This is what I would call a classic neighborhood spot. Small enough to feel cozy, but big enough to enjoy a table with a few friends. I stopped in at lunch to pick up an order of wings for the work gang so didn't partake of the full experience, but the vibe was friendly and relaxed. Mindy, the bartender, was friendly and attentive. I have also found my new wing spot. They were absolutely amazing - they've got at least a dozen varieties. Highly recommend the spicy Thai peanut. This is our go to place for after work drinks and apps and we love it here. The fries are the best around - definitely order them extra crispy. The drinks are strong, good sized, and reasonable priced. Service is always great - we especially love Tiffany and Mindy! Atmosphere is laid back. In addition to the fries, the nachos are also amazing and are big enough for a group, the wings are awesome and there are sooo many sauces to choose from, and the burgers are great too. Pizzas are delicious and you can get as many toppings as you want without any additional charge. Check the signs on the wall for the monthly drink specials - they are always great. We were in the area school shopping and decided to give this place a try, what a huge mistake! We ordered 2 cheese pizzas, basket of wings and an order of fries! The fries had so much salt it made you gag, the wings were fried and the wings I think were freezer burnt when fried in old oil. The pizza was the worst, it's literally the same grilled dough you buy in the fridge at your local grocery store! The sauce on the pizza was DISGUSTING, like it was the burnt bottom of the pot of sauce and scraped then thrown on the store bought dough! Then the cheese was beyond to much when you took a bit the cheese and nasty sauce would come off in one piece! Spent $58 and I wish I went to BK or McDonald's! We have 1 and 1/2 pizza left and I wouldn't feed it to my dog! Honestly don't waste your money! We know their wings are great - and they lived up the the expectations tonight. Ordering take out went smoothly - pickup was quick and easy. They gave me blue cheese instead of ranch and I reallyyyy don't like whatever blue cheese it is they use - but that's hella minor. The surprise treat was the four stack grilled PB&J with fluff, picture included. It was monstrous! My 13yo who just last night ate an order and a half (maybe more) of fish and chips at Champlins could barely roll out of the chair when he finished his sandwich. He said it felt like he at more than last night. My wings were as always great - crispy and saucy and flavorful. I got the teriyaki and buffa - qqqq. Never have had a bad wing there though. It's was like I returned home to my loving family after backpacking the Swiss Alps for 5 months. The beer was ice cold. Curiously cold... Sunday 9/26/2021 - Sausage and Pepper. *Bad night at my local place* unfortunately, I could of stayed home and drank my own beer and saved a hell lot instead of going here almost everyday. I ordered my food and drink really quick. I asked for a Corona Premiere with a cup of ice for the beer and a water. Never got my cup of ice for my Corona and I don't think I ever got my Premier and just a regular Corona since it was a lot more heavy than light. I finally got a glass but from a different waitress. Food: I ordered a sausage and pepper grinder with mushrooms which is extra. I got my sandwich without mushrooms. Found out from a different waitress that she never put it on her check so the kitchen staff didn't prepare it that way. Sad. The waitress, Jenna, never came back to my table and I see here talking and chatting with three other waitress at the cashier station just chatting it up. It seems more of the other waitress were walking the tables and checking on everyone except her. Sorry if it seems that I am targeting but I am nearly just stating what I observe. The brunette light skin waitress was check on the tables and did a good job. Waitress Jenna was has made me not want to come everyday like have been doing. In conclusion: If you spend a lot of money, treat people right and apologize for the mistake. Don't avoid your tables. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had in a restaurant that (so far) did not involve food poisoning. We came in for dinner at 6:30pm accompanied by a 10 year-old and were seated. A few minutes later at our table, it was explained to us that their policy was 21-plus after 7:00pm, fully heard by the 10 year-old and internalized as "I'm not wanted here." I don't know why we stayed. I ordered a burger, and when it tasted funny to me I asked if the meat was 100% beef or had some sort of mixed seasoning, and was told it was seasoned. When I asked what ingredients were in the burger -- remember, I had already eaten some of it but stopped because it tasted strange -- they refused to tell me because it was a "secret recipe." Given the modern understanding of food allergies, especially in Rhode Island were a restaurant patron was literally killed by a "secret recipe" a few years ago, this should never happen. I sent the burger back and refused to eat any more; I still have no idea what was in the food I ate. When the check arrived, although they took my burger off the bill, the prices of all of them items were around $1 higher than stated on the menu. Did they think no one would notice? Finally, before we could leave the tiny and badly designed parking lot, someone had blocked us in and the staff had to find who the person was and get them to move their car so we could get out. read more

As far as bars in Rhode Island go, you could say that PJ's Pub is my watering hole. If I have a beer in my hand, that's probably where I'm drinking it. Not only is it a very convenient locations for Cranston area residents who don't want to trek too far for a cold one, the atmosphere is good, the food is great, and the drinks are cheap. The first time I ordered a draft beer there and was told it was under $4 I had to double check. I haven't had a beer that cheap in ages! As far as the food goes, it seriously puts other bar food to shame. They have a pretty extensive menu, from salads and sandwiches to many many varieties of chicken wings, there's something for everyone at PJ's. 25 cent wing night on Mondays is a good time to visit if you're a wing fanatic. The list of flavors is impressive. The Spicy Thai Peanut is a solid choice, and the Buffalo is classic, definitely doesn't disappoint. Service is also great. The servers will regularly take notice and ask if you want another drink. No waiting around for decades to keep the drinks coming. They are super friendly and efficient. I'll keep returning to PJ's again and again for this and many other reasons. If you haven't check it out yet, I hope you will stop in for a beer and wings next time you're in the 'hood. read more

