest and he absolutely did everything he promised. He even went as far as telling KY brother things he did jit need done right now instead of just doing it. If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!

It's very unassuming at first, located off a busy highway with not much else, but isn't that how most hidden gems are? They always have amazing oil change deals running, (it's what first brought me in) so it's always worth it to call and check. I brought my car in again this week as they had another great special for an oil change. Which is a godsend in this economy and if you're already drowning in bills. The service was quick, easy, and everyone was friendly. I had initially mentioned another small issue with my car that I think was overlooked maybe due to some miscommunication. Even though they were clearly busy and finished with my main service, they were so nice and took the time to pull my car back in and make sure everything was good and even fixed the issue on the spot. They treated me like a friend or family member, I was so surprised and grateful. These are just honest people doing good work and treating their customers well. What business even does that anymore! I drove all the way out to their dealership and after the work I ended up paying $550 all cash except for the last 50 that they added on last minute. They refused to give me a receipt for the work done and that include included the warranty on my brand new battery. I'm not sure what is happening, if they are skimming money from the owner, but I don't like working with shady companies that refused to give you a receipt for the money you paid them.

They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

Now that he may have been dishonest with both of us, I wish I'd gotten his name. I made it clear when he and I spoke that the car in question was not electric. Sir, I had no reason to stretch the truth about what I was told or who I spoke to. You guys were really good to me before, as evidenced by my previous 5 star review. This doesn't matter, but this SMART car belonged to my best friend's mother who literally died the day before. My friend was in town from across the country and I was just taking care of this car so that she would have one less shitty thing to deal with. Don't you think I would have preferred to tow it to a reasonably priced local shop that I already had great experiences with versus having it towed to the outrageously priced Mercedes dealership so they could dry fuck my bestie with the dead mother, who was here from 2000 miles away with no other help or family? Please. You could have, and should still, skip the reply and just update your website to reflect the work that you actually do, which I guess is SMART cars, but not electric ones.
