As the previous reviews stated, I also had a similar experience with the bag policy. I have never been to a gym that does not allow you to carry your personal gym equipment you plan to use during your workout. I had a small tote bag that has never been an issue at my previous PF that I had been going to for the last year until this last week. I am writing this due to the Regional Manager(Gisselle Mora) being on a power trip and acting very unprofessional. This is now the 2nd incident that has happened between the Regional Manager, my Significant other, and myself. On May 27th 2026 me and my partner go to the gym as normal and notice the new policy. We understood the policy and went about to our workout. About 30minutes into our workout the workers came up to us and told us about the policy and we acknowledged them and also let them know our bag is in USE. About 10 minutes later we had moved to a different machine in the middle of the Gym. I am observant of my surroundings and noticed Gisselle Mora the Regional Manager make her way from the Desk, look at others peoples bags on the floor but go directly to us. (For the Owner Check Time Stamps 1:00pm-1:14pm). Not only was it embarrassing the way she handled this situation but very unprofessional. She even allowed a member who she knew and felt comfortable being around stay during our conversation. She came to us in a Targeting manner and OVERLY abusing her power. At this point I feel like we are being stalked and now I feel uncomfortable going to a gym THAT I PAY FOR. I have never met a Regional Manager from other Gyms that act in this manner. To not even have the decency to ask if we can step aside and have a civil conversation. Her behavior is out of hand and honestly very disappointing for a Regional Manager. PLANET FITNESS DO BETTER! If I could give negative stars I would for today's experience. I decided to go to the gym again today and the crowd meter showed not very busy. Well that was a LIE! When we got there there was maybe 5 things open. I saw two employees and a bunch of nasty people not wiping the machines down after they were done. Not enough employees to clean in between use when others don't do it. When I went to the front counter to ask about the crowd meter the employee said "oh it might be off a bit". This is terrible and very over crowded for a gym that does not even offer any classes or anything extra. I will be looking for a new gym. Don't waste your time going here you won't get a good workout because everything is already being used. read more

I tried this location and was disappointed. The lady behind the counter had a sad look on her face. The machines were hard to find unlike Northridge Mall, heir staff is always welcoming and friendly. today 6/03/26 was my first time going to this vicinity at a busy hour. app stated crowd meter was low and little to behold walking in was just over crowded. all free weights and benches occupied. weight all in wrong places not by weight number unsanitary practices nobody whipping machines down after use. the cable machines hogged up there was no tricep ropes attachments only two i seen. they both were hogged and carried around so nobody can use. i honestly like the fact that u can get on stairs master or treadmill without waiting. and too many people leaving there stuff at a machine or bench and ghost the machine when u want to use it. i wouldn't of signed up for it and paid this much i want to cancel my membership after my first visit. read more

I gave a 1 star rating solely for the Regional Manager Giselle Mora. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Me & my girlfriend have been enjoying our time with this gym up until a recent interaction with the regional manager. It first started with the tanning room. The rules clearly state that one persons is permitted inside the tanning booth at a time "while in use". But does not say I can't have my significant other put tanning lotion on my back and then leave right after. The regional manager Giselle made a complete scene about it in front of the gym staff and members making the situation feel very uncomfortable and awkward. On the second occasion me and my significant other entered the gym, noticing the new bag policy, it clearly states and I quote " We are instituting a bag policy which prohibits placement of bags and any clothing "NOT" in use on the club floor." We went about our business began our workout, abruptly into our workout she had her staff approach us about my gym bag. I respectfully responded reciting the gym bag policy to them. I'm using my gym bag and everything I have inside my gym bag is equipment I use for example my belts, straps, supplements I take during my workout session. The staff members were very polite we shook hands with a understanding for each other, I also want to make it clear that the staff is not the problem here. We resumed our workout onto the next machine into our second set, me and my significant other notice the regional manager Giselle left the front desk looking at all the other gym bags on the floor but chose to B line directly towards us. Again but this time in the middle of the entire gym she decided to make another scene... I mean where is the professionalism??. Has she not received the proper training?. Not once has she ask excuse me can I pull you guys off to the side in a more private area and speak with you. No this Regional manager is completely on a POWER TRIP, and totally abusing her authority. We've spoken with her very own staff and the staff at the Northridge mall location and they've all said the same... that she abuses her authority with staff and members. At this point we both feel targeted, stalked and especially harassed. With planet fitness having a high standard with no harassment, safe environment we feel completely the opposite. Professional legal steps is being highly considered if this continues. read more

Customer service was not as friendly as the Northridge Mall location! Also equipment is all over the place and in no particular pattern; unlike the Northridge Mall location! Only good thing about the South Main location is that their water dispenser dispenses cold water! read more

The service at this location was beyond great. I felt that Joakin went above and beyond. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and made to feel very welcome by Joakin. Do not waste your time or money here. The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly, and unwilling to follow their own guest policy. With a Classic membership, bringing a guest costs $20. While this fee is supposed to cover 24-hour access, on holidays they charge the same amount despite offering fewer hours of access. There are many higher-quality gyms with friendlier staff and more generous guest policies. read more

Although this gym is brand new, it seems to be running very smoothly and it has a great selection of machines that Planet didnt use to have. The staff is friendly, communicative and welcoming as soon as you walk through the doors. I love that its two stories, allowing for less crowding and more equipment. It kept clean as well. Love this addition to Salinas! read more