This place is cool for 22 year old that wants to squeeze in and listen to loud music or your 40 and want to be 22. For a regular 30 plus person, you just feel out of place. Watching 40 year old dudes hit on 22 year old girls is pretty lame. As for the Pro's, they do mix a pretty good drink and our server was very nice. So, cooler place for younger people. This place was a freaking joke. Came here for the first time last night and there was 6 waiters at the bar and it still took me 15 minutes to get a beer. 5 waiters only caring about looking good, twirling their hairs, smiling, talking among themselves all while looking right at me. Passing me by. Finally, when I ask for the beer the waitress took my card, walked away, and then had the guy bartender give me my beer 7 minutes later. I mean what are you doing? One of the girl was on her phone most of the night. They had their own little click going on. PJ's is one of my favorite places to hangout and get some cheap food and drinks. I live in the area so it's an easy drive over for me. They always have a special drink deal of the month and a special food deal depending on the day. I love going for wing night on Monday because they're super cheap and have a ton of different flavors. My favorites are the buffalo honey, balsamic, and caesar salad. They also have awesome nachos (huge portion) and a great cheeseburger quesadilla (that's a special). It gets pretty busy here after work hours during the week and on weekend nights. It's usually loud inside, but I think it's a fun atmosphere for hanging out. They also have a small outdoor section for when the weather is warm. The service has always been fast and helpful. read more

We came here with a bunch of friends for my birthday. The place was packed. It's more of a townie bar in Cranston. You're guaranteed to see someone you went to high school with. The crowd was your typically Cranstonian type. When we walked in, we found a table to sit in. They had a jukebox and we put money to play our songs. The songs ranges from pop to rock classics. My husband is into the heavier rock music and decided to play that. We were getting dirty looks but we paid for it so call the wambulance. Lol. I was having a blast with my friends. They got me shots for my birthday. The night was dandy... However, I think the owner noticed that we were kind of loud. Well, this is a loud bar with music blaring. We were not the only ones talking and having a good time. Since the majority of our group consisted of Asians, I feel we were targeted. We got kicked out for being too "loud". We were paying customers and there were other "loud" patrons; we were the only group kicked out. There's plenty of fishes in the sea so to speak. I will gladly give my money to them instead. Overall, bad customer service and discriminatory. If you're a person of color, you might want to think twice about coming here. So one of my buddies refers to himself as the "Wing Master" so when he seemed excited to try PJ's out, I knew i was in safe hands. They have an incredibly friendly staff, a variety of wings and numerous themed events. On Mondays they have $0.35 wings and $8 pitchers of beer. My first visit we ordered two pitchers and 50 wings for just over $30. Yikes! At this point I'm a regular and my favorite wing flavors are spicy thai peanut, peanut butter & jelly, and Asian chili. With the exception of the lemon pepper which is a sharp rub, their wing sauces are subtle and can be enjoyed by anyone from the strictest critics to the casual wingers. I can't write much about this place besides its Monday Wing nights. I have only been about 2 times that weren't on a Monday for the 35 cent wings. The food is pretty good overall. Nothing really special IMO for a bar environment since it is really cramped. This is mainly about wings, because that's what most people come here for. Call ahead, even its for 2 people, and make a reservation because it gets packed every Monday! The wings are GREAT! Nothing more needed to say other than get in there and eat a bunch, Buffaque is my poison and get your favorite brews alongside them. ORDER WHAT YOU CAN EAT. Like most specials and Promos, wings that you order are for in house. Meaning if you plan on taking your leftovers home, it is frowned upon. I understand if someone orders 15 and eats 3 to take 12. If you order the hottest sauce on their wings, instead of cooking the wings in the sauce they give it to you on the side. It's not enough for all 10 wings, so when you ask for more sauce, they charge you. If you order club soda, they charge you (a lot of places count it as just water) and they even charge you for refills! Since when are there no free refills on soda? The music was terrible too. We reached on time and were given table inside with so many empty tables. Then why would I make reservation to get that 1 empty table of 5. People were so noisy. We requested couple of times. The waitress was reasonable and stated there were no tables currently and asked to wait. Then I saw 4-5 empty tables outside. After 30 minutes manager walks by asking to wait further longer. We were upset but appreciated his efforts. We were finally given a table to see there are actually 5-6 more empty tables outside for the next 1 hr. Upon arrival PJ's host only gave us the option to either sit uncomfortably on the side bar cramped with people or outside in their patio in 50 degree weather. I was a little confused because there were about 3 free tables. After being seated in the cramped area we asked if we can be reseated to an open 2 top and the host rudely responded no. Frustrated we decided to eat elsewhere but we were still over charged for a beer we didn't drink. I don't understand why our reservation was not prioritized while the others clearly were. REPLY: Katie, I don't appreciate you belittling our experience. Instead of trying to defend your company's ill service YOU should focus more on finding a solution. Where to start. The owner is rude and disrespectful. On wing night you can't take the reminder of your purchase home. We made a reservation for 12 people and we were required to pre-order our food - OK I get that, it would impact the business negatively if we pulled a no-show on a very busy night. We pre-order wings (50?), pizza, fries and a few other menu items. They will not serve you TAP water on wing night .... you are required to purchase bottled water (??) anyway.... I asked to box up the remaining wings (about 20) and the owner would not allow it? But then he came over and said if we had done this on the QT he would've box them up in the kitchen but still would not allow us to our remaining wings home, he was incredibly rude, he actually said "I would rather take the food off the bill and throw it away then let you go home with it!" Well that sealed the deal for our entire party, there are a plethora of other restaurants that we can enjoy and give our business to.
