Hired Plamar through Home Depot for kitchen backsplash and countertop. We used high end stone for this work. The quality of work was below par edges not smooth, faucet and backsplash touching each other (against code), completely left the work area and outside in dirt. After repeated escalations they agreed on the mistake but have yet to make the corrections. It's 3+ months since they did the work. Note I left the incomplete work in their work order. The work crew was rude enough to rush the work vs come back with the right cuts. Would recommend tying other installers. read more

Seems like they get good reviews which tells me that if nothing goes wrong, they do good work. However, if something goes wrong, which I guess is rare, here is what might just happen to you. Less than two months after Plamar installed a new countertop for me a crack developed along the sink seam. While my own contractor suggested that the seam be set at a less vulnerable spot, Plamar insisted that there would be no issues with putting the seam at the thinnest section of the countertop. Well, two months later, a crack developed and Plamar response? "This crack is customer caused and even with the counters just being in for 2 months, that is not something a warranty replacement will cover." Nice! Oh, and they also banged into the fridge on installation but since I didn't notice that gash when there were three guys in my kitchen when I signed the release, I'll eat that too. They did offer to put some glue on the crack in the new countertop that they installed. They also filed a claim with the manufacturer (passing the buck?) but when I wanted confirmation that they would make good on replacing the cracked countertop, rather than just putting glue in the crack, they decided the crack was my fault. read more

This comment is not about the quality of their finished product, but is about their lack of safety of the crew and the houses around them, They created a MASSIVE silicate cloud that covered my Roses and plants, and my freshly detailed Tesla. I asked the to do something about the dust, and they refused and referred me to their corporate phone number and continued to grind. I chatted whit the manager. He told me they are required to wear breathing prtoectiion and to use vacuums to control the dust. They left for the day and came back on April 29th, 2025. Before they started, I talked to the only guy who spoke English. and asked him to wear safety gears and control the dust. He told me he as been doing this for 10 years and is very healthy. They trotted grinding again and initially the dust cloud was moving away from my house, but the wind changed and saturated my yard again with the harmful dust. One of my other neighbors came over with me to complain and he3 just blew us off. I told him his boss said using vacuum was mandatory and refused to do it. I brought out my cell phook car of the dust cloud 100%. JUST BE CAREFUL USING THEM!! read more

Plamar is the contractor of Home Depot. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend against this business. We had a kitchen countertop replacement project earlier this year. During the process, Plamar cut the material in the wrong dimension twice (which was quite ridiculous given it is a simple task) and delayed the project by around a month, during which time we could not use the kitchen at all. The lady in charge Liz was extremely arrogant and did not care about customers at all. She insisted that the crew can only come at an inconvenient time with no option, and we had to take half day off of work only to find the crew would actually arrive much later than promised. Not to mention the job couldn't get done two times because of the wrongly cut material. If the final outcome would be good, we wouldn't give a one star either. That was not the case. As seen in the picture, the countertop is no longer horizontal and is actually tilted. It is impossible to fix without redoing the whole process. I thought I could at least give this review so that other customers can reconsider if matched with Plamar. read more

