The surplus of machines makes my workout very efficient. During my entire workout yesterday I only had to spend roughly one minute waiting for someone to finish using their machine. The lockers could be a bit cleaner but the machines are pristine. There are a few machines that are out of order but they don't prove to be a major inconvenience. read more

I visited this Planet Fitness location today for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The employee at the front desk Busu was rude, condescending, and dismissive when I asked a simple question. Rather than being helpful or welcoming, his tone and attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I've had positive experiences at my base location. So this behavior was surprising and not at all reflective of the brand's usual "Judgment Free Zone" values. I hope management addresses this, as front desk staff set the tone for members' experience and this fell far short of expectations. I love this planet fitness location it's actually 24 hours. We went there on Monday night so the crowd was not too busy. It's located in a little shopping center so there's lots of parking. The staff is young and friendly. They weren't tripping also about my guest using the black card amenities which I love. The bathroom was big and spacious the only thing, is the stalls could've been a bit more clean. Overall this is my favorite location. read more

Just joined planet fitness again because I wanted something different from my gym apartment. Very impressed with the cleanliness of this planet fitness. It's big and very bright. From what I can see the staff is making an effort to keep the gym routinely. I saw staff members roping off various equipment maybe every 20-30 minutes to clean. All the equipment seemed functional. This is definitely a great franchise and membership model if you're looking for general value for your dollar. Never a wait for machines, tidy, massage loungers are A+! With enough locations scattered about you're pretty likely to find a PF near your location. I just wish they offered some fitness classes- love those! read more

I want to preface this with, the staff was great and friendly, gym looked clean. However, I used to have a membership at planet fitness years ago and it was adequate. I just wanted to stop by today for a day pass but I guess they stopped doing that? I don't really like the facilities they have but it is nice to know that there was somewhere i could go to do cardio or work out when my gym was closed. idk when this stopped but it'd be nice to have again. So far for the past month, I have been working out here. Most of the staff are very helpful and nice. I love doing the 30 minute circuit. Each group may have different people or the same people come back. The motivation is felt, and the trainer is the best! He is able to modify for each workout level and modify for those with knee issues. I will say some days is hard to get use of the machines for most of the equipment due mechanical failure, like the massage chairs/beds, or some of the machines being overly used by other patrons. I do wish they have classes beyond other days of the week since some of the get filled up or you just can't make them. But either way I am seeing a difference ever since I started working out here. But again they should incorporate more classes especially in evening and extend beyond Monday through Wednesday. read more

The shares are valued at $66.99, but the equipment is in poor condition, requiring substantial replacement. Spending $24.99 on black members, half of the hydro message is malfunctioning. The bathroom is a complete mess and the shower area is excessively dirty, emitting unpleasant odors. It's crucial for the GM to address these issues promptly by hiring more employees or fixing the facilities to prevent the company from facing bankruptcy and a potential drop in share value. read more

This is a pretty decent location. The Black Card Spa is a pretty decent size and there is a lot of cardio equipment. If there is an area that could be improved, it would be the weight area. A few more options on the floor would take it up a notch. read more

I use different PF locations in the area. The staff at this location dont even acknowledge you or even say hi when you walk in. The 2 staff members at the desk always have their heads down completely buried in their phones. Gym is small and other locations are much more friendly. read more

I like this Planet Fitness. It's a fairly new location and big. The staff is very nice. There is lots of parking. Also, the demographics here is refreshing. It's a good mix of young and old, students and professionals, and all races with one goal in mind: improving their health. I felt right at home. If it were closer to me, I'd come here more often since I think its 2 steps above my home gym. read more

