After running errands in the area, I found myself a bit hungry but in a hurry to get back on the road. Found this place just as I was parking to go to a different place. The place is quite small. The employee that helped me was quite friendly. I didn't want anything too heavy so I got their small burrito version with carne asada. I also got the cantaloupe/strawberry/pineapple blended fruit juice. Both were good. Not amazing, not horrible. They were also decently priced. The physical space is small, enough room for 4 tables very close together. The lady working there was very friendly! I loved her as our cashier. This is such a good, casual lunch spot! Affordable prices and great deals on food! It's been in the area for forever, so don't expect it to be modern or anything, it's super whole in the wall. The three ladies that work here explained that there is a tunnel underneath the cafe which leads to a chasm, deep within the Earth's surface, known as "the echo realm". Apparently, you yell a deep, personal, plaguing question into the chasm and it responds. Wonderful burrito, as well. read more

Placita cafe is a great place for an affordable, healthy and refreshing meal. My favorite thing to get here is the shrimp tostadas! They're perfect for a hot summer day. They're also very healthy! They also sell chips with guac here. And the juices are fresh and sooo well-priced. It's sort of a hole-in-the-wall place but it is a hidden gem. I once took my friends here for lunch and they seemed hesitant to try anything but I insisted it was good! They ordered green juice and tostadas and were won over! Everything here is sooo healthy! I suggested the restaurant to another friend and he, too, expressed some hesitancy in trying the food but ultimately took my word. He got some fresh juice and told me it was perfect lol. read more

I was finally around Olvera street and I had the chance to try this place out. I orderd a chicken wrap, ham torta with a blueberries/orange/pineapple smoothie and pineapple juice. Everything tasted pretty good and the smoothie tasted very fresh. This place also had very good service and they also bring your order to the table. I love finding new Juice bars and exploring all over SoCal. Also this place has low prices and good portion. For me, it serves as a fairly convenient place to grab some ice cream (I like their Pistachio and Cookies & Cream flavored options) if I am merely craving a sweet snack. If I'm craving a savory snack instead, I've found I can't go too wrong with their beef nachos - served with sour cream, avocado, jalapenos, cheese, and diced tomatoes. Their horchata is decent, and appears to be "home-made" - not industrially produced. Their tacos are not particularly massive, but they *are* still only 99 cents. Seating inside is fairly limited - but since I tend to come during slower hours, it hasn't proven to be a problem for me yet. read more

Their small Mexican style (mini) burrito is my ideal burrito size and yes, i am vastly fulfilled. Sadly, I cannot eat too much bread because of my stupid stomach which prohibits me from enjoying what everyone is meant to enjoy, however their salads are heavenly. On any hot day in LA (which is basically every day b/c its hot all the damn time) Placita is a breath of fresh air. Can we talk about their prices for a second tho?!? Such great deals for such fresh food options and that's so hard to find now days!
