I completely understand why this establishment has five stars. And now I must count myself among them. Truly a superb experience. Every aspect of the restaurant, from the interior, service, cleanliness, price, and obviously food are all fantastic. I literally have no complaints. Even the bathrooms were immaculate. On Sundays they have the chicken and waffle special. We also had the fish (fried flounder) and grits. Both were great. The tomato jam served with the fish and grits was a unique and delicious standout. And of course you can't go there without trying the biscuits. So dense but fluffy and homemade. This is now my new favorite brunch spot in St. Augustine! read more

What a beautiful place! Elegant yet cozy, we were immediately drawn in. On a Sunday there was about a 30 minute wait around noon. Totally worth it and you can bum around the shops nearby while you wait for your buzzer to go off. Their fried chicken and waffles special is what my husband chose (see pic). It was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. Almost like a cinnamon roll. A true breakfast treat and so unique. After drooling over every single item on their small menu (love small!), I went with the BBQ Pork Benedict, but due to diet restrictions had to skip the onion ring and hollandaise sauce. However, that did not take away from how delicious it was. I was so impressed and have to say it tasted way more amazing than it looked. The pork was juicy and so flavorful and not that I know poached eggs well but that seemed to be executed perfectly. Gotta say though it's a SMALL dish. If you're starving, you're going to want more food, so that for reason I question the price on it - $16. Hands down don't miss this spot! read more

We started today with brunch at PK's Roosevelt Room, Prohibition Kitchen's separate space for Brunch and special events. It's a gorgeous space. It's located in the heart of tourist country in historic St Augustine so pack your patience. Before I get into the food, I want to talk about the service. Keep in mind this is a typical crowded weekend in St Augustine. The server made a major error in our food order, an error that couldn't be ignored or waved away. We notified the manager and they bent over backwards to make it right. So kudos to the team. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's the way a business recovers from those mistakes that separates the good from the great. And Roosevelt Room did great. On to the food... I ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuits and Gravy. It's a toasted biscuit topped with bacon jam, a Southern-fried chicken breast, gator sausage gravy, and a fried egg. This is stick-to-your-ribs, won't-need-to-eat-again-until-tomorrow food. It was a generous portion of food, tasty, and a good way to power up for a day of walking around town. My wife and I went here for breakfast and got here got there about 30 minutes after they opened and got a seat after about 5 to 10 minutes of waiting. We sat down and noticed the ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, the decor, the seating arrangements, everything about the places really nice and upscale. We ordered and I got the biscuits and gravy, my wife got a got French toast, both of which were very tasty and large portions. Our server was fantastic and I can't say enough how attentive and friendly he was. My only critique is the alligator sausage in the gravy, it was different. It was a good taste, but was a slight game flavor in my opinion. read more

The service was superb, food came out fast, serving size was huge and worth every dime. I had the brisket toast which was so tender that you did not need a knife to cut. The red onions were amazing and eggs cooked perfectly. My hubby's corned beef hash omelette was super delicious because the beef was on point. The fried potatoes were heaven. The only draw back was that the walls in the bathroom-2 feet and down were quite dirty. They have not been cleaned and quite some time. Yuck. It was great it was a gender neutral bathroom with a full size changing table bit again the legs and such were dirty. Tables were social distanced but none of the staff wore masks. It is off season so we walked right in at 11 for brunch. Park behind city hall for easy parking and enjoy your walk. read more

Located in the center of historic George Street, this is a must try for breakfast/brunch while in Saint Augustine. We had the hipster toast with a side of smoked salmon, which paired beautifully together. The special that morning was chicken and waffles, adorned with a light and airy homemade whipped cream topping, and drizzled with blueberry compote. The perfect mix of savory & sweet. Potatoes being a breakfast staple, we were hooked when our waitress told us these babies were duck fat fried. They had to have been some of the best breakfast potatoes we have tried to date! 5 stars for this spot! Make sure to try their sister restaurant right next door, the PK kitchen, also wonderful!! The Roosevelt Room came highly recommended by a server at another location nearby so my family and I decided to try them for breakfast on Saturday. We got there slightly before they opened at 9:00am and we were glad because there were already several people in line! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. We were seated upstairs and the service was prompt. I ordered the hipster toast, while my sister and mom ordered eggs and toast. The portions were generous without being overwhelming and the food was the best we had on our trip! Restrooms were clean, and all the staff were helpful. EXCELLENT all around. I am not surprised this place has 5 star reviews all around. Ethan our server was friendly and on top of all our needs! We ordered the fried chicken biscuits and gravy, creme brule french toast with sides of bacon and cheese grits. The french toast was the perfect combination of apples, pecans, French toast and mascaprone cheese. The boyfriend said his fried chicken biscuit and gravy was delicious. My daughter and I were in St Augustine for the day. As we walked along St George Street, we saw a sign for $8 sangrias. We went in and sat at the bar to order our sangrias. Kelly Ann, our bartender, was so very friendly. She shared some of the best places that locals love to go to in St Augustine. PK's is such a charming place with original brick walls and a beautiful staircase. I highly recommend PK's for their friendliness, their drink specials and the atmosphere. Big shout out to Kelly Ann!! We did two of the places she recommended. PS this is a brunch type place and closes at 2. We did not eat here as we had just eaten. read more

