However, this place charges me 20 dollars for a day pass. Let me tell you what I got for my 20 dollars. 1) There were no cleaning supplies on the gym floor (i.e., disinfected wipes and/ or disinfected spray&rag). You can imagine all the sweat and body liquids that were built up on the equipment, yuck!  2) The level of respects for the gym was zero! The members/guests do not re-rack the equipment. There are free weights scattered across the gym, like sand. I have to go on a hunt to find a matching pair of weights. Worst of all, the employee does not care to track members' weights. Note: It is the employee's job ultimately to care for the gym.  3) The gym pool grants access to the family and their children for a fee. Suppose the condition of the gym floor is poor. I have concerns about the pool's sanitation and the children's safety.  Because if the main floor gym is unsanitary, I have major concerns about the pool.

I asked one woman who was just sitting around on a machine if I can use it and she told me that there's a similar machine at the other end of the gym. NO $#!* Sherlock! And no one at the gym is able to do anything. Yes, the owner is ignoring messages about safety and hygiene at their gym. They can't be bothered to lift a finger even for a safety issue. Aside from how frustrating and gross this is, it's actually legitimately funny how inept this place is. For extra credit, they are unable to keep the mens locker room stocked with enough soap. Combine no wiping down machines, along with inadequate soap in bathroom.....nasty. But try getting ANYONE at this gym to care or do anything about it. I've no joke brought this up at least 50 times with them. I bring it up in person, I call, I email. Nothing has been done. No effort has been made. And also, every single person working there knows this is an issue, they can't claim they are unaware. They know. They just don't care. Too bad there's no health inspection for gyms. Also it's a little bit cramped and gets a little bit busy in some regards but overall I like the place and they think it's a good gym - better than a lot of the ones in Queens and Brooklyn as well. Not as lavish and fancy as Manhattan but then you wouldn't expect to be. They've done a good job for Ridgewood and if they just had some great parking then I would probably give them five stars. Fairly new equipment across the board kind of like mine. I parked illegally for 3 hours and nothing happened to my car, but the fact that there was no legal parking (and I looked for a long time) is the only reason I can't give 5. One of the employees had a crush on me, and it was mutual. She gets 5, easy. I guess I'm easy, too.

I tried this gym out for 1 day with my bf after seeing a Groupon online for $60/one month unlimited. It's been a while since I've actively done Xfit and I thought it would be a great idea for my bf to try it as well even for just a month. I reached out to Coach Lloyd on 7/29 offering to pay directly at the gym (I try to do this to help business owners out because I know Groupon tends to take a big cut). Coach Lloyd responded that he prefers me to pay at the gym. I was completely fine with that. We show up on 7/30 as the class was starting and we were already warming up so we signed a few waivers and just started working out. We had a fun class, people were nice, and the WOD was whatever to be honest (not sure if it was programmed that way for Friday) - simple movements, no real rep cadence. Coach Lloyd was nice then and friendly and tried to help my bf with his toes to bar. I did note that they had no public chalk, which I thought was interesting because the bars were pretty slippery and could be a safety hazard. We leave and come back on Monday of the following week for another class. I only realized when I returned to the gym that we did not pay Friday because I didn't see a charge on my card. I assumed that Coach Lloyd had charged my BF because he had gotten to the 7/30 class earlier than I did. So I approached Coach Lloyd and asked to pay. He then proceeded to try and charge us the full price under the guise that since we did not pay last Friday. I was very confused since he didn't charge us Friday and let us work out without even a reminder to pay even though we had clear email communication. He then responded that "you forgot to pay and that groupon was for July, it's now august". (Wrong by the way, because the Groupon was still LIVE at that time...) I genuinely thought he was joking at this point since we have an email FROM HIM dated 7/29 confirming the price to be paid, and we showed up at 7/30 (before the groupon was over) and Coach Lloyd never once asked us to pay on 7/30. (Would you let people shop in your store and leave without paying? Is it more the buyer or the seller's responsibility here?) But he was serious about charging us the full price. (There's a huge difference between $60 and almost $200 for full price membership) Coach Lloyd, then begrudgingly (you can tell he was not happy about it) offered the groupon deal after we shared the facts. I then tried to add my card on zen planner over the weekend and it kept rejecting it so I ended up emailing Coach Lloyd again and he said due to new mask mandates that they can't accept new members anymore..... (does that even make sense? We had an agreement on the price and membership and all of a sudden, you can't join anymore). I bet if we were paying full price, they would have no problem with that. My friend Amber reached out to Coach Lloyd on Sunday and of course, Lloyd responded happily to have her join....(she showed me the email).... Lol, if you're going to straight up lie and use the pandemic as a guise for not accepting new members ... what horrible business practice here....cmon dude. He never responded to my email about having card issues. It just became very clear that he did not want us to join the gym. I'm pretty disappointed because I really wanted to give Xfit a shot again but this is not the place, not to mention, the train walk there is pretty scary from Atlantic Ave, even in broad daylight. I know it's tough to be a gym owner but this is not how you build loyalty, especially straight up lying to people. Please do not put a Groupon online if you don't want people to get that price... just feels pointless to do that and I would rather not be treated that way. I was pretty disappointed after this experience. I hope the gym owner takes this feedback to heart. No pressure, no judge, good vibes only! Coach is always in control of your technique and ready to answer all your questions. I was surprised how hard I can work in the group when everybody doesn't give up This energy is endless motivation! It's so much fun to do different workouts every time. Got the best form I have ever had after 3 months of regular training. Even feel the health improvement! Grateful for the atmosphere It means a lot, really Such a cool community! Also, convenient to book your spot in the app, usually street parking is easy to find. All Equipment sanitized before and after the workout Thank you guys for all the fun and support.
