I was in the market for some new ink when I came in to this clean and functional shop. I was instantly greeted by a friendly front desk person. I didn't catch her name but she was rocking an Ice Cube tshirt. I got paired up with Taylor. There are two Taylors there. She said they call her Tay Tay to avoid confusion . She is AWESOME! Not heavy handed at all. She was extremely thorough with the stencil process and continued checking in with me throughout the entire process. She mentioned that she has 16 years of experience and it shows. The conversation and process was all really good. The vibe was great and that's always important to me. I would come back for her and recommend to others. If I had some take aways is that it was SO HOT in there. The front desk worker did bring in a fan which helped but WoW. My and my fiancé both came here for our lobe piercings and they were very reassuring and gave us a bunch of tips for ear care! They have a really nice waiting area that really relaxes you before you get the piercings. If they were this good at piercings, I might just go back to get a tattoo too!! read more

Taylor was able to get me in same day that I called. He did a great job of making sure my tattoo placement was perfect. He adjusted it several times before inking to ensure I would be happy. He also accommodated me to ensure my tat was completely covered (on my calf) and would be ok the next day when I did a run that was going to have a lot of muddy puddles. I got my first tattoo here last month. I have nothing but positive things to say about Planet Ink and especially Josh Driscoll. Josh was very professional and really did a good job communicating with me and letting me know what to expect and how the process was going. As you can see his artwork is exceptional and the tattoo is damn near identical to the photo he used for a guide. This might be my last and only tattoo, but if I do decide to get another, you better believe that I'll be looking Josh up. This place has gone downhill. I brought my daughter several weeks ago to get a piercing. It was 6:00 and they closed at 7. They said she needed her birth certificate so we said we would be back in 20 minutes - we spoke directly to the piercer and told her we would run home and straight back. We came back 20 minutes later and the other staff told us the piercer had left, not sure why she didn't just ask us to come another day if she knew she wasn't going to stay. Against my better judgment we stopped back in today to purchase some 14k gold jewelry. The jewelry has been on display for several months, yet when we went in today the guy told us only the piercer knows the price and they have no way to sell it unless she's there. No offer to call her and ask, just a shrug and a "maybe you can come back Monday or drive to Kennesaw to our other location". I'm done read more

I had my ears pierced a while back ago, the person was very courteous, gentle and informative. I hardly felt a thing. I was looking to get a tattoo and since I had such a great experience the first time I figured I would give them my business for the second time. When I walked into the shop the second time, I was greeted by no one despite having a employee laid on the couch for a good 5 minutes before asking me what he was able to help me with. I felt like I was encroaching on his "nap/relax time. At that time I was beyond frustrated with the lack of customer service, so I decided to walk out. If I could give this place 0 stars I would for piercing. The nose piercer has very little patience and had an attitude as she was being annoyed. My girlfriend attempted to get her nose pierced twice there because they kept falling off a week after getting pierced. The first time she was given an L shaped piercing which is known to fall off and is not recommended for first time. A week later it fell out. My girlfriend went back and asked for a flat back because she wanted the most sturdy one. She got a threaded one which still isn't the most sturdy and guess what? Less than 5 days later it fell right out. I would understand if she touched it a lot and got it caught on things. She treated that piercing like a baby and only touched it when it needed to be cleaned out. It's ridiculous that after trying two times and buying different piercings this shop's answer was "sorry not our fault you can pay to try it again later" I'm sure this place is great for tattoos but I would NEVER recommend it for a piercing. read more

Two friends had recommended Todd Glidewell at Planet Ink to me. I'm so glad I reached out to him and made an appointment. We messaged back and forth quite a bit before my appointment about the design I wanted, as well as availability for scheduling. I really liked how Todd was devoted to ensuring I would like the tweaks he made to the design I wanted. And when I came in, he was very patient with me as I asked for it to be re-sized. And re-sized. And re-sized. More than half a dozen times. He was even patient and friendly when I asked that the tattoo be re-positioned on my wrist and he had to clean off my skin and start over. LOVE this place. This is one of the nicest places I've been in a long time. The shop was nicely laid out. They have the semi private rooms which I loved as opposed to the open floor plan of many places. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and asked how someone could help me. I was a walk-in customer but I knew who I wanted to meet with even if just for a consult. (I just took a chance there was availability) Everyone was super nice and I was able to be fit in. Todd is the most wonderful man. Super easy to work with and made me feel completely comfortable. His skills are amazing. His are style was exactly what I was looking for. I want to give this place a good review; I really do. Really friendly staff. I came here for a piercing but it fell out as they were doing it so they had to do it again. They gave me $10 off for that. But then the jewelry fell out while I was just sitting around about an hour later. I know these things happen sometimes, but this thing just wasnt in right.