Fair many great things to say about this place. 1) the staff were super super friendly and kind. Just extremely warm and inviting. We really appreciated that the most. 2) the food was amazing. We had the eggs Benedict and hipster toast. Both were incredible and highly recommend. 3) the decor is fabulous. 4) bathrooms are clean. 5) coffee is very smooth. I enjoy food, and it's very rare that I give a restaurant a 10 out of 10. The food here was amazing. The breakfast burritos were on point. Biscuits and gravy was the best biscuit and gravy I've ever had. The corned beef and cabbage was delightful. The service was top-notch. Our server was very attentive. And the ambience, I felt like I snuck into the first-class section. The Chandelier, the staircase going up to the upper tables. It wasn't too much. It was just enough. The food was really good. The fried chicken, eggs, and biscuit (5/5) was amazing. I didn't realize it would have candied bacon on it and this touch really made the whole dish! The gravy was ok, but I think that was intention so it doesn't overpower the dish, great compliment gravy instead. The hipster avocado and toast 4/5 - the cornbread was a unique touch that made it not taste like just another avocado toast. The had fresh squeezed orange juice. I like pulp and it didn't have any, but we will take that over the box stuff anyway! Service was good with Bobbie. He was polite, gave us good food options to choose from and went above and beyond to give us cool bars and dessert spots to visit while in town. Would definitely recommend this spot. read more

My wife and I recently visited PK's Roosevelt Room for brunch on a recent trip to St. Augustine. We were very skeptical of the high reviews since the restaurant is located in the heart of the most touristy part of St. Augustine. However, we were magnificently impressed! We didn't have reservations on a Sunday but only waited 10 minutes for a table. We decided to share three dishes: Smoked Salmon Board, Fried Chicken Biscuit & Gravy, and Hipster Toast. For an appetizer the Smoked Salmon Board was very large. Usually with smoked salmon, the fish comes in thin pre-smoked slices but this version had a full freshly smoked meaty and flakey filet topped with briny capers. Toasted bagel slices were nicely crisp and perfect for topping with the salmon, creamy chive Boursin cheese, tangy pickled onions, and crisp arugula. The Fried Chicken Biscuit & Gravy is the heavenly definition of comfort food. Perfectly crisp breading embraced super tender juicy chicken. The chicken sat on the bed of a soft savory biscuit and sweet flavorful bacon jelly and was topped with hearty thick gator sausage gravy and a nicely yolky egg. The Hipster Toast was also phenomenal! Thick sweet toasted cornbread was topped with lemony creamy avocado, heavenly creamy goat cheese, crispy bacon, crunchy pecans, crisp arugula, and a perfectly yolky poached egg. Every dish was a 10/10! PK's Roosevelt Room is legit, one of the best breakfast spots I have ever tried and is a must visit. read more

The Roosevelt Room is not just a meal, it's an experience. Our server, Randi M, was super attentive and friendly. The Fried Chicken Biscuit was superb! Almost more than I could eat. The others in our party enjoyed the omelette and quiche as well. The food experience is satisfying and full of complex flavors. Very rich. The decor is very classic and cool. Unfortunately, like many restaurants in the downtown St Augustine area, there was a long wait. We did wait 40 minutes but it was so worth it once we enjoyed the meals. I had the Hippie Toast (and a side of potatoes) and it was one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever enjoyed. It was so much food I was not able to finish it all. The cornbread instead of toast had this great contrast of slight sweetness paired with the mashed avocado, goat cheese crumbles, poached egg with crumbled bacon and pecan bits. So flavorful and amazing. I added some hot sauce to finish and make the perfect dish. The breakfast potatoes were also out of this world. Skins were crisp; buttery and soft; but mostly perfectly salted. I cannot recommend enough. The venue was beautiful as service good. But that dish will bring me back! Husband had the brûlée French toast. Looked super sweet to me with the vanilla marscapone and apples but he described it as perfect. read more

