Super cheap and great spot to eat if you're downtown. Garlic knots were cheap and delicious but I wouldn't get the sauce to dip them in since it was 50 cents and they barely filled half the container with watery sauce. I was hungry so wanted something before the night started. I got a slice of white mushroom spinach pizza. They put it in the oven asap to heat up. Staff was all very friendly! However the pizza was not good, not for me. Mushrooms from a can. Pizza was so bland I wish I had asked for salt onto put on it. The overall quality is comparable to "arcade pizza" or chains like "Chuck E Cheese" and doesn't live up to the standard of authentic New York pizza. Despite some shortcomings, the pies are large and filling, and the garlic knots are tasty. However, improvements are needed in the crust and seasoning of the sauce to truly stand out as quality pizza. The location is within walking distance of Wall St. Inside, it is narrow and there is no seating area. It caters mostly to the late night drinkers, half who are stumbling as they move up in line. Although it's open late, they only sell single slices after midnight and won't customize them, which is disappointing. The base of the pizza pie was slightly soggy near the center, causing it to stick to the pizza box. The staff standing by the oven initially take your order, they are usually friendly and have a smile on their faces. The staff by the register more often seem upset before you speak to them and aggressive. This negative customer service particularly describes the manager on duty, he seemed disinterested in taking orders and looked like he did not want to be there. I do like this place. It was a good quality slice for a decent price. Not at all greasy like the other ones around the block. They are also open very late. But be prepared to wait a half hour in line if you plan on visiting them after 2am. The only two thing keeping me from going 5 stars is the practice of charging for credit cards in a shady way. They just take the payment and never disclose the fee. There is no signage in store. I'm fact all signage says the opposite. That the prices on the display are tax included. So that $3.50 slice should be $3.50, Not $3.67. There is a disclaimer on their website true, but not in house. And they are not to charge on debit cards on the visa network which they do. "A merchant must provide clear disclosure to the merchant's customers of the merchant's surcharging practices at the point of interaction which shall include the amount of the surcharge and the dollar amount of the surcharge on the transaction receipt provided by the merchant to its customers." MasterCard TOS And per Visa TOS, "Limit surcharging to credit cards only (debit cards and prepaid cards cannot be surcharged) and limit the amount to your merchant discount rate for the applicable credit card surcharge. I'm from Philly where good pizza was pretty easy to come by but living in FL I've realized that was a luxury. This place has the huge face sized slices, cheese that oozes and sauce that's packed with flavor. Situated right in the heart of the bar scene downtown, this place is a welcome sight to anyone that has had a bit too much to drink. Big neon lights to draw the inebriated in like moths to a flame. I'll also preface this review by saying that at the time, I was loving the food here. It was only once I sobered up a bit that I was able to look at eveything more objectively. I ordered the pineapple pizza and the chicken bacon ranch. It was my FIRST taste of pineapple on pizza and I have to say, I was very underwhelmed. The pizza itself was decent, but the pineapple chunks were so small and scarce that they barely added anything to the flavor. I'm still willing to give the famed Hawaiian slice another chance because it wasn't bad, but the slice here wasn't anything to write home about. Chicken Bacon Ranch is my favorite pizza ever, but this one didn't even come close to my favorite Cali CBR slice of all time in upstate New York. Still very tasty, but I've just had so much better. Ironically, the actual bake on the pizza itself is near perfect, and the exact texture and crispiness I would want in a pizza slice... so props to this place for getting that right. The garlic knots were pretty average though. They are soft, which is a big plus, but they are unevenly coated with garlic so not every bite is quite the same. It feels weird being so critical of a place that is clearly meant to service those looking for a quick bite to eat after a night of partying. If I looked at it for what it is, I would give this 5 stars. It does it's job. But I'm assuming there will be some people that come here that can walk in a straight line, and for those people I can only give this place 3 stars. So since I consider myself a connoisseur of the pizza pie the best damn pizza in all of the Winter Park/Orlando area is this little pizzeria known