Every time I've gone it's been great. There is a variety of equipment and it's very clean. The hours are also great.

Ive been with planet fitness for years, me and my wife stopped working out but I kept my membership still paying every month. Decided to cancel and they charged me an additional $69.00 for a membership that was already canceled and they said because I canceled even though it was before the date then it added a late fee!!! i signed up for a membership at the gym because it is the closest gym i know near where i'm living. i'm not particularly fastidious about what equipment i'd prefer for a gym facility to have, but do like to practice a decently wide-ranging push-pull-legs workout regiment, with the segment i'd started today being a push routine. therefore, for the chest, shoulder, and tricep exercises i'd usually include in such a routine, i'd ideally have access to a bench press rack, free weights, an adjustable free-weight bench, an ez bar, and a tricep rope pulley. and though, from what i'd seen, the facility has all that equipment besides the bench press rack, and there are four smith machines to supplement the absence of that sort of rack, i've still got to dock the gym a star for the importance some lifters place on free-weight bench press. that said, i'm appreciative of the access the facility offers to a stretching area, water fountain, and drink fridge, with the first of those being small but sufficient with other areas by the free weights for light stretching, and the last including a variety of beverages with protein drinks the same price for regular classic members such as me and black card members. read more

This is my favorite PF in the entire Tulsa / BA area. Staff is friendly, the gym is spacious & they keep it clean. Wish they opened just a little bit earlier or were even 24 hours, but that's my only complaint. Other than that, I love this gym. read more

Garbage. In order to cancel, you have to make the trip there in person or mail a hand-written letter. Yes, a hand-written letter in 2021. They justify this by saying that they need your physical signature, which is amazing since they're just fine with digital signatures on the website when you sign up. No squat racks, only smith machines, which are neither as safe nor as healthy as traditional barbell racks. Massage chairs are only available for ten minutes at a time, even when the gym is empty and there's no one else using them. Styrka Training on 71st & Sheridan is $20 a month, open 24 hours, and actually has the equipment you need to get the body you want. Don't let these guys continue to get away with their childish business practices. Give your business to someone else. Edit: The fact that management just responded to this complaint by posting an advertisement for their app should tell you everything you need to know about the company. read more

When I was looking for a gym, the number one thing I was looking for was a good price. At ten dollars a month for a basic membership, Planet FItness totally delivered. At such an affordable price, you can imagine that this place might be a bit packed. Not to fear, there is ample equipment, so the machine you want is always available. AMAZING place to workout and get your healthy life on track..everything is so clean and the staff at the front are so nice! Great place to workout. You can watch TV with earphones..or your music..there is a room with equipment that has a timer. .you workout and the timer turns red then you can rest or switch machines then it turns green for go! I have been a member of Planet Fitness for over a year. I finally had it when they wanted to charge me $45 to downgrade my membership to basic from the black card. I wasn't using the benefits so why pay an extra $11 a month. When I upgraded to the black card I was told it would not cost me anything if I wanted to go back to the basic membership. In addition to charging me for downgrading my membership, it was difficult to get a treadmill that was WORKING during peak hours. read more

Also lots of broken equipment and staff who don't seem to care when you inform them that a machine isn't working they rarely even put up an out of order sign. I left this gym because of the staff. Childish, obnoxious straight-out-of-high-school losers who could not care less about customer service. The equipment is okay and the clientele is just fine. I would have stayed if I hadn't felt like I was trying to work out at a frat house. I now pay over three times and much for better everything and I'm happy to do so. If $10 is all you can afford and you can put up with the jerks they hire, then go for it. If you can afford a little more and want to be treated decently, shell out the extra cash. I usually go early in the morning and it has never been crowded when I'm there. I like the circuit room because it is convenient and makes it quicker to get in a full body workout. They also have a nice about room. It is better lit than some of the other Planet Fitness gyms I have been to. read more

