When I go back to a gym, I always find myself coming back to Planet Fitness. Truthfully, it is the most convenient to my location, but I always feel comfortable here. There is a nice mix of clients that frequent the gym, and it just has a nice, laid back vibe for the most part. This location recently got a bit of a glow up! I didn't recognize some areas when I came back, but it was in a great way. They incorporated a section of free weights that before only consisted of dumbbells, cables and machines, so this was a welcome addition. They also brought in a lot of new machines to replace the aging equipment. I noticed just today that some of the machines have digital screens that count the number of reps you complete and the amount of rest time in between sets. It's automatic. You don't even have to program it or push start, etc... I really only use the weights, as I get plenty of cardio at work, but they do have a decent selection of cardio equipment as well. They also have tanning beds and hydro massage therapy, but again, I can't speak to these, as I don't utilize them. If you're thinking about getting back to the gym for the new year and starting some healthy habits, this is a good place to do just that in a variety of ways to keep you from getting bored or stale. read more

beyond pissed! recently they updated workout equipment. I prefer isolating workouts and they have completely removed every machine that I use! The new preacher curl machine, now it's a "dependent curl machine" most likely meaning that it depends if your L4 can tolerate the over extended awkward position! read more

The gym is sub-par for a typical planet fitness. There are only three bench press/squat press apparati. But the customer service is great! I was travelling from Illinois for business, and the associate let me work out there for the week, without having to upgrade to a black card membership. I appreciate the cool staff! read more

My friend and I have been coming here for several months and we enjoy it a lot. The in house trainer Jonathan is friendly and knows what he's doing. We love how clean it is and that it's rarely busy. I love the circuit room, rowing machines and battle ropes. Of course I went for the black card membership at $22 a month for gym use, tanning, red light therapy and the hydro massage beds you can't beat it. I have a couple of favorite employees that I love to see Sarah, John and Randy always have a smile and friendly word of encouragement for us! I quit All American Fitness to go here, after 35 years. Great clean gym, hydro massage beds, massage chairs. Best part is I'm able to bring unlimited guests for unlimited times. This alone got a couple to sign up for black card themselves. I can go to any PF in the world at no extra charge!! I watch TV while biking 25 min, then do the 30 min fitness track. The only thing I miss is the pool and hot tub. They are the best value in working out that I've ever had in 50 years! read more

My husband and I have been going to Planet Fitness for about 2 months now, so I feel like it's the right time to give a review. Clean facility with lots of equipment to choose from. Friendly staff most of the time (we usually see the same 2 girls and they're nice, but some of the guys are too busy messing with their phones to greet people). Great variety of equipment and a TON of cardio machines. I counted 26 ellipticals, at least that many treadmills, 8 stationary bikes, 12 or so ARC trainers, and at least 2 of each weight machine. They also have regular dumbbells and a few cable machines. They have several cleaning stations set up for you to use throughout the gym, which is great. The locker rooms are clean, but I haven't utilized the lockers so I can't comment on those. I do know that you need to bring your own lock if you choose to use one. They pipe in music but sometimes the selection is kind of slow. If you don't like what they're playing, just plug your headphones into one of the cardio machines and pick your favorite radio station. Or check out one of the shows playing on one of their 14 TVs. Saturday morning is full of news on the TVs but at least one has something fun (you know I'm all about Saturday morning cartoons). You honestly can't beat the price for everything that's available for you to use. The regular membership is $10 a month plus tax (no contract) and includes use of all of the equipment. The Black Card membership is $20 a month plus tax (1 year contract) and includes use of all of the equipment, tanning, red light therapy, massage chairs, and the hydro massage tables. Plus you can bring a guest - every single time if you want to. There is no limit to how many times a guest can go with you, but they don't get to use the extra Black Card perks (tanning, etc). My husband and I opted for the Black Card membership (just one) with him as the primary. No problems thus far, and doing it that way instead of getting 2 regular memberships is actually saving us money in the long run (just one yearly fee instead of two - which is $39 per membership). I have been a member of this gym since January. It is really nice. Clean! Friendly staff! Free tanning, nice locker rooms, and large selection of equipment. They offer classes too. They are open 24/7 from Monday to Friday. The judgment free zone is nice too, because it doesn't feel like high school gym class. I have never seen so many elliptical machines to choose from and T.V.s. Music playing too for while you workout so if you forget your iPod, relax. I would highly recommend trying this gym if you live in the area. The memberships are $10 and $20 a month. read more

Every time I go there for the 30 min workout I have to workout around 20 somethings hanging out on the machines set aside for the 30 mins of time I have to try and keep fit. Why do you advertise a workout that doesn't exist? I talked to the employees (who are 20 something) just more waisted time. You make the gym unfriendly to anyone over 30. What a shame!! read more

Love that they remodeled. It was very much needed. Also, they upgraded their tanning beds which has been nice too. Love the machines! They always have plenty open. The hydro bed is 10 minutes of pure bliss (it alone is worth the monthly membership fee). Only downfall is no classes or childcare. read more

I allowed my daughter to join planet fitness when she was 17 against my better judgement. The people at the Broken Arrow location apparently have accounting issues and find mysterious ways to screw her out of money. They say they don't have a card on file to charge for her membership and add all these bogus late fees and yet here they come back and charge the card for fees. If you have the card number than how can she have late fees. Dustin Dunkel is the Mgr at that location but doesn't want to return our calls and is always seems to be with someone when you try to contact them. We've placed 7 calls to the man with no answer back. Of course all his help can't make any changes without him and he won't return calls. I've been a Black Card Member for several years. Planet Fitness is a good basic, no-frills gym. It's hard to beat the price and benefits of the Black Card. I love that I can bring a friend whenever I want and can go to multiple locations. I think this particular location is showing it's age a bit. I've been to the other Planet Fitness at 91st & Memorial and I like the layout a lot better. They have an area for stretching, a separate abs area and a separate leg area. I also wish they had more room for free weight work. But hey you really can't complain for the price! read more

I have been a member of this gym for almost 4 years. In the past there was a high turnover rate for staff but it seems to have slowed down. The current staff is very friendly and efficient. I like to go early in the morning. I really like that this gym has a lot of cardio machines and also has the circuit room. I also enjoy the massage chairs. I do wish that Planet Fitness had classes like spin classes or yoga classes. Overall for the price and convenience I think it's a great gym. read more

I stopped in on 2/3/2018 and cancelled our membership. A couple days later I get my bank statement with a $42.28 charge for the Annual Membership fee that had been taken out on 2/1/2018. I tried calling the number listed on the website (918) 806-6688, got a recording the number is no longer a working number. I seen an email address so I sent an e-mail on 2/5/2018 requesting the funds returned to our acct., no response back. I find a (888) 237-9905 so I tried it, the young man quickly informed me "membership's are non-refundable....PERIOD". I requested to speak to a manager and was informed "memberships are non-refundable.... then asked if I had anything else he needed to address..... then hung up. We have been members of Planet Fitness for a couple of years now and have enjoyed being able to go at anytime. My wife and I are retired now and appreciate that we always feel welcomed and go several times a week (almost). That is our goal but sometimes family takes priority. We have been able to strengthen our bodies with consistency as was proven during a recent trip to Europe. Traveling with eight pieces of luggage on planes, trains and buses the physical requirements were demanding but both my wife and myself were able to keep up and thoroughly enjoy the trip. Without having been working out at the gym I doubt that the success of the trip would have been the same. Our thanks to the management and especially Dustin, the general manager, who does an excellent job in his responsibilities and makes us feel very comfortable.