as Planet Pizza which is nestled in the middle of Downtown Orlando off of Orange Avenue. When I say that Planet Pizza is the best pizza you well ever have in all your life or just in the Orlando area it's the fucking truth. Planet Pizza has a great variety of pizza pies to choose from like the original cheeses all the way up to the Bianca pizza which is a white sauce base pizza. The pizza is so fluffy tasting and they use the best ingredients and every slice you get is well portioned and the prices for their food will not break your wallet. Since Planet Pizza is located in the middle of Downtown Orlando area it's a great place to eat after going out to the Bar/Club. When your drunk you usually want to find the best place possible that serves you food that taste amazing and that place is Planet Pizza. Saw this place one night while heading to another restaurant around 1am. It caught my attention because of how late it was open, and the fact that it looked like pizza places I've gone to I NY and SF. Bookmarked it and stopped by the next day. The pizza slices are HUGE, and cheap. The garlic rolls looked homemade, and everything was no frills. I got the buffalo chicken with a garlic roll and sweet tea, and my friend got the bbq chicken, pepperoni calzone and a sweet tea. We spent maybe $14 total. A couple turn offs: not sure if peppers or parmesan cheese is a hot commodity, but didn't like the fact that the container were chained to the trash can, so you had to stand in front of the trash while using these. I opted not to. Also, the napkins are also right above the trash, and everything is in the same area you'd put your trays. The place is relatively clean, but I wouldn't eat anything off the table, and didn't touch my food until I sanitized my hands. Speaking of sanitation, there is no bathroom. Well, there IS, but there is also a sign that says it is out of order. Looks like it's been that way for a whole, as there were boxes of soda and a chained fence blocking the hallway. There isn't a ton of seating room, as there were 4 other people (not includibff my friend and I), and they pretty much took up every available seat. Did I mention that the person serving us grabbed our slices with his bare hands before tossing them in the oven? I wasn't too put off by this, as they food was being cooked/reheated, but they should definitely invest in a pie server and some gloves. read more

I came here again with my family to once again indulge in Planet Pizza. I got the White (cheese) pizza with the garlic butter on the crust. I was not as impressed this time around as I was last time. Sad about the change of heart but I just didn't feel like the piece of pizza was worth 5 stars. Maybe because it was a cheese pizza this time versus pepperoni. Maybe it was the strong crunch of the crust. Or maybe it was the cheese. I honestly don't know what changed my mind but I felt compelled to change my review. This is a unique pizza store small but we'll know Downtown Orlando. Sits almost on the corner of Washington and Orange Ave. There lunch specials are good. 2 slices and a soda drink $6.00. They just remodeled the place inside to allow more seating. Parking can be a little difficult. They only have one available near the front of the restaurant but it's only for 15 min..Make sure you have time to wait for the parking to open. Lots of choices to pick from. read more

This is a great place for take out, but it's not well situated for dine in. You may stand at a long counter & eat beside other people who are either waiting on orders or eating as well. The pizza is a bit overpriced, but if you've got a craving for pizza this will do. I'd give it five stars if there were a few stools to sit on & if the prices were a little fairer. Altogether, I'd recommend this place if you're in the downtown Orlando area. It's located a little off the downtown circuit, but it's still VERY walkable. Located close to Washington and Orange this is the best pizza in downtown. Seriously. It looses a star because it's not very clean looking, has no tables, and the bathroom is permanently closed to customers. I get why it looks kinda dingey - it looks like the inside of every pizza place in NJ. I get why they don't have tables anymore - drunk people starting fights or being silly. You can stand at a small bar to eat your pizza. There are literally NO SEATS in this place. I get why the bathroom is closed on weekends and they need security - MANY drunk people doing silly things. Do they really need to close the bathroom on weekdays when it's a bit more calm? Try not to judge too harshly, these employees have to deal w/a lot of drunk people because they are open till 3am. The rude drunk people late at night is another (uncontrollable) negative. The pizza is delicious. Best in downtown. My favorites are the Hawaiian white pizza or plain white pizza. Everyone I drag to this location (people whine because