I work in the Fitness space and recently moved to Tulsa. Enjoy checking out different gyms and have done so many times while traveling. Been checking out different gyms in Tulsa and this more of an informative review. VASA Fitness model is the Planet Fitness without the Lunk with amazing low cost membership prices and a focus in selling lots of memberships while delivering everything you could want from a big box gym opened 4AM to 12 AM. This gym has it All! Separate cardio Machines section, at the time of my visit the rowers were still being set up and I found out that the leak on the roof has been there for a while with rowers being rain on. This seems a bit neglectful and is the only reason why I'm giving it a four at this point Two functional Fitness areas with loads of equipment some very nice medicine balls, loads of Kettlebells up to 88 lbs which typically are not found in Big box gyms. NightClub vibe Spin bike studio for classes. Barre and Group Fitness Studio Pool and Hot tub Basketball Courts Large and clean Lockeroom with showers Huge DB area with Heavy DB's Large Machine area with everything from Cables, to Plate loaded machines. Massage Tables Personal Training Pad Best of all for me a separate area with 8 Olympic weightlifting/ Powerlifting with squat racks and bumper plates. The one thing I wasn't clear on but also did not see any signs saying not to do was dropping weights for The olympic Weighlifter/Crossfitter/Powerlifter. I did do some snatches and Clean and Jerks but they were light and I brought them down with control. The reason why I said I wasn't clear on that is because lots of gyms will have Platforms and bumper plates and still have a no dropping policy or members that will complain, I hope that's not the case here because this the right set up for it and it's separate from any other equipment. Overall great gym with everything you could want. I was there 7:30 AM- 9 AM on their Free trial pass and it wasn't busy.

This is such a great gym! Everything is new, shiny and clean. You get a lot of bang for your buck! Their cycle room is very spacious. They also have a cross-functional training area that has mats, weights, balls, and rollers. They even have a Fitness Cinema with a schedule of movies every day! There's free wi-fi for members. One of their best things they offer is the Hydro-Massage Lounge. They have 10 beds available and you can check one out for 10 minutes at a time. It is MAGICAL. This alone is worth the membership! PLUS they have a sauna, spa and steam room. You can get a FREE Gym Trial Pass to try it out for a day. You can also get a Free Class pass to try any of their group classes. They have a huge variety: Body Pump, Cycle, Body Combat, Yoga, Aqua Fitness, Hip Hop, Zumba, Barre Fitness, Cardio Circuit, and more! There's also personal training available if you want a personalized workout plan and they offer a free session as well. They have three different memberships. The basic membership is $9.99. It includes access to one location, month to month, and the weights & cardio areas. The Fitness membership is $21.99. It includes access to all locations, month to month, weight & cardio areas, basketball, racquetball, swimming pool, aerobics & group fitness, tanning, kid care and guest privileges. The Vasa Fit membership is $49.99. It includes everything on the Fitness one plus Unlimited TEAM Training. When I signed up, they had a $10 fee to start, plus the first month. They also charge a $50 price-guarantee fee on the third month to lock in your monthly fee rate. There is a $25 cancellation fee if you cancel before 6 months of signing up. Also, for only $10 a month, you can add two additional guests! They have an app that you need to download because they ask to scan your barcode when you come in. The class schedule is also on the app for easy access. It also keeps tracks of your workouts and you get points each time to redeem for swag. They always have special deals available, so check their Facebook out or ask the staff!

However, this is on the other side of Planet Fitness, it seems like a hole in the wall place. Then when I walked in... It was clean, it smelled good, not like when you walk into an old gym and everything smells of sweat and who knows what. The machines were well maintained and the art work was awesome. It was 10AM on a Saturday and no one was there. There is access to the gym 24/7 with a membership ($30 or $35 a month). They have cardio machines and a lot of weight equipment. I was nervous but ready to go! I met with a personal trainer since I am no where near my goal. His name was Judge. HOLY, there was no messing around. We got to work and worked the entire 45 minutes! There was little rest and he kept my muscles and me focused on the task at hand. Super kind and very motivating. By the time I left I couldn't wait for the next session. No nerves, no intimidation just motivation! I noticed the gym didn't have a Yelp review, but I am telling you if you are looking for a low key gym, who surrounds you with good people and good equipment or if you need a trainer ($35/session for 1 (group rates too)) OR you are into competing, want to reach a goal, etc.... this is the place to come. Check it out!!! As my trainer said, "Everyone starts somewhere". So, start at The Jungle "Gym"!

There is plenty of space and equipment to accommodate everyone comfortably. - I love that parking is quick and easy. (I was a tad worried about the 71st street traffic when I initially saw the address... but it's actually a bit removed from mall traffic... so the traffic had never been an issue for me.) - I love the 24/7 access pass. As a female, I feel very safe... even later in the evening if I'm the only one there. It's very secure. - Everyone's been very friendly, considerate... and everyone is REAL... I workout with REAL people (they don't look "plastic" or "photoshopped")... they are real people who take their goals seriously. Everyone you meet at Styrka is there to better themselves... and it's totally fine wherever YOU may be in that self improvement process. Even if you're just starting out, or it's been a while... and you're trying to get back into the swing of things... you WILL feel welcomed and supported... no matter your skill level. - It's very clean and tidy. The bathrooms are always clean and people are really good about tidying up after themselves. Love that! - Another cool thing about this place, if you have a question... people around are happy to help. (That might be the best part... that Styrka is a community...) It's not impersonal... you don't get lost in the crowd... And you actually get to put names with smiling faces. One final tip: If you are newer to the gym or if the correct form has always been a bit of a mystery to you... it's worth investing in some sessions with one of the trainers that work out of Styrka. Even just a little bit of coaching will boost your knowledge and confidence immensely. Don't suffer in silence. Having an expert guiding you puts you on the fast track to RESULTS! Hope this helps! :)

Glaring discrepancies: - the men's bathroom stalls don't stay locked efficiently and have a peek-a-poo gap you can use both eyes to see through. They'll spend money on fake plants, yet won't fix what's needed (this applies to other issues as well) - so far this summer, the outside "hot tub" is either disgusting, jets don't work, flooded with kids under 12 (there's a rule against that), or it's closed off - when it's busy, you'd swear no one in the greater Tulsa area is going to any other gym at that moment - it's succumb to the "Premium" disease. Some things you can't do unless you pay more - and a general membership is already pricey - if you want to play pickleball - good luck. They change the schedule of when the courts are available for whatever types of players. If it's free play, you might end up waiting awhile before you play again. There's only 3 courts. That's all for now. I'm sure there's other issues. Those are just from my lens. Two stars simply because it has so many services. Think "Costco" of gyms.
