I called an voiced some concerns about the safety and condition of their equipment and described myself after the male requested my name. He took my info and the following morning when I came in they targeted me and terminated my membership for personal feelings and bias and to retaliate. they allow others to do the same thing but if you complain or write a review they use discretion on how to handle you. refused to give me my "violation" and cancellation documents and it has been hours now and they still have not emailed me the documentation. I've come here 3-4 times a week for about 8 months switching between mornings to late nights and every worker I've encountered has always been friendly and helpful. The gym is pretty clean except sometimes after people use machines and don't clean up after themselves. Main problem is some machines stay out of commission for awhile. Other gym goers are a hit or miss. Some help push you and offer help while others let their alarms continually ring for 10 mins and don't put their stuff back. Just the worst service ever. My wife and I were members for several years but have not been going. When I finally started getting back to the gym, they force you to carry your phone for checking in even when they KNOW they have theft issues at that location. I forgot my phone once and they refused to let me have a 1 day pass. Told me go home and get it. They have my phone #, address and picture on file that they could use to verify me. Staff are very disrespectful, they are all kids they have no home training. My friends and I cars were broke into, parking lot is not safe to park your car. People should stay away from this gym in all Cost. read more

Walked in to inquiry about membership and view the location. As the two ingrates (teen workers) looked at me like a deer in headlights, they started arguing that neither one wanted to do it. Now keep in mind I'm 45, dressed up as I am coming from service so even though others looked homely you clearly could tell I am a professional! As I am bewildered by the antics taking place, I walk out and think how disgusted this experience was in my own neighborhood. I came in to this location to sign up for a gym membership and I saw the same girl who called me the N word at Walmart because I caught her trying to steal at the self checkout. She ran away before the police got there. Once she realized that I was the person she called the N word after catching her stealing at Walmart she began telling me that I had to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she is the manager. She then threatened to call the police on me if I didn't leave. Horrible Customer Service On last Friday, February 12th, I entered the Stone Mountain location (00642) with the desire to complete a personal workout session.  As I entered the gym and proceeded toward the front desk, I was greeted by a staff member. I shared with her my phone number and full name associated with my member account.  She immediately responded with "We don't have time to be entering a members number.  You must check-in with the PF app!"  My response to her was that I did not have the app my phone nor did I prefer loading it on my phone. Her response was "Well, you can not enter the gym without checking in with the app." I calmly responded that I would like to speak with a manager.  She responded in a disrespectful tone "Fine!" While waiting for the manager, another member entered the gym and checked in with a keytag card. The associate glanced over  to see my reaction, as she knew that her previous statement that "No one could enter the gym without checking in via the app!" was not valid. I did not responded to her verbally nor physically (body language). A few minutes later, Brianna walked over and identified herself as the manager.  I calmly explained to her that I was told that I cannot enter the gym if I did not sign in via the PF app.  I shared with her it is my desire not to load the app on my phone.  Her response was " Well, it is true."  Then, she told to tell me that it is company wide policy and it was outlined in my membership agreement in Section: 6. My response was that no where on the collateral material displayed that it is mandatory that every member must use the PF app.  Additionally, I stated that no where in the gym is it displayed that this the policy. Brianna rolled her eyes and her tone was very disrespectful. She offered no fair resolution regarding this matter. My response was very simple.  I told her that I want to immediately cancel my membership. Her response was like she really did not care... Here are the facts: 1) I have been an original PF Black card member since 2015 at Stone Mountain location. 2) The last time Planet Fitness provided me updated terms and conditions regarding my membership was 1/8/20. 3) The PF App was not introduced until 5/14/20, and no where in the terms and conditions does it state that it is mandatory for me to install/use in order to use my gym. Lastly, I implemented a health & wellness program for my company during the pandemic and agreed to cover the membership cost for twenty employees and selected Planet Fitness as our provider.  We provide them a monthly stipend to cover their PF Black card membership. Earlier today, I informed them of my horrible customer service experience, and that I have canceled my membership.  Finally, we will no longer cover their membership expense. Given the various challenges businesses are facing in these time, quality customer service is extremely important.  I simply wanted to complete a personal workout, but instead, I canceled my membership!