Second visit to St Augustine and I had to come back! Their tomato soup Is amazing. I loved the natural OJ, their potatoes AND the sweet bacon. My parents werent fond of the bacon but loved the rest of the food. This place is elegant, but doesnt depend on its decor and its fancy chandeliers to speak for their food. I'm not normally a huge fan of breakfast for dinner. We were in St. Augustine for nights of lights and the waits at most restaurants were insane so we decided to give it a shot. The hostess got us in quickly and the wait staff was friendly. I ordered the chicken fried chicken (with potatoes, collard greens, and sausage gravy). The breading on the chicken was near flawless. It had the perfect crunch which held up well to the gravy. The only thing that stopped a five star was a cup with lipstick on it (which they were extremely quick to correct and apologize for) read more

Amazing! Not crowded. Sat in the courtyard. Greeted by the owner at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. It's kinda tucked away but in the middle of everything. Avoids the touristy madness. Everything had layers of flavor. Take a bite of anything, close your eyes and pay attention to the layers. Genuinely constructed. Great hospitality. Amazing food. All of these high reviewers must not get out much. I hate to be so negative, but wow... things could have gone better. With all the fuss about this restaurant we were happy to only have a 30 minute wait for a party of four. After we were sat, reviewed the menu, and ordered- our food took over 35 minutes to arrive. During this time our waitress checked on us once. Not that we needed anything, but they were not crazy busy and it is only breakfast food. Seemed a little excessive. I had the Croque Madame and it was very good. Everything else our party ordered was below average. My wife had their eggs Benedict special, it was cooked ok but lacked flavor and the pork was quite tough. My brother had an omelette with cheese and bacon, his cheese was not even melted. My sister-in-law had the corned beef from the waitresses suggestion and it was pretty horrible. We had a couple waffles on the side and they didn't have the right texture and lacked flavor. Not to mention the only thing hot on any of our plates were the potatoes. It was a pretty big letdown and other than the lovely atmosphere, there weren't many redeeming qualities. With so many other great restaurants, who has time to give a sub performer a second chance? To those about to dine, do yourself a favor and skip the blowsevelt room! read more

You know when you're playing Candy Crush and you get a lot of points it says "Incredible?" Every bite I took I kept thinking, incredible. Such a delicious, unique mesh of flavors. Yum! We had the Croque Monsieur and Brisket Rancheros. Both were amazing and would order again. Our waitress suggested Hipster Toast (rave reviews on here), but wasn't what we were feeling. We had coffee (Puerto Rican, yum) and Ms Eleanor (grapefruit mimosa). Pricey for breakfast, but worth it. read more

If that small a difference made the deal fall thru, I certainly would not want him servicing the cart in the future. He probably would nickel and dime you to death if his margins are that small! I bought 3 miles down the road and actually got a much better cart for a reasonable price.

I know I sound like Crabby Patty but our experience was disappointing. $100 w/tip for brunch for two, including 1 mimosa, a latte and a side of candied bacon (covered in a heavy layer of sticky goo, not crisp). My eggs were cooked nicely, my friend's omelette was overcooked. Her potato confit was chewy, not crispy on the outside. The biscuits were gorgeous but dry. I think some of the problems were because our food sat under the heat lamp too long. Grits okay, milk or cream in the recipe would've done the trick. Our waitress was nice but preoccupied with the large group next to us, (mostly chatting not serving). Bartender forgot about my latte. Every time we needed something we couldn't get our server's attention. We finally had to ask the hostess walking by for refills. Beautiful, upscale locally sourced brunch venue. Hours 9-2 pm, opened in May of 2020. The food is outstanding. my husband and I ordered the corned beef and potatoes and the lobster Benedict. The the corned beef is made in house, great flavor and super tender, with caramelized onions and a slightly sweet pub mustard. Served with potato confit, fingerling potatoes perfectly cooked in DUCK FAT!!! And topped with a local fried egg. The lobster Benedict was loaded with lobster and served on house made English muffin loaf, delicious flavor and great texture.
