After two days of driving through snow storms and heavy rain and spending a night sleeping in the truck at a Cracker Barrel just outside Chattanooga, TN, we finally made it to South Florida. We had just arrived to the area and it was a bit late. We were driving through Homestead, FL. We were hungry looking for something to eat. We saw an open food stand serving Venezuelan food. My wife being Venezuelan, and my favorite food being a Cachapa, we hooked a u-turn and headed back to the food stand. I ordered the Venezuelan hamburger (Burger La Tuyera) and my wife ordered the Barrilla (mixed BBQ). This was the first time I have had a Venezuelan hamburger. It was a huge hamburger (see the pics). It had sausage, an egg, cheese (queso de mano), corn... it was awesome. My wife loved her order. She had been saying she could not wait to get down to Miami to get some delicious arepas. The selection of meats in mixed BBQ tasted great and were cooked perfectly. The arepitas tasted awesome. The food here at this food stand was definitely worth doing a u-turn for. The couple running the food stand were very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning another day to try out their cachapas!!

The owner is very friendly and always gives good suggestions. It's opened during the evening hours until night so it's always fresh to sit and eat there. I have to return and try their burgers or carne en vara!!! 100 recommended!

i didn't expect a whole lot from this food stand in cauley square, but i was pleasantly surprised…read moreby the quality of our sandwich! it was piled high and very tasty, but otherwise very small--about half the size of a normal cuban sandwich but definitely not half the price. we also got what tasted like a guanabana (soursop) slushy, which didn't have a ton of flavor, and a horchata, which tasted a little odd. that said, the staff were all extremely friendly. the courtyard and tables are cute and had umbrellas for the sun or rain (both of which we experienced during our visit). i did not experience what other reviewers did with rude staff who gave them a hard time. we sat at a table with our dog while deciding what to order and all we got from latin corner were smiles and waves. overall, happy with the food and service, disappointed by the drinks, and sort of confused about the price (high). i'd return if i was in the area but i probably wouldn't make a special trip.

We were there before going to visit the tearoom. We probably would have come back later in the afternoon for a coffee or Popsicle. BUT DUE TO THE LADY THERE WE DID NOT. CUSTOMER LOST. I also see same attitude and rudeness to another customer, read below. I was also with my friend who is in her 70,'s . We were taking photos and this lady was glaring at us. I was collecting mini peacock feathers with my charge. We sat down and she stormed over, mumbling in Spanish...glaring at us. She pointed to a hand written sign posted on one of the tables there. ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS. What a miserable miserable person... I wonder IF she even owns the land we were stood on, or even the tables for that matter. I would love Cauley square to answer this. If she is not the owner of this business, she should be let go, as she is impacting your business.
