He then did my brakes which took maybe 30 minutes. Only 180.00 for both. I was so happy..I brought my brother to get hus brakes done too. I found Ed to be honest and he absolutely did everything he promised. He even went as far as telling KY brother things he did jit need done right now instead of just doing it. If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! It's very unassuming at first, located off a busy highway with not much else, but isn't that how most hidden gems are? They always have amazing oil change deals running, (it's what first brought me in) so it's always worth it to call and check. I brought my car in again this week as they had another great special for an oil change. Which is a godsend in this economy and if you're already drowning in bills. The service was quick, easy, and everyone was friendly. I had initially mentioned another small issue with my car that I think was overlooked maybe due to some miscommunication. Even though they were clearly busy and finished with my main service, they were so nice and took the time to pull my car back in and make sure everything was good and even fixed the issue on the spot. They treated me like a friend or family member, I was so surprised and grateful. These are just honest people doing good work and treating their customers well. What business even does that anymore! So this is officially my place for oil changes and car care and who I'll be sending my friends and family to. Highly highly recommend checking out these great folks.

I drove all the way out to their dealership and after the work I ended up paying $550 all cash except for the last 50 that they added on last minute. They refused to give me a receipt for the work done and that include included the warranty on my brand new battery. I'm not sure what is happening, if they are skimming money from the owner, but I don't like working with shady companies that refused to give you a receipt for the money you paid them.

They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

I'm not a big braker and come to find out, my dad had already purchased a brand new set of pads that were in the back. Next issue is when I did look at my new tires rating, H! Not what I was told. I called and asked for Ronnie but he was on an errand. Things like this are why women have issues w mechanics. I don't like being told to buy things I don't need and I don't like bait and switch on what someone tells me. Grateful for the mechanic friends I do have that told me that for this vehicle, H was ok - but this wasn't what I was told on the phone and I'm never a fan of that. I get free service on the tires here so good or bad, I'll be back, but I won't be doing any additional services.

I took in my car a year ago to Chads, and was very impressed. I had several repairs needing taking care of. He went above and beyond. Couldn't believe my luck. Just took my car in again this week and again can't believe my luck. He's just the best. I had a laundry list for him ,again. He took care of all of them and a few others. He checked my brakes and filled my tires! Wasn't on list. He even put a new cap on windshield water bottle! Also not on my list. If your thinking he was padding bill. Nope. He's just that kind of mechanic. I'm 59 and he knows I need a little extra help. I guess. I highly recommend him. Twice now I was shocked how low bill was. I've taken my car in to other shops who do way less and charge more. Plus make it inconvenient. Both times he's ready at appointment time and calls you back surprisingly quickly to say he's done. Last year, he even took my spare into get repaired for me, wound up switching tires around and my car drove so much better and I had a great spare. He charged me $90. What? That was on top of transmission fluid flush and bunch of other things. Couldn't believe it All the repairs he did for me last year are still good. Not one issue! Thanks Chad. I can't recommend Chad highly enough. I have never met a mechanic that CARES like he does. He cared that I was making the right choices on repairs for a car I was thinking of selling. He talked me through all my options, explained to me what he was sure of and what would require more investigation and why. I knew I was getting the truth. He spent way more time with me than I paid for. The work I had him do was done when he said it would be and it was even a little less money than quoted. He took photos of my car torn apart to show me and spent time with me when I picked it up. He really wanted me to understand my car! I felt like I had gone back in time. I decided to have Chad look at my car since my mother had great things to say about him, and I must say that I am so glad that I did. Chad was honest and straightforward. He was able to show me what was wrong with my car, and to me he didn't steer me wrong. Chad is an honest person that is not out to get people for their money. chad, quickly diagnose the problem with my 01 Mustang, and was able to repair right then. While he work on my car he explained what he was doing and why it needed to be done in terms I could understand. It was like I had my own personal mechanic to work on my car. He even followed up with me a couple days later to make sure everything was "OK". "Quality service you can TRUST!" We left it overnight, went back to pick it up he was nowhere in sight. Although he knew that she was coming to pick her car up. No phone no text no email. Finally I texted him that I needed some work on my car and I was in the area and he picked up the phone. Now mind you he hadn't picked up the phone for my niece for the last at least hour. I handed her the phone his explanation was, that his phone had been broken he told me the screen was broken and he couldn't see who called was calling. When he finally arrived at the shop, I asked him what the problem was he said his phone had broken he showed me a phone that was off, but there was no broken screen. I asked him was he done as he had been supposedly working on the car since the day before. Usually replacing in power steering pump is a one to two hour job for a good mechanic he said he was bleeding the system I saw no hoses or anything anywhere the problem came when I requested the old part which we never got. Also we had to come back for the car which was supposedly bleeding. The next day while driving the vehicle it start to smoke and they were flames. We found out later the distributor was loose. Apparently someone had bumped the distributor and the carburetor, and that was leakage from the gas or other fluid flammable no less. I'll be very Leary of taking my vehicle to such a dismissive repair shop and I use the term loosely. The customer service is nonexistent. And after I asked about the part that he supposedly removed I was told GET THE F OUT REPEATEDLY. Needless to say there was a verbal altercation that almost got really bad. This man has no respect for his customers their autos do not leave your car in this man's care. Do not trust what he says is wrong with your car. According to the automobile bureau, a customer has the right to receive the removed part. We are taking our vehicle to the automotive repair bureau in rancho Cordova, to be inspected for proper repair. To be forewarned is to be armed.