This gym is not bad, but it is definitely not as nice as the Planet Fitness I am used to going to on the South side. There is plenty of equipment and a decent selection of work out machines, but it just doesn't have the vibrant feel I am used to. It's not quite as clean or cheery. They demand you come in to cancel your membership, even if you only signed up for a month or a year, it automatically renews if you don't specifically go into the gym and sign some form. Fitness -- 1 star Feb 21, 2018 12:15pm I never do reviews on businesses. This is my first time. I felt like I needed to voice my opinion where others may not have but wanted to. I visited one of your locations yesterday to take a tour and inquire about starting a membership. I really liked your facility and was impressed with the Beauty Angel and the fact that you have Massage Chairs and a Hydro Massage. Just these 3 things alone sold me on the idea of joining your club and considering the Black membership. I sat down with one of your reps who give me a tour of your facility to discuss my options. I was offered 3 different levels of membership, $10. $15 or $21. The first choice has the option to pay monthly or you can choose to pay for 12 months in full. The $10 plan requires a 12 month commitment with a $58 buy out if you chose not to stay for the full 12 month period. $15 plan does not have a 12 month commitment or buy out. On the first two options, If you would like to drop in to visit any other Planet Fitness locations you would be required to pay additional dollars to use those facilities. The Black Card is $21 a month with a 12 month commitment and a $58 buy out if you choose not to stay the full 12 months. Which offers full access to use everything in the gym and the convenience to access over 1500 other locations nationwide with no additional entrance fees to use the gym. Planet Fitness advertises that there is no contract to join. To my surprise this is not the case. Commitment for 12 months?? Still sounds like a type of contract to me. I become very sadden to find out that I could not just pay cash each month or only pay for a few months at a time. In order to join you must have a bank account or a major credit card on file so that they can charge your account on the 17th of every month. There is a yearly membership fee of $39 you will be charged within the first 60 days of joining. I personally choose not have a bank account or major credit card due to all the fraudulent acts these days. However, I do have a pay card through my employer. I was told they would not accept my debit card as a method of payment. I offered to pay cash for the entire year up front for the Black membership and was also shot down. You have the option to pay cash for 12 months with your first plan so why wouldn't you allow someone to pay cash for any of your other plans upfront. This just doesn't make sense to me. It is not good business to advertise telling people you can join for as little as $10 a month with no contract, then turn around and tell a person they have to at least commit to 12 months. Whoever joins your fitness club is obligated to continue to pay every month whether they are still using your facility or not. I was told if you do not pay each month that you will automatically be sent to collections with no questions asked and that you're company doesn't even make courtesy calls at best. So, if you advertise that a person can join with no contract, but in the same sense tell them that they have to pay a yearly membership fee of $39 and commit to at least 12 months or pay a $58 buy out, don't you think this is contradictive and deceiving. I understand you are a business and you have to make money to run and operate it, but it's not right to lure people in and tell them something totally different than what you are advertising. For example ~ on your first plan offered for $10, if I would only want to visit your facility for 3 months. I would have already paid $30 plus a $39 membership fee and the $58 buy out. This is a total of $126 which is already more than paying for a full 12 month period. With knowing all of the above mentioned, I still offered to pay cash for 12 months which included the $39 membership fee. This would be to the understanding your company does not give refunds and it would be my loss if I chose not to come to exercise each month. I was still told no. You only accept a person if they have a bank account or a major credit card to be able to join. No month to month, No prepaid cards, No debit cards, No payment in full only for the $10. But if a customer should not have the money in their account or happen to close it, and you did not receive their monthly payment, you automatically send them to collections. But for a person who is willing to pay in full, you turn them away? That is guaranteed money. Right? This is like punishing someone and telling them they are not entitled the use of your facility. Seriously, where is the logics in this?? I understand there are so many different reason why your company chooses to auto draft straight from the customer's account verses the headache of having to accept payments for each individual member when payment is due each month. I get it! But, it's also good business to make exceptions to accommodate the few of us that have every intention of paying and understands your company stipulations when paying in full. Not everyone's situation is the same. read more

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for years. My wife has another membership and we pay for a friend to have one in OKC. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PLANET FITNESS in the Tulsa Area. I have tried to call the owner or district manager for 2 weeks now. They lie to you and tell you the number is on the website, then they tell you there isn't one and then they tell you they're not allowed to give it out, only after you get extremely mad at them. At the location on 51st a third, one row of their treadmills have been out since July of 2015. They keep saying an electrician is looking at them, they're still out and yet they open another location on 71st and Riverside. All they want is your money, once they have that they won't call you back if you have a problem, they just don't give a damn. Their facility is always out of paper towels to clean the machines and I have caught morning managers asleep in there all the time! BTW I have left several messages over the last couple of weeks and didn't one call back! I do know that a guy name Jorge Roldan is a owner of some sorts, but I am sure he is the one instructing all of his people not to give out his number and e won't return call! read more