it's a tiny walk) are always happy w/their pizza- when they are sober or not. Haha Pizza is appropriately priced, service is quick, and food is yummy. Can you really ask for more from a pizza joint? Overall I do recommend Planet Pizza to people, but warn them about the location, lack of seating, potential for rude drunk people, and no bathroom use policy. I always emphasis the pizza is worth the trek. I keep going back and will continue to. Seriously, the BEST pizza place downtown...hands down. This is my go-to pizza place for lunch, dinner, and late night cravings. They have a great lunch special...two slices of pizza and a drink for $7.00 or one slice and a drink for $4.50. The pizza slices are huge, and my favorite part about the pizza is that the crust is crisp and holds up well! I get the same thing every time I go (white and chicken bacon ranch), because in my opinion, those are the best two pizzas they have there! If you want to doctor your pizza up, they offer oregano, garlic, red pepper and parmesan cheese to top it off with. During lunch hours, it can get a little busy and there are only 6 tables inside to sit at, so sometimes you need to wait to sit down. It also gets busy during the late night hours, I mean...who doesn't want to snack on some amazing pizza after a night of drinking!? I have been coming to planet pizza since I was 21 I'm now 31 and the wife and I decided to order pizza for pick up. I am huge fan of this place but not today. This was the worst pizza I have ever had that didn't come frozen. In fact Frozen pizza would have been a better choice. I had to double check with my wife that she in fact order from planet pizza, that's how shockingly terrible it was. We ordered one white one cheese and one pepperoni. Every slice was terrible card like little to no sauce, very dry. Like I said I have been coming here for years I tell everyone about this place and how they have the best chicken bacon ranch. Honestly the best pizza place in Orlando. Nothing beats this place. As an extreme pizza fanatic, I am very picky with my types of pizza. Planet pizza never disappointed me. Their pizza is always crispy, fresh, and never greasy; and best of all its super CHEAP! The slices are decently sized, where one or two slices will deff suffice. My favorite type of pizza from here is anything with their white pizza, they have just plain and white pepperoni typically. I usually also get their buffalo chicken ranch which is super good as well. You really can't go wrong with anything you order from here. The only thing that this place could improve upon is better seating, since around lunchtime it gets difficult to find a table. read more

Planet Pizza is . . . ok. I didn't find it exceptional in terms of the quality of the pizza nor the service, but it was ok. It's clear they do the majority of their business on hungry kids coming out of the bars and clubs and therefore having the highest quality isn't really necessary. They do however have a good variety of different pies at least and while their interior space is small and crowded, it's cozy in a sense and a decent place to woof down your slice of pizza. Plus, it's popular with local skaters so I've met some cool people there. But overall, there is better pizza to be found--even late at night--such as Gitto's which is like two blocks away or even less. read more

Hot and steamy, soft and cheesy, with a crunchy crust to end it off is my kind of pizza late at night after an amazing time at the club. Well, that's when it's best for me of course. But you might like it in the middle of the day when the crowds are a lot calmer and sober. This is one of my go to pizza places when the munchies strike after brewing up a sweat on the dance floor. It's open late so if you are hungry and it's after two in the morning you can count on them. On the weekends the lines are extremely long, running outside the door, but they move fast. It's an art I think they've mastered in anticipation of the late night crowd. It's really small inside so finding a seat, again late at night, will be difficult. But if you don't mind standing up or taking your slice(s) to go you'll be fine. During the afternoon the crowd is definitely calmer and finding a seat shouldn't be a problem. This was an impulse stop for me as I was super hungry and in a rush to meet a friend. There are plenty of different options here. When I stopped in, there were about 9 different pizzas, calzones and also Jamaican beef patties. It was pretty quiet so no one else was in there. I promptly picked out my slices and they were thrown in the oven. The pizza was good, but there's definitely better pizza by the slice around downtown. I liked the spinach and mushroom the best. The ricotta was plentiful! I'm sure when the bars close down this place gets pretty busy. I'm also sure that if I came here after a night of bar hopping, I'd probably give it 5 stars too.
