I LOVE this gym. I have been going there since the day it opened in March of 2018. They have always had good staff, they've always had good management. The vibe is always positive and it's always a good experience. The only thing that is actually starting to really bother me is that not sometimes.....every.single.time. I walk into the locker room there is a teenage boy with his shirt off doing muscle flexing poses taking videos and selfies in front of every mirror in there, and sometimes it's a group of boys. Like I said, this isn't sometimes, it's non stop and it's vain and egotistic and the complete opposite of what Planet Fitness is supposed to be about. I wish there was something that could be done about it. it's not at all the gyms fault, but I wish it could be addressed somehow. There's a huge saying in the gym itself leave your ego at the door. Moved to Maricopa and the gym I have a lifetime membership to is not here. After evaluating all the available gyms I decided on Planet fitness. My reason for choosing this place was that the black membership allows me to use any gym in the country and bring a friend every time. I travel a lot and there always seems to be a planet fitness nearby. This gym is clean and the equipment is in great condition. The showers and restrooms are always clean when I work out. Today I came in to reestablish my membership because I didn't want to do it online. I asked for assistance manually hogging up a good 20 min of the representative Alan. He was kind and patient and explained everything in depth. He did a great job for the customer service role. He was not rushed at all. Very kind fella. Secondly being with this gym on/off almost 8 years I have been to several clubs between Washington and now this location. There are signs EVERYWHERE that say phone calls need to be made in the LOBBY. I am broken everywhere. Pain 24/7. This place couldn't be any better. The employees are all ultra friendly and helpful. You can get advice or programs to work on. The black card gets you all the massage machines and tanning and body machines also. They will help you to deal with the pain from the workouts. Without the machines I wouldn't be able to last a few days and I would quit. This place is a lifesaver. I hadn't walked in 5 yrs. nowhere will you find more friendlier and more caring people. They keep the lockers bathrooms and all machines clean. MARICOPA location is excellent. There are problems but they are fixed immediately so there are no problems here. After starting my membership, I became disabled. I called the gym several times to try to cancel my membership because I wasn't physically able to attend. I was constantly told that I had to come into the gym because a physical signature was required. I explained my situation several times but still no cancellation. Therefore I was forced to pay membership fees and annual fee for over a year and not once have I ever used the membership! After a year of payments, and me attempting to cancel while getting the runaround by several different employees, I finally received instructions on how to log onto the website (not my App) and cancel the membership online. I spoke with a manager and advised that although I was given wrong information several times and this could have been resolved over a year ago, they will only refund me my current monthly fee. Still leaving me out of over $350. I will be contacting my disability attorney to review this. read more

First day at the gym and I had 1000 questions because I've never been to planet fitness. The girls behind the desk where super nice and handled all my questions with grace. I can't go on enough about how well I was treated and the quality of customer service I received. The vibe of the gym is really chill. I haven't looked much in to classes yet. This place is very clean and they have sanitation station everywhere to clean equipment. This place has friendly and helpful staff.