Derick even took the time on the phone to listen and discuss my ac situation unlike a couple other shops that just hurried me off the phone and tried to tell me to just bring my car in. The service was pretty quick and he reassured me that if I have any issues with it in the near future or it's not blowing as cold as I think it should be, to bring it back and they'll take care of it no questions asked. I chose this shop because I valued their quick response and honesty. My initial impression of Jesse…read morewas positive. He seemed trustworthy and eager to get my truck fixed correctly. Unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating. I spent over $2,500 on a rack and pinion replacement, oil pan repair, and rear shocks, yet the second rack and pinion is also leaking. The original part has been discontinued by the dealer, so only remanufactured units are available, which can be hit or miss. I appreciated the effort to get it done correctly, but when I mentioned the continued leak to Jesse, his response was that it was better than the first one. The alignment is off, and the lever to adjust my steering column was broken during service. If you use this shop, I would recommend doing your own alignment to avoid damage. The original oil pan repair addressed some seepage, but not the main leak, and now I am being quoted an additional $1,200 to fix the upper oil pan gasket. I feel this should have been properly diagnosed before charging so much. Jesse said the work would take 2 to 3 days, so I dropped off the truck on Wednesday with the expectation it would be ready Friday, but I did not pick it up until Sunday night. This caused a major inconvenience, and the truck is still not working correctly. He offered to fix the issues if I bring it back, but wants me to pay more for a leak that was already in progress. I received a quote from another shop that was $500 cheaper. Jesse mentioned he would reimburse me and reinstall my old oil pan, but I just want the truck repaired correctly so it does not leak and works properly. While the team worked hard and I appreciate their effort, the truck was not ready on the promised timeline, and the repairs have not fully resolved the issues. I rely on my truck for work and need it to function properly. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I found Amir when I needed an oil change and decided not to go to one of the drive-thru oil change places staffed by loud goofy boys who are pushy with their attempts to upsell and really don't know cars. Amir is very friendly, a good communicator, is an experienced Honda mechanic, and does a great job. Amir also noticed my transmission fluid was dirty so he flushed that as well. I have since referred my husband, daughter, and son-in-law to Amir and we have all been very happy with Amir's care for our vehicles. If saving money and having a mechanic who does quality work is important to you, Riverside Auto is your shop. If having a fancy shop that has a warm and inviting waiting room, look elsewhere. Of course, those shops have high overhead costs, so do the math.
