    Beignets
    Tabitha C.

My first time here! I was craving beignets and decided to give this place a try. The customer service and coffee were good, but the beignets weren't quite what I was expecting. They had more of a flaky biscuit texture and were loaded with powdered sugar, which wasn't to my taste. Not sure I'd return.

My order of beignets on 2/16/25
    Tricia M.

My husband went to pick up some beignets to go and when he got home...we're we ever so disappointed!! These beignets had been fried in very old grease you could tell. I called the store and spoke with Layla who told me "I'm in charge." when I asked for a manager. So I told her the problem with our order - the color & taste of the beignets - and how it was the oil that old, I suspected. I asked how often the oil was switched out and she replies with "Twice a week." I said "Well there you go. This oil needs to be replaced." She then tells me to bring my beignets back at this time and she will remake them or refund my order. I tried to explain this was not going to happen today and I would call during the week to speak to the manager. Layla was less than pleasant and less than polite on the phone.

    Caramel Frappe

The caramel frappe I got was pretty good! Not the best I've ever had, but still delicious! My hubs got a frozen mocha and I actually liked that better. Prices were good - typical coffee shop prices. The service was typical counter service. The employee was nice and patient while I decided. It probably helped that we were one of the only people in there. No line! It was a comfortable place to work for a couple hours. They had good WiFi and even had a printer if you needed it! I thought that was pretty cool. I saw they host open mic nights, which I want to go back for!

Sausage, egg and cheese bagel & Granita.

The food, service and atmosphere were amazing! Highly recommend. I got the Sausage, egg and cheese bagel...best coffee shop food I've ever eaten. The Granita was a sharp but smooth boost of energy. I'll definitely be back!

Although I'm not a huge coffee person, I always get very excited when I try new places and PJ'S coffee was a hit!! I ordered the vanilla velvet ice with sugar free vanilla and my fiancé got the granita, which is frozen cold brew! We both enjoyed our drinks and we will be back again in the future! Oh, and I'd like to add if you love lemon bars, you need to try one from here!

I had such a great experience. It's such a beautiful environment in there. It's a very cute little coffee café very chill. Very quiet. The ambience is very beautiful. They have dog treats, so make sure you ask for one. The coffee was absolutely amazing. The owner was there. He was so polite and willing to talk to me about leaving some flyers for my apartment all in all great experience. I'll definitely be back to try some of the bakery goods.

Being from Louisiana, I was craving a king cake. I remembered the owners of this coffee shop are from New Orleans. I've actually tried this place before. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I ordered the king cake shaken espresso and my boyfriend got the chai tea latte. Both were delicious drinks. Of course, we had to get a couple slices of king cake. They were so soft and sweet and tasty. We'll have to come back and get more before the season is over.

Chocolate chip cookie & Velvet Cream with caramel

First experience and it was wonderful! The staff was super friendly and welcoming - her first question was whether or not we had been here before. When we told her no, she asked if we had time for a sample / were interested in a sample. She gave us a small cup of their Granita (frozen cold brew) which was pretty, but HIGHLY caffeinated. If you aren't looking for a pick-me-up, be wary of that option. It's not very sweet, but she explained that they can add flavors and sweet syrup to make it a little sweeter. We ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie - it looks burnt, but it was actually really soft! We also got a velvet cream with caramel since it's 3pm and we don't need caffeine this late. We were thoroughly impressed with the drink and cookie. We'll definitely be back if we're in this area again and needing a coffee fix.

Saw this new place in town and have been waiting patiently until it opened. Today, it finally did and it was well worth the wait. Seems PJs is original to New Orleans and, as such, also sells beignets. These can be ordered individually, a batch of three, six or more. Although, not as good as New Orleans ones, they were pretty tasty. The coffee was quite good and they did have some interesting looking favors, which we pledged to try next time we visit. The place is new, airy and welcoming. The staff friendly and setting perfect for a new coffee spot. Truly a pleasant place to hang and enjoy a cuppa.

Really enjoyed doing work here as overall it was quiet and empty, peaceful. clean restrooms. Lots of outlets on the wall and fast wifi. Also liked the sofa area with the large window for natural lighting g. the barista brought my coffee to where i was working which was nice of them. Ordered a small mocha velvet ice which was really smooth and creamy but had a few ice chunks. On the sweeter side but overall enjoyable.

There are plenty of tables to work or study at, including some shaded seating outside. I originally ordered the Saltburn Matcha, but it was a little too sweet for my liking. I asked if they could remake it into just an agave matcha with oat milk, and they did without hesitation. Everyone was super sweet and accommodating about it. My boyfriend ordered the Butterbeer Shaken Espresso and it was sooo good! Overall, the service was a 10/10, even with my drink remake. I'd definitely come back here again to study or just hang out for a bit!

Despite me SHOWING them where the egg was NOT FULLY COOKED THROUGH. I cook eggs for myself everyday. And being pregnant the egg must fully be cooked through. They were telling me it's bc of the cheese melted on top. Which has nothing to do with the egg. You could see the clear distinction between the cheese and egg. I wish I had taken a photo to share. They would not take it back to be remade. So I just said forget it and we ate them anyway. Since I'm in my third trimester I figured I should be fine. However a great manager would have made sure they were remade. I use to work in the restaurant biz and the customer is always right. And I was showing them their error and they were working to convince me it was cooked all the way, again when you could clearly see it wasn't. Also my hubs strawberry lemonade was not even filled up all the way in the cup. I would expect if we are paying for something that doesn't have a refill, at least fill it up all the way. Oh and my BIGGEST disappointment is that there is NO BURRITO!! We actually came here for that specifically, only to find out that it has not been on the menu for over a year, yet that is the one review and promotion that pops up when you look at this establishment. So it's false advertising and should be taken down since they no longer make the burrito. Also if you're coming here to work, it's super small and cramped. I did see a ton of people sitting with laptops and having meetings. However I wouldn't come to this place to work, unless it's the only option in your area. Overall, next time I'm in town, we won't coming back here, primarily bc it's close to the Eilan hotel we stayed at and we definitely won't be staying there again. Already wrote my review about that place, and I don't recommend it.

Picked up a guava pastry for later. Ordered the Mexican Cubano torta without cheese and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I chose the birote bread- sourdough crispness on the outside with soft inside texture. This torta packed a ton o' flavor! Ham, bacon, kielbasa sausage, pickles, and bread slathered in their chipotle mustard and cilantro mayo. Delicious! I chose the house salad, rather than soup. Tummy was more than happy. For dessert, I ate the guava pastry in the evening- buttery pastry with a sweet guava jelly filling. Yum! It is a little on the pricey side, but the lattes and bakery items are really good. They used to have a sugared donut that was my absolute favorite, but unfortunately they no longer carry it. The tortas aren't your typical Mexican torta, but they're still good in their own way. That said, I don't really come here for the main food--I come for the bakery and the café vibe. The salads are also solid if you're looking for something lighter. Service is ok. There's this one guy who usually cleans the tables and he's so friendly. I didn't catch his name but he's on it. I'll Get his name next time im there.