Plamar and Kevin were absolutely the best choice for fabrication and installation of our quartzite kitchen countertops. A technician came to measure in our home, and created a digital model from the physical plywood mock-up countertop we had made using his high-tech instrumentation. It was awesome! I served as the designer for our kitchen remodel project, and it was very important to me to select the specific slabs of stone for our kitchen counters and backsplash. My visit to the warehouse was great! I was shown the available pieces in the color we had chosen at Home Depot. Even though it was almost closing time, the staff were warm and patient as I identified the 2 slabs I wanted to be used. I took pictures of them and then followed up by email to communicate how I wanted the layout to be cut from the stone. Kevin let me know that they would do their best to accommodate my ideal layout. On installation day, I realized that they had cut them exactly how I had requested, even though there were more cuts and extra drops necessary to accomplish it the specific orientation that I wanted. The installation crew did a good job; the one seam is nearly invisible. The Plamar fabricator/installers are rock stars! They first installed a simple minimalist 2cm Calacatta Goa dining room counter. Then when we reconfigured our entire kitchen they fabricated a long matching L-shaped counter with drop-in cooktop, sinks, backsplashes with window sill ledge and a huge island with overhang. Since this was the second remodel of a 1970's kitchen nothing was standard, level or perfectly built. The installers were amazing setting up in the driveway with a portable awning in the rain and working relentlessly to complete a very tweaky installation, all with a great attitude and pride in their work. I can't say enough about the great service from the office and design team, the pre fabrication laser measure guru, to the quality of the in-shop slabs cutting and counter fabrication and then the final on-site install crew's tweaking of the details and fine craftsmanship (not to mention the muscle involved ) ! We completely remodeled our kitchen last year. Replacing the countertops was one of the key priorities my wife and I had as our previous kitchen used tile. Plamar was not the cheapest or fastest option we considered. I will not even say the installation process was completely pain free, but what remodel project doesn't come with some challenges. I will say the team over at Plamar were responsive, professional and at the end of the day did an exceptional job making our counter plans a reality. We are extremely pleased with the precision and polish our new counters bring to the space. To drive this point home there was a small chip (quarter of a dime) in one of the slabs that I waffled about mentioning if there was a remedy for months. I finally sent Aldrin an email about the issue and within a couple hours I have an appointment scheduled with a Cambria technician to address the minor aesthetic issue. Hey, Aldrin--that's not my name, but after reading your response to my very honest experience, I wouldn't be surprised if you'd also like to argue this fact. Regarding the damage to my floor, we actually just had those same exact two boards replaced 10/20 in time for the remodel because we knew it would have been much harder to repair once the waterfall edge was in. Happy to send in pictures and receipts! You know what's heavy and causes dents when placed down too hard? Large pieces of quartz slabs! Three inches away from where they're installed. We sent in various pictures of the tile pieces left inside our cabinets and around our house, so your "we clean as we go comment" is laughable. I was home the entire day and never once was a vacuum used. We moved our vent 11/3 and reached out via email to schedule a sooner date and no response. We then gave up on emails and called the office (**PLAMAR'S OFFICE NUMBER**) many times with Liz never at her desk and someone saying "they need to ask their manager before scheduling a new date" but we never heard back. And for the record, our main contact at Home Depot was out sick that same day so no, we heard absolutely nothing back for over 48 hours while everything was in limbo. You claim you respond to your customers, but then also say you expect Home Depot to do communication. Which is it? We have had great communication with Home Depot, but we are all still waiting for a resolution to the seam and sink which are, surprisingly, the only things you didn't debate. I now understand why the guy blamed "shadows" for the discolored slab. It is plain as day that the piece is an entirely different color than the rest of our countertops and it is YOUR job as the business owner to do quality control checks. You were holding our slabs for enough time to catch this and request a new, matching slab--not install it and think we'd fall for the old "it's a shadow" excuse. I highly suggest you start listening to customer feedback and pick up a phone and call them instead of jumping on Yelp to publicly debate everything they're upset about. We leave reviews like this because we're upset about the lack of communication and accountability. In your review you blamed us, Home Depot, and Cambria. Working with HD and Plamar partnership on kitchen countertop was the most time consuming and exhausting part of our renovation. Because they partner up on the service, none of them have the ownership and care about delivering the best customer experience. The price estimate was grossly off and they don't care to fix that. There was a $200 non-refundable even the price comes out to be so much higher but no one cares to tell you about it ahead of times. For your project sack, go for local shop where they would provide a much better experience with an even better price read more

Horrible so far. 6/20/2022. Along with your GC (general contractor) being a month late in getting his part done, Plamar will be the RATE-LIMITING strep in getting your countertop installed. First, there is an unhelpful person who takes your calls. Second, Plamar/Home Depot charges $200 if your kitchen is not ready to measure in time. Are you kidding me?! Plamar- how about calling the scheduled customer 7-14 days before scheduled visit to ask if the cabinets will be ready to measure? How about that?! Third, even though our cabinets were measured by them or their staff a week ago, we STILL have not gotten any call from them to schedule an installation date. You would think that should happen the NEXT day after the measurements are finalized. I am washing bowls and spoons in my GARAGE sink, and am living out of a microwave, all because we don't have countertops and therefore don't have a kitchen sink. Take a pass on this place if you can. The guys who did the demolition and installed the countertops were professional and did a good job. They also did a beautiful job on the countertop seam (see photo). One of the slabs had quite a large vein in it and so I wanted it turned so that the vein was toward the back of the counter. Unfortunately, Playmar only smoothed 3 sides of it. I called and spoke with Jessie, who in turn told me I needed to call Home Depot Interiors, who contracted them. Liz from Playmar called me back before I heard back from HDI and helped figure out a solution. I also spoke with Liz in the office a couple weeks ago and she was quite helpful. The installer (Ruben) very nicely did that for me since he had the right tool. He smoothed the other side and turned it around so it looked nicer. As for the customer service, when I first spoke with Jessie, smoothing the fourth side wasn't an option, so I was going to be stuck with the side they chose. She was quite rude, felt the need to tell me four times that the vein is part of the natural stone, wasn't helpful and frankly sounded like she just woke up. read more
