Excellent Thai food! Lots of vegetarian options! The staff was on top of our service the whole lunch. Their large Thai teas are huge!

Every time I eat here, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite spots in the city. The flavors are so fresh and vibrant--it feels like comfort food with a touch of elegance. The Pad Thai is a classic that never disappoints, but when I'm craving something with a little heat, the Spicy Basil Fried Rice or Green Curry always hit the spot. The portions are generous, and everything is beautifully presented. The staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. The cozy atmosphere (plus their cute little patio) makes it perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner out. I took my friend here a couple of weeks ago and she has now gone back 4 times since then.

Bangkok Chicken.....level 3 spicy. It was heavenly!!! Spicy edamame beans.

BEST THAI FOOD EVER!!! You must try this place!! You will be so glad you did! We walked by Pj's Thai restaurant after a day of sight seeing and noticed this delicious, enticing smell. It smelled so good we canceled our dinner reservations at The Commons. So glad we did!! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AND SO WAS THE SERVICE!! Since a rain storm was brewing we ordered food to go. The young lady who took our order was very friendly. We ordered Bangkok chicken (incredibly flavorful and delicious), steamed dumplings, basil fried rice with chicken (you have to try this ...so good!) and spicy edamame. The portions are so large, we have enough for lunch tomorrow or dinner. The inside was charming, clean, but simple. They put their emphasis on the food. It's definitely a hidden gem!!! Thank you Pj's Thai food for the best meal on our trip!! If we had one more day here we would come for another meal.

All of the food I tried was just okay. Nothing mind-blowing, the pad thai and thai fried rice was fine but not that flavorful. the papaya salad was extremely spicy even though I ordered a level 1 spice out of 5. The mango sticky rice was good, however $10 for the small amount of sticky rice is insane. $8 for a side of dry grilled chicken, I would not recommend. Overall, pricey and mediocre food.

Just a short walk off main tourist area. Reasonably small inside and outside seating area. Good selection on menu. Good flavors and great service. Brown curry one of the best ever. Spring rolls great and Tom Kath recommended. Helpful staff with quick service

We were looking for a casual place for dinner and we saw this cute Thai restaurant right on Abercorn St. We got a table outside and were greeted by a nice server. We decided on the Beef Salad and the Garlic chicken. Both were outstanding...the flavors and the mix of spices were delicate and beautifully prepared....the garlic chicken came on top of a heaping serving of jasmine rice. Excellent food, great service...

I love PJ Thai! It is such a cute small restaurant that holds so much charm with the red door on the corner of the street & seating outside. The service is always hospitable & I am never left unattended to. Their foods hold so much flavor & is always filling. Try the Cha Ma Now Tea-it is so smooth & refreshing. I can't wait to continue trying items off the menu.

Nice sized portions. Cold beer. Good friendly service. Small and cozy, and cold a/c. I recommend the Japanese eggplant ginger lunch.

I'd been desperate for pho, the simple but amazing Vietnamese soup whose broth takes almost a whole…read moreday, several pounds of beef and beef bones, and the chef's full freaking attention, if it's done right. Saigon Cafe on Waters Ave. closed, and that was the last place I knew in Savannah that served that exquisite, clear soup. I always get chicken soup (pho ga). The new owners are doing good work, but I'd been spoiled. The broth doesn't have the depth, and it isn't hot enough. It's gotta come smoking, fogging glasses, clearing sinuses. But Boomy's brings the broth. I've been there two or three times, and it's my new pho go-to. The noodles are wider than At Saigon Cafe, but that's fine; they hold their bite longer without getting mushy. Please note: Boomy's is a bar on Congress Street in Downtown Savannah. It's wheelchair accessible and laid back. A Dad out with his two young boys asked if one kid could use the bathroom and was welcomed ... no purchase, no hesitation. And a lady in a wheelchair with her companion and her dog ducked in for a soft drink and a rest. Everyone's welcome. Nothing about its façade or dive-bar vibe suggests it serves bangin' Vietnamese food. Waitstaff is quick to show you the burger menu on the back, in case pho isn't your jam. Because they serve Thai food as well, they're careful to have you choose your heat level. They're happy to give you pepper flakes on the side and Sriracha at the table. But my pho didn't need it. My lunch companion got the rare beef pho. The hot soup came with thin slices of beef wrapping in foil on the side. Drop it in and it cooks. Looked delicious. My pho ga was amazing. I rarely can eat it all, but I did that day. My only minor complaint is that the bean sprouts looked a little less than fresh, but I'm not a big fan of them in soup anyway. Didn't slow me up one bit. But I AM a big fan of their cucumber and tomato salad. Cukes, chopped tomatoes, grated carrots, and maybe grated radish were all dressed with fish sauce, maybe rice vinegar, and a little sugar. If I'd had some cilantro I would have added it; cilantro is expensive these days. Can't blame them for not including it. It may be available by request. Oh, and try the cocktails. I had the tequila cooler and subbed watermelon vodka for cucumber vodka. So refreshing. Go to Boomy's. Get there on one of the few remaining cool days of spring. Or if you come down with a spring cold. Or if you work downtown in an office meat locker, go to warm up from the inside out. It's worth the hunt for parking.
