I came into Planet Fitness today as a guest with my girlfriend, who is a Black Card member, because I was interested in signing up for my own membership. Instead of being welcomed or shown around, I was denied access to the HydroMassage chairs by an employee named Caitlyn, even after explaining I was there as a guest and ready to join. For a gym that claims to be welcoming and judgment free, this was a poor first impression. First time visitors should be treated better, shown the amenities, and allowed to experience what they're paying for. The lack of customer service completely turned me off from joining. read more

Ridiculous and bait and switch because the woman ont he phone told me i just have to pay the difference of $13. he did let me cancel my membership after arguing that i have to pay $25 and $50 initiation fee again. I first started my Planet Fitness journey last April. The exercise equipment is the best for my needs. Sometimes some machines break down but they don't stay down for long. I think sometimes the TV's don't work, but since I don't watch TV, I don't really notice. I usually come in the mornings when it's not too busy to avoid crowds. For a gym, it has everything I need; friendly neighbors, upbeat staff, showers and a space to move my body!! The music is good for the most part, but sometimes I'll use Rockbot to request my own workout music for the day. The only downside I find is, the upkeep with cleanliness. I come to the gym every morning, and noticed that in the women's bathroom, there are moments where I'll see the same clump of hair 5 or 6 days in a row, even after the bathroom has been "cleaned". Or in the shower, again, clumps of women's hair. Even in the sinks; clumps of hair. One time, the sink was clogged and it wasn't cleaned out for I think 3 days. I'm not sure why the bathrooms aren't thoroughly cleaned each night, because when I come in in the morning, I smell cleaning solution. Why are you not cleaning up the hair and other messes like everything else? I did want to recognize the Planet Fitness staff as they are like a second family. When we see each other (Andrew, Travis, Bri, and the crew), we always greet one another with kindness, respect, love and sometimes even some laughter!! I know that each Planet Fitness is independently owned, so I wanted to recognize the staff that runs this one. Thank you all for being who you are! Please keep the bathrooms cleaned though!!! Horrible experience at this location. I have a year contract with them, that ended today. I've been trying to cancel my membership 4 times for the past 3 months because I wanted to make sure that they weren't just going to keep charging my bank. So far, no one at this facility have been able to help. Today my contract ended and they automatically charged a $50 yearly fee to the account. I am still unable to cancel my membership! read more

Love this gym! Staff is nice and they are always cleaning and refilling the towels. There's a long hair guy who is always cleaning thoroughly. He is very hard working. And another girl that is always deep cleaning the machines. Those two need raises! They are always patching the leather machines so everything looks damn near new. I believe we are getting few new machines soon too. I just wish they had more mirrors in the side rooms to exercise on the mats. read more

Started going here on June 4th of this year, 2025. Took a quick visual look around at the nearby 24 and LA fitness and, to me - this PF is cleaner so I signed up. So far been amazing. The staff is nice, gym is clean enough for me. I rarely see anything out of the ordinary here. This is a great gym, it's kept up very well and always relatively clean. I've never had an issue with the bathrooms being dirty or the equipment not working like at other Planet Fitness locations. The workers here are also really nice and I constantly see them cleaning the equipment multiple times throughout the day. This gym is also fairly empty compared to others I've been to, especially on weekends. I never have a problem finding parking and there's lots of food places nearby. My only issue is that the water dispenser has been broken for weeks and still hasn't been fixed, which means I need to bring a lot more water than usual. But overall, I would definitely come here again! read more

Planet fitness is the absolute worst! I moved and been trying to cancel my policy for a year now. They told me that i physically have to come into the facility or go online. However, I have to make a 2 hour long trip because I never set up online and do not have a email attached to the account. They will not cancel any other way. I haven't gone into that gym in over 2 years but yet they are still charging me even though I told them I wanted to cancel 2 years ago and then they told me they have a sign in at that facility just last week from me when I wasn't even there. When I work out, I want to listen to my own music or catch up on a podcast. That's what makes time fly and the workout enjoyable. Difficult to do at this location. Depending on who's behind the desk, they blare the music so loudly it penetrates even noise canceling headphones. Beyond annoying. I would not recommend this place to women or young girls. There are some scary and intimidating characters that go here. I've told the front desk staff about an incident and they let him walk out without so much as a conversation... Do not come here if you're a woman... I was not going to go into details but seems Tallin or Tallen is refusing to refund my yearly fee (even though I did not ask for this incident to happen and did not want to cancel and their main customer support team says they stand by their customers) I will go ahead and relay what happened. Over the course of a month I've watched shady characters come in with wife beaters, sunglasses inside the gym and backpacks. All against their "non intimidation" policy. Yet nobody asked them to change or leave. One stood over me about a foot away watching while I did a machine, I assumed he was just waiting for me to finish, but who knows. Very uncomfortable for any woman. The other day another creeping character in a similar white wife beater tank top was in the back room running to a pull up bar and jumping on it over and over again while I along with other members worked out on the other side of it. Then he would pace angrily back and forth while punching the air like he was getting ready for a boxing match. He was scary angry. This went on for a while. I wasn't the only one a bit concerned. After I mentioned it to the front staff on my way out, they assured me they'd watch the cameras and talk to him. Five minutes later he walked out of the gym without anyone talking to him. I get it, it's just a job. They don't care nor do they want to intervene. I was also told don't worry, we'll refund and cancel your membership. So instead of saying, we will cancel the shady men's memberships, they would rather I leave along with any other women that don't like that behavior. Got it! Kinda bummed out to hear writing this review because I used to really enjoy this location. But it's really in need of a remodel or at least a better manager. So many machines not working. For the last 3 months I've reported numerous times the tvs on some bikes aren't working. They didn't seem to care. The floors are usually a mess. I went 5 days in a row and noticed a pile of dust and a feather on the floor by the machine. No one wipes machines down. Trash cans overflow. Paper towels not filled. Meanwhile teenagers talking at the front desk. Guess it's time to find a new location. Sad because back when I first joined up this location was top notch. read more

