    Sausage Pizza
    Susan B.

We decided to give this place a try, had heard enough buzz about it to peak our curiosity. It's a clean, brightly lit place, ample seating and an arcade in the back. The person taking our order was polite and quick, informed us it would be about 30 minutes until our pizzas were ready and she was right. We ordered 2-16" pizzas, sausage and black olives. The crust is really good, just the right balance of chew and crispness. There definitely could have been more sauce on both pizzas. The sausage pizza was a bit greasy, but good. Sausage itself was good, but a little sparse. Black olive pizza was good, less greasy. Pizza is obviously a saltier food in general, but these seemed a bit saltier than most. There is room for improvement, in my opinion. But don't rule them out, definitely give them a try.

1/2 Large Italian Submarine Sammich with and order of fries

Will be back to have another sub here. Cold Italian was my first try, and it has me piqued in what other tasty food I can devour. This is some quality sammich materials being used here. Bread is perfectly soft, yet bitable. The salami and bologna were fatty and salty. All the fixings (I recommend) bring this up to be an above average experience at a wonderful price. Literally, the large is a 16 inch sub for like $11!? Fantastic. Looking forward to coming back for something else.

    Large cheese pizza

Hands down best pizza in the Madison area. Got a classic cheese pie, definitely authentic New York style. Sauce was fresh, from scratch and delicious. Crust was light, had the perfect chew and some nice crunchy spots. Cheese melty, bubbly, and not greasy. Accidentally inhaled 4 slices on the way home . In addition, it felt like a nice and chill neighborhood spot. Plus, it has a dope arcade! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for that NY style.

Give them a little time. That was the general sentiment from the 14/16 year old employees that were working tonight. They were sweet and knowledgeable but unprepared for a steady stream of customers on a Friday night. No fountain machine. You can purchase bottled sodas for $2.50 each. They don't have an alcohol license yet so no beer and no BYOB. No water dispenser, the staff (half) filled plastic cups from a bartender's sink. You can't bring drinks in the arcade area, which felt like it was 90 degrees in a tightly packed nook past the dining area. We ordered the grilled chicken salad, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, a large fajita pizza. The salad arrived as torn pieces of iceberg lettuce, shaved carrots, onions, tomatoes and blackened chicken chunks in a plastic takeaway box. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings were unremarkable with the latter served without a dipping sauce, likely from the folks at SYSCO. The pizza was the star here with generous toppings sprinkled throughout the large pie, but the middle portion appeared undercooked and mushy. The arcade is on the pricier side with most of the games costing a dollar to play. It is my understanding they have only been open for 2 months so maybe give them some time to work out the kinks and we will return.

Tastes like the east coast to us, so if that's what you are looking for then this is a place to try.

Best sub in town. Been here twice and can't recommend enough. Loved the turkey with everything and extra oil and vinegar.

I also love that they allow you to put two different bases in your bowl - two servings of rice in the bowl is way too much and I love getting to add in some greens instead. I don't think I ever would have thought to combine a salad and rice bowl. It's perfection. They have delicious protein options, fresh veggies, and somehow this healthy concoction I build is absolutely delicious. I started with the power bowl, and now I do a make-your-own grain bowl that is basically a modified power bowl. My go-to creation is mixed greens, black rice, lentils, broccoli, carrot, goat cheese, and a protein (usually chicken) topped with the green goddess. Absolute yum. This is my go-to takeout spot. I try to order ahead because it takes forever to order in the store. I rarely eat in, but the few times I have there are plenty of tables, the place is light and clean. The bathrooms are shared with the whole building and I'm not sure if anyone tends to them, but hey it works. It's just so nice to have a healthy option and while it's not cheap, their pricing is reasonable for what you get. So long as it stays affordable, I'm hooked!

Horseradish was bustling at 12:30pm on a Saturday, but wasn't too overly packed when we came in. We were able to find a table for 4 and get our orders in quickly. That being said, it took over an hour of listening to terribly overstimulating music with bad vibes to actually get our food. Our kids were hangry, as were the children at a few other tables as well. I ordered the Vegan Witch (I LOVE kimchi) and my daughter ordered the Gus Special No. 1. We also all ordered various sodas/Olipops. The prices for the sodas were absurd, and the side salad that I ordered with my vegan witch was flavorless. I was kind of shocked at the kids' menu options and expected better ... my daughter of course ate it, as she's 4, and who doesn't love cheese on tortilla chips, but what an odd lunch option. I would have preferred more kid friendly veggie options for the side veggies, as radishes are a bit strange to plate for a child ... my sandwich was good, but just seemed to be lacking something. Staff were incredibly nice, but with how slow service was, I would not recommend going when you're actually hungry. I also don't recommend for kids. It was a fun experience and a nice find for in the middle of nowhere, but I guess I was just hoping for a bit more ... The bathrooms are nice, and my daughter and I loved the banana and lipstick lights on the bathroom walls that were also for sale. Cute place, slow service. I'll probably never be in Green Lake, Wisconsin again, so I can't say whether I'd return or not.

We were having a work "philly cheesesteak" dinner but needed a good spot to get takeout. We came to Crostini - ordering was super easy and our food was ready and waiting for us upon arrival. Staff was very friendly in our limited interaction. I don't love steak, so I got the philly chicken cheesesteak, and holy moly was this sandwich massive. I could barely even hold it together there was so much chicken going on there!! I ended up keeping all the chicken that naturally fell out of the sandwich as leftovers and put it over rice for a meal the next day. I loved that the sandwich had mushroom and peppers on it, having some veggie interaction made it feel healthy :) Especially considering I got a small french fry with it too (which was actually somewhat large). Ketchup was extra so I went without it and was perfectly happy eating my french fries without condiments. This place definitely still fills a void in the area and I highly recommend checking them out!

The online ordering system is a little clunky but they were able to handle our requests (no tomato). And the ability to see your order status was very nice. Our food was still hot (that should be) when we picked up. The actual restaurant is a little awkward when you get inside. There's a small alcove to the left where you place your order. And you have to ring the bell for service. Everyone was super nice and the place looked vibey from what I could see. Not a ton to say since I just picked up. The food was excellent. The sub sandwich comes rolled kind of like a wrap which I wasn't expecting but didn't impact the flavor of experience. The panini was huge and easily 2 meals. Fries were soooo good. Like stadium quality. And don't skip the nacho cheese if you like a classic cheese fry. Overall I'm sad we haven't tried them sooner!
