I have been to other salons on occasion for pedicures and manicures and to be honest, I haven't found the technicians to be be as thorough and meticulous as the ones at Glamour. I also look for good sanitation since the chance of spreading germs is a possibility. They are careful to clean and sanitize before and after the appointments. This was by far my best manicure/pedicure experience since I've moved to GA. My boyfriend has taken me to multiple nail salons and they were pale in comparison to what I was accustomed to before living in Miami, however, that has all changed after he took me to Glamour Salon. Helen, my estician, spent an exorbitant amount of time making sure that my nails were perfect. She was very personable and I immediately felt at home. This place is managed extremely well. I tried out the salon because it was close to my home and I read the previous four star reviews. I made an appointment for a pedicure and my technician was Loan. Everyone was very friendly and attentive to my needs. Loan paid extra attention to a spot in my foot that I requested. I hate saying anything bad about the hair stylist because she was extremely friendly but, unfortunately, the services are not worth what they cost. I went in because my regular hair stylist had something come up and I had a rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend. I showed the hairstylist a picture on Pinterest (obviously it won't be identical, I'm not naive, just giving her an idea of what I wanted). The picture was a Long Bob with Layers. As for the color, my hair was super dark brown so I asked for dark highlights that would blend nicely (like a chocolate brown, etc). I showed her a picture of the color too. **I should have known that it was not a professional cut and color when: a) she didn't use foils until after putting the color on (so the dye was dripping onto other parts of my hair) b) she used her comb on an angle to attempt a "bob" So, anyways, 2 1/2 hours after I entered and sat down, I stood up with bleach blond highlights in my hair (which the stylist proclaimed were "carmel" highlights) and they were chunked (which I could have done myself). As for the cut, my hair is a DISASTER, It's all uneven in the back and it is DEFINITELY NOT a long bob or layered. All of this cost me $110 with tip. But now, I have to go to my hairstylist next week and pay more money for her to fix it. Mind you, I have to go to a rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend with jacked up hair that I could have done myself at home. No skills in haircutting, whatsoever. Also, on a side note, they have a college student working there that said "that's ret*rded" at least 5 times in front of my and the stylist. That is unacceptable language ANYWHERE let alone the workplace. I am a behavior therapist for individuals with autism, and I was absolutely appalled. This girl was also badmouthing her employer in front of me (a customer) and she got her nails done and straightened her hair on the clock in front of customers. A total waste of time, and bad costumer service. I called and made an appointment. I spoke to three different women at the front desk before I could actually get a confirmed appointment time. When I got there I was told the nail technician that was supposed to do my nails spontaneously quit right before my appointment, and now no one could take me. No apologies were offered. I was told I could come back in the morning if I wanted. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

This place is beautiful, perfect for a spa day, I got a facial and a pedi. I loved the way the esthetician explained every product she was putting on my face, the products she use smell fantastic, had nice relaxing music. I was able to release all stress during this section and came out glowing. Then I got a pedi done. Let me tell you they do the perfect French, I was captured by the technique they use so it comes out perfect, my toes look perfect and so clean. Everyone in the facility was so nice and welcoming. Don't let the word spa fool you.....this is not a spa but rather a nail salon the does hair. I scheduled a pedi when I couldn't get in to my regular place, thinking it was more of a spa environment (like my regular spot). I was very disappointed when I walked in to see it looked just like any nail place in a publix plaza. The pedi's are done in a separate room crammed with 6 chairs, the upside was at least you were not on display like a lot of other places. The girl that did my pedi was quite rough and didn't do a great job. When I got home I realized that the bottom of my feet were a bit rough (from the scrubbing, not callous) and the polish was not applied well. The prices are not bad ($28 for spa pedi), but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

The man that cut my hair was nice, friendly but unfortunately showed poor to amateurish skills- I walked into this place and apparently they do nails, hair and I think massages. I got the impression that hair is just something they decided to throw in as a service but that they don't do well! The salon had an active manicure section and the hair section was small and in a corner- that should have been a red flag but the guy was nice so I thought let's give it a try. He tried to listen to what I was looking for so I sat there- I noticed that the brush he was using on me looked beat up or worn out later I noticed that the brush was thrown in with other dirty brushes full of other client's hair- I was disgusted to think the brush he had been using on me was probably not sanitized! The hair cut was not good quality- after 6 minutes on the chair I felt I was with a dog groomer rather than a hair stylist! I decided to finish the experience because I kept hoping in the end it would be good but ultimately it wasn't. The set up, workstation and equipment used in the hair section of this "Glamour" salon was substandard! I DON'T recommend that anyone spend their hard earned money there unless maybe they want a manicure! read more