I travel frequently so I get to work out in Planet fitness across the country and the Foothill Ranch CA location is kept very clean and the desk people are the friendliest of all the locations. I recommend this gym to all my local friends and can't wait for their upcoming upgrade this summer. For me, as an older fit male, there is no better gym. read more

We cancelled our memberships and I hope Planet Fitness understands that they lost memberships simply because of two people who should not be allowed to deal with clients. If you're a woman this is worth a read. I have been going here for over two years, I go 6 days a week. I have experienced harassment from another male member twice my age, this has happened more than once and in front of other witnesses. I took this issue to management the second time it happened- to me and my friend - WASTE OF TIME. The GM informed me that the best he could do was call and basically ask the member to avoid speaking with me. I go to this gym alone at night I told him I'm not comfortable with that given the potential retaliation and worrying for my safety. I requested the member be removed from just this specific planet fitness he informed me he couldn't do that because I hadn't been physically harassed yet. ( However, that's not what the website says- it says this...) "Planet Fitness does not tolerate verbal or physical harassment of any member or team member for any reason. Violations by members may result in cancellation of membership. If any member experiences harassment: The incident of harassment shall be reported to a Planet Fitness team member or manager as soon as possible Issues that are not resolved in a manner satisfactory to a member may also be directed," I told him I didn't want to wait for something bad to happen to me that's why I took this issue to him to begin with. So long story short I cancelled my membership because they won't follow their own policy. Planet fitness to my Knowledge is franchise meaning they are individually owned and operated so there is ZERO accountability, they make their own rules apparently, and don't seem to care about the saftey of their members. This location, like every other location I've been to, has a sign in the tanning rooms that says "Caution, new tanning bulbs. Please adjust time accordingly." And the sign is permanently fixed to the wall! It is always there. So if someone starts out tanning assuming there are new bulbs and adjusts their time accordingly, when PF actually put new bulbs in, they will burn! I sure did. Nice gym! I'm not really much of a gym rat, but I do like to get my exercise in by using the treadmill or stairs. I've been a member for about a year now and I've never had a bad experience! Equipment is clean, lobby is clean, staff is friendly/always cleaning, and the other people exercising are always minding their own business. As a black card member, I have access to discounts, tanning beds (tubes), hydro massages, and more. The gym even has showers, an exclusive 30 minute weight section, classes, and apparently free pizza or bagels on certain days! (Although I have yet to visit.) But anyways, I'd recommend signing up to go here. I always just come in, do my stuff, and leave. Very peaceful! read more

Don't come to this gym if you're serious about weight training and hoping to get your workout done in a reasonable time frame. Everyone who goes to this gym hogs machines and drapes their belongings over them when they're not even using said machines, holding up everyone else needing to use them. In the real world, when you're on break between sets you share your machine with someone else needing to use it who knows what they're doing. Everyone here's a bunch of self entitled children who've clearly never been in a real gym, let alone the real world. Welcome to OC ;) The guy with face tattoos and dead eyes who works nights here is also extremely unsettling. I love everything else about the gym; NEW, clean & maintained, large variety of exercise equipment (free weights & nautilus), lots & lots of cardio machines, clean & updated bathrooms, purified water fountain, massage chairs, etc. and friendly staff. The only negative thing I can say is that they DO NOT have enough mirrors Through out the large work out areas. Nobody takes responsibility for cleaning at this location! When you ask a manager about the state of things they quickly pass blame. Or act as though it's a personal issue. If nobody picks up a mop then it never gets done! Simple as that... You work there .. means it's your job to clean and make the environment safe for guests. The two people working the counter having a fun conversation without a care in the world as to the state of the place they are getting paid to work in. The same place I give my money to that pays thier paycheck! (Zero responsibility taken in the last year by anyone) Instead this place is absolutely filthy from floor to ceiling. Disclaimer: I came here on opening day, but hopefully the cleanliness and friendly service continues! Parking is super easy in the lot, and they just scan your card and let you in. There are a ton of cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, etc.), but they have a good amount of strength machines too, although there are only 2-4 of each so I'm not sure how it'll be when it's busier. There are also specific areas for circuit training and abs/stretching, as well as an area for free weights and kettle bells. They do have complimentary classes if you're into that. Bathrooms are really clean, and they do have lockers. I love how they promote a judgement-free atmosphere. Music is loud and good, so next time I won't be bringing earbuds.