I am giving them a one star ONLY because they ceased having fitness classes. With no notice or forewarning. At first, we were told they are trying to replace the trainer we had that recently resigned, now rumor has it that management is contemplating rather to resume classes. I can only speak for the daytime fitness classes which members range from all ages, 50% of those members are retired and look forward to regular guidance & support from a trainer. The members in the class have built a repour with each other as well as the trainer and would be highly disappointed if classes cease. Michelle, who is a fine trainer, still at the Towson location, maybe management should consider her & other qualified personnel, before making the grave mistake of ceasing fitness classes at this location. Only been open a week but I was very impressed with the staff. Very nice and friendly. Facility is spotless and clean but my teen did notice some members NOT wiping down the equipment after using it. Maybe let people know that is proper gym procedure. I'll update this in a few weeks to see if they are maintaining these standards. Visit 9/10/2017 9/15/2018 Its been a year and I do see some new staff members but I still see some of the original, which tells me that they are doing somethings right behind the scene as well. (I like to see familiar faces ) It seems like members have caught on to cleaning equipment more consistently when I go, the facility is still very clean and I notice staff are cleaning the machines when I am in during the early mornings. I am very happy still one year in. Still have a happy teen as well...he has actually upgraded his membership so that he can bring friends with him now. Facility is clean, bright and inviting, not intimidating. No one bothers you. Staff are friendly and you can ask them questions. Bathrooms are well maintained (very clean ladies!) Parking lot is well lite in the early mornings, I feel very safe, cameras outside so I can see my car in the parking lot while I work out (you know car break ins at the gym are a common thing..don't let anyone tell you different!) No TV's on the treadmills, but I actually like the TV's overhead better so I can watch the multiple channels and switch between them! read more

Good gym, poor financial management. I was working in the area and had a black card membership but then when work took me away, I cancelled by letter as instructed by planet fitness. I then noticed charges appearing on my credit card despite cancelling for over 150+$. They said they never got my letter and those charges were just late fees and they couldn't refund it despite them telling me the complete opposite when I was initially cancelling. It made me feel like planet fitness is the McDonalds of gyms and I have no plans on going back. read more

This is the raggediest piece of crap gym ever. The staff is ignorant and rude. The management is a joke. They treat customers like trash and then they will still attempt to charge your card multiple times EVEN AFTER CANCELLATION. I cancelled my membership due to becoming a member at a gym closer to my home. Since then they've tried MULTIPLE TIMES to charge my card for various amounts. This is probably my 80th time calling and I get the run around and a ignorant excuse for customer service every time. I'm questioning who is the "manager" at this establishment because I've been told a million and one different things. If you don't say what they like to hear they will hang up. Trifling. Period. Recently signed up for a black card membership. My daughter and I frequent the location on the Alameda and the one downtown, but we decided to visit the one in Towson because we were visiting my mom. We walked into the gym and the lady at the front desk asked my daughter for her ID. I explained that she didn't have an ID, she's only 11, and explained that she had a profile in the system because the Alameda location already set her up. The front desk proceeded to tell me that without her birth certificate she couldn't use the gym. I've NEVER had to show her birth certificate before. We ended up driving to the Belair Rd location where, surprise, they didn't ask for ID or a birth certificate. They just asked for her name and telephone number, located her profile, and sent us on our way. I won't be back to the Towson location. There's always one employee that takes their job too seriously and starts doing the most. read more

Located in the "Hillendale" Shopping Center, this gym is just a little bit, different then some of the others I've been to, being that it seems to be run, by someone into fitness. Saw many health drinks being sold not seen at some other gyms. Healthy snacks, a program designed for a particular age group, (more to be said)... Located in a small local shopping center, which, there are one on each corner, at this intersection. A well known, supermarket chain open all night across the intersection for your convenience. Not sure what is with all the haters. The staff is friendly -- great you with a smile and tells you to have a nice day. The facility has everything you'd expect and the staff clean up after people and wipe equipment down regularly. Class instructors are friendly and motivating, and they are always supportive. Bathroom facilities are clean (could always be better but I blame the membership who do things like put trash into urinals), and the showers are clean. read more

The facility seemed well kept and clean. I was checked in by a smiling face. I like to use the 30 minute circuit, which is frequently being used incorrectly by people who use equipment and camp out or do sets etc. However, today a trainer was conducting class using some of the equipment. I watched for a minute and figured I could use one of the steps and rotate through the weight machines without disrupting the class. So I started my step portion. After that I headed toward the first weight machine. I was approached by the trainer who informed me she was conducting class and I would have to wait until her class was over. I asked how long that would be. She said about 4 minutes. I looked around and there were 8-10 women in the class, so I moved to. Treadmill nearby. While on the treadmill, I could read three different sign, clearly stating the area was solely for the 30 minute circuit. It is bad enough that members do not know the purpose of this area, but for an employee to not understand the purpose of the area is a little off putting. Management needs to train their staff better or notify members trainers can monopolize equipment whenever they choose. I love your facilities and the availability and have been to at least 7 different locations over the past few months. But I am disappointed with the attitude this practice at this location. read more