For the price I pay, I cannot complain. This gym offers more equipment than the old planet fitness I used to go to. I will say even when it's busiest (M-F 4-8pm), I can still workout without it feeling too congested. The bathrooms are very big and have a lot of stalls and showers, which I appreciate. There are a lot of TVs and cardio machines: stairmaster, treadmills, rower, elliptical and stationary bike. The customer service is usually pretty good as well! I was so happy to be back at the gym today. They just opened back up, about a week later than Chandler PF's. Everything appeared clean. I was taken back by people with no masks or masks hanging off their faces. I was also shocked that some people were not wiping down machines and weights. Unfortunately the staff is so young that I think they don't have the nerve to say anything. I don't see them really monitoring this at all. Love the new facility here in Maricopa. The staff is amazing and are so helpful and friendly. They are always smiling and will to assist in any way . The facility is clean and the equipment is new and clean as well. They have the infra red heating machine to help relieve sore muscles and tanning beds. In a rather irritating voice asked for my phone number and then my name. He then explained how I didn't have a membership and that was the reason I couldn't get online information. I then explained I joined with my silver sneakers plan and added the black card. He then huffed, blew out some air and explained that I didn't have a membership. in the same tone. I said they didn't have a problem taking my money so somebody better find my membership. He asked to see this in my bank statement Then a miracle happened he was able to find it. When covid hit they closed, then reopened to limited hours and May 2021 with almost all businesses in Arizona opened to normal hours, planet fitness continues to be 4 am to 10pm. When I signed up it was 24 hours. When I upgraded to black card it was 24 hours. I can't get into the gym during those hours most days. Yet they still bilked me an annual fee right when club reopened and same fees, just far less hours. Their stock price is near an all time high. My wife and I are very upset. She has to skip time with kids or dogs to rush into planet before their 10 pm closing when pre covid she signed up to use the gym from 11 pm to 1 am. It's upsetting. I joined to recuperate from some joint issues that I have ongoing. I actually joined to use the express area 30 minutes by circulating intervals on each machine. Each machine is specific to program, my biggest complaint is how many side users come in from main room to jump in front of users to use a machine with set reps! Hello the machines are numbered! Not only do they upset the flow but have no idea people are actually following rules! I've complained but they basically want you to handle it first while most of the attendants are chatting in front with each other! I don't get it? It's not only rude but every machine has a sign and motion lights for use time. Most of the people who do jump in from main room are weight lifters who are only self absorbed and don't care, most the people in interval 30 min room are us over 60 and limited out there. I like that the showers have lots of HOT water and they're very clean, but I don't like the softener in the water. It makes it hard to tell if the soap is off or not and it's hard to exfoliate. As a traveler, I mainly use PF for the showers, so the shower quality is very important to me. The staff is very friendly. read more

They just opened this place up not too long ago, and I must say, it's a great place to workout. Very laid-back, plenty of exercise machines, and best of all, if you are Black Card member, you can use the massage chairs and hydro machines. They said "that is controlled by corporate and we don't even know the owner's phone number."... Instead, they were playing a paid program advertising something called "Omega XL" on ABC. I'm not liking this Planet fitness thing. Upon joining I informed the ladies I am on disability and would be under silver sneakers. They told me that's fine because of the program I'm in I can cancel anytime without penality. I have not even been there since that day and they have already taken 2 pmts from fiancee account which is another thing. She told them only take the first pmt from her account which I am not on and deal with me for other pmts. They said okay. Yet they continued to use her account which shoukd be illegal because she never signed for it. I went to cancel and now they want cancellation fee. I just hate when people con you into stuff plus gave me a fake corporate office number. Fairly new, joined the Copa location about a month ago. The facility is always clean, the staff is great. Even at their busiest times, there is machines available. Part of the reason I joined is the black card benefits but the massage chairs being only five minutes long per session is ridiculous. You can sign up for multiple sessions and the staff is supposed to reset them for you but there is a one minute delay in between the five minute times and most of the time, the staff forgets...so you end up having to get up ask them to reset the reserved time. Not a very relaxing way to get a chair massage in my opinion. If they could fix it to at least 10 minutes, this location would be the best. read more

I went in over a month ago and told them I needed to cancel my membership. The girl at the counter told me I had 3 payments left on my membership and I kept telling her it was only 2 payments. She kept arguing with me. Went back and spoke to a manager and he verified I was right that it was only 2 more payments. He told me I could drop off a check, as the automatic withdrawals were stopped by my husband. I went in to drop off a check and they wouldn't take the payment. I told them a manager told me to drop the check off about a month ago and that's what I was doing. The girl was very rude and accused me of lying! I took the check and left. That's not how you treat your paying members! I would never go back there again after those accusations. Now you can come to me to get your final 2 payments, if you ask nicely! read more
