Come hungry! They have a menu (with items, like shrimp, not offered as part of the buffet), but most people come to eat plate after plate of salad, rice, beans, mashed potatoes, sirloin steak, barbecued ribs, pork, chorizo, chicken - with tortillas. My fiend ate SEVEN full plates! I was full after just the first one - but that didn't stop me from going back 1.5 more times. The beverages are also generous in their portions. My mangada was an entire liter! Gluttony is one of the "seven deadly sins". PKDO stands for "pecado". which means "sin" (six of which are labeled on different walls. One fell off and is now missing. Guess which one. Pride/Vanity - as in Arrogance/Haughtiness). "PKDO" could ALSO stand for "picado", meaning "chopped", like their meat is - into strips; but it does NOT.
There is an outdoor play area - for children.
On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, PKDO has a band playing live music. Sundays, a different band plays norteña music. Tuesday and Thursday, there is recorded music playing (mostly banda Sinaloense while I was there). IF you have kids, they can eat free on sims days. Come on a Thursday is it is close to the date of your birth. Show ID with a birthdate of it and eat for free! IF it is your birthday, PKDO wait staff will sing you a song - and make you drink.
