You need to come early if you want to snag parking next to the gym, if not you are parking across the street. It's very clean, spacious bathrooms and the second level is where they play games. There is no parking fee. You only pay on weekends for tournaments for club and high school teams. We've had a great experience so far and looking forward to coming back next season.

Terrible Lifeguards working here. I would be cautious taking a child here who can't swim…read more Today, there were 5 lifeguards and none of them saw a boy significantly drowning/cannot swim. Did any of them help? Nope... It's like they didn't even see a child right in the middle of the pool screaming for help. Luckily, I walked up when this was happening and saw the boy drowning, and jumped in to save him. He was very shook and still none ever came to check on the drowning kid. What are these lifeguards doing? Is it just a show or can they seriously help a drowning person? This is ridiculous. Other than this BIG experience that happened today, the grounds are clean but they need more tables and chairs around the pool areas. And actually making sure the lifeguards are doing their responsibility.

Also I have been here a few different tines to play pickleball! Yes I know I'm one of thoooose people that is judgy about a pickleball court and blah blah blah. But hey this is Yelp! Courts were clean, very minimal traffic on the courts and never a wait since you get to reserve the court. Resident has to reserve the court and guest pay $5. Flys and mosquitos are a problem here especially at night. (Yes because of the giant lake next to the courts) but again, staff seems to be doing very little to fix these inconveniences to guests. Some good and some bad but overall it depends what you're looking for when coming here. Day time pickleball and swimming, absolutely. Night time pickleball and weddings, probably not.

Montanoso Rec somehow takes 90% of the best bits and puts them all in one spot. The variety of equipment available is huge. I spend a lot of time in the stretching and movement quality room, which even has a massage table. Their weight and cardio room is stacked with great equipment, including two barbell bench setups and a Smith machine, and they have a separate lifting zone too with an Olympic platform and two squat racks. Outside there are battle ropes and a TRX area, and there's a full group fitness studio to boot. I've seen the negative reviews about the staff, and they couldn't be further from my experience. Everyone has been welcoming and friendly from day one, so if there were any issues then they've been resolved. Similarly the pool, which was completely refurbished a few years ago and is in beautiful shape. Swimming in the late afternoons is my favorite time, as it isn't usually crowded and that's when the sunlight breaks through the trees into the water and everything sparkles. The pool deck is really nice too. The crowd who train here are a good mix of local high school athletes, older folk still putting in work, and a few diehard Ironman competitors. The local fire department drop by to work out sometimes too. It's low on posers, I've never seen anyone videoing themselves or dropping weights. Most people keep themselves to themselves and get their training done. I've heard (not witnessed) a few stories about people being a bit territorial in yoga classes, and occasionally the barbells can get a bit grimy and need a pre-use clean, but I'm nitpicking to find anything bad to say at all. If you want to train properly in MV, this is your spot.

But since I've been going to the gym for 3 years now here are some critiques The hip thrust machine always has a line. Please invest in another hip thrust machine or two because it truly is one of the most popular machines for the girls. There is only one smith machine. There is always a line for the smith machine as well. I've also had a lot of issues with people placing their stuff on equipment and walking away like that claims the machine. There needs to be a sign that says you can't put your stuff on an equipment and walking away for 10 mins. It's very frustrating for a mom that only has a certain amount of time to workout while my kid is in daycare. My app has not worked to make a daycare appointment for months. I've mentioned this several times and the management needs to help the daycare with this issue. The daycare hours have made me truly considering canceling and going to lifetime since that is honestly the only reason I go to this gym. They should be open on sundays and not have a 4 hour gap in the middle of the day.

Never really stuck to any, never in my life thought I'd be doing crossfit. The Level Method makes crossfit attainable fo everyone. Their scaled system makes it so that you work as hard as you can to your own ability, and you are judged against yourself. You learn proper form and good habits that prevent injury and don't move to new more complicated steps until you are strong smoggy and technically ready. I'm down 30 lbs in 1 year, not only have I had fitness training, but a complete wellbeing experience. From nutrition workshops, to breathing exercisers. It's well rounded. The coaches are personally very invested in each of the members and work with individual needs. They are extremely encouraging, and inspirations themselves. The people are genuine. Everyone really wants everyone succeed. It's a small family without trying. People just care. I had never experienced his in a gym before.

This is the newest Sender One location, and it's definitely my favorite. It's pretty far from where…read moreI live, so unfortunately I won't be able to come frequently, however I've already made the drive several times here since their opening. The route setting is the most fun I've had of all the locations. There's a route setter I don't think I've seen anywhere else (I think maybe their codename is Monk) who set really awesome routes. In general the climbs here feel very balanced with an even difficulty the whole way up (as opposed to LAX, where one move will be impossible on an otherwise very easy climb). Some of the 5.10s also feel more challenging compared to other S1 locations, which opens up more climbing options for intermediate and/or lead climbers. The biggest plus of this gym is what's surrounding it. Having boba, coffee, and food right next door is absolutely what climbing gyms have been missing in California. Being able to take a quick break and get back into the climbing session was really nice. I really hope future locations build in shopping centers similar to this!

Because it wasn't too crowded, and the ease of clipping in/out my kiddo enjoyed his time until the last second. Vs the Santa Ana location he was getting super frustrated and was giving up. The reason for 1 star off is because the area is quite small. Have to be careful not To be in the way of other climbers jumping Off etc. I want to try it next time with my husband.
