Our friends were talking up Italian which made us have a craving. We ended up here since the other restaurant had a wait. I'm always down to try new places and my guy was craving a calzone so we gave this place a shot. Del-Dio Pizza seems to focus more on takeout. We were greeted shortly after sitting and were ready to order. Based on other Yelp friends reviews we were swayed to order a sub. I went with the large/full chicken parm sandwich for $9.50. My husband ordered the margarita calzone for $13. We waited a good hour for these rather simple orders. Our server was nice, she did give us some focaccia on the house.. (which was really tasty) and another soda. But I don't see why they would put all to-go orders before customers eating inside. On the food: The chicken parm sub was okay, it had the cheese and marinara sauce but the chicken was cut into little pieces. There wasn't much chicken on the sandwich. Onto the calzone, I don't think the size of this was worth $13. We ordered the margarita calzone but it just had some runny tomatoes with small pieces of basil. The wait is what really killed our experience. I would probably only recommend take-out here.

Worst Pizzeria Experience Ever! I don't even know where to start, but this was hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. I ordered garlic bread, and what I received was a sad, flavorless piece of bread with no garlic flavor whatsoever--just butter. How do you mess up garlic bread? It was honestly just bread and butter, and for $5, it was an absolute ripoff. To make matters worse, when I called to politely ask for a refund, the owner was beyond rude. He hung up on me multiple times, and after a few attempts, he told me to come into the store to get my money back. When I arrived, I was handed a $5 bill with the owner's attitude matching the terrible food--he shoved the cash in my face and told me not to come back. And if that wasn't enough, I was then cursed out in front of other customers, with the owner shouting nasty comments at me, while his staff was casually recording the whole ordeal. When I asked for the owner's name, no one would give it to me--not even the owner himself. I was treated like I was the problem for simply asking for a refund for bread that was completely inedible. The owner even had the audacity to say that because he made the garlic bread, it had to be good. Clearly, that was far from the truth. This place was shocking from start to finish. Never have I encountered such disrespect, especially over something as basic as garlic bread. If you care about customer service, quality, or just having a peaceful dining experience, do not waste your time or money here. Worst experience I've ever had--hands down.

Searching for a friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant look no further. This is your spot! This Brooklyn family ran restaurant offers some of the most loving service and food in Orlando and bang for your buck! We order to go at least twice a month from this spot and we dine in whenever my parents come in from Washington state. It's a true hole in the wall. They remember you if you come back and they serve drinks out of the big red cup. Whatever you do please don't make the same mistake we made and only order pizza. We ordered pizza for two years before ever ordering their Linguini with Clams, they recommend the red, but we swear by the white (don't forget to order it spicy if you like it like that). The Linguini and clams is the best because you can actually taste the clams unlike other places that tend to over do the lemon. Honestly order this with two forks because you will shoveling this in your mouth. Their meatballs with ricotta are the BOMB as well and I actually love their home style bread over their knots but all are DELICIOUS! Regardless if your looking for Italian and love, look no further this is the place!

New favorite family owned Italian spot in town, hands down! I was so surprised to find out this little hole in the wall that I've driven by so many times has some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever had. Their pizza dough is incredibly fresh, perfectly crispy and doesn't flop when you pick it up, and the toppings are all fresh. The vodka pasta blew me away! It was so creamy, fresh, and flavorful. The lasagna was phenomenal with Italian sausage to add an extra kick of flavor. You can really tell everything here is homemade with love, even looking into the kitchen you can see the family cooking. Our server Jeanne was fantastic as well. Can't wait to be back!

Hidden away in the corner of the Colonial Landing plaza, we were excited to happen upon this low-key pizza joint. Walking in, the delicious smells were mouth-watering. Customer service was great and I really enjoyed our waitress. She was friendly, funny, and extremely on top of things. She also seemed to be the only waitress, so watching her skillfully manage all the diners with a smile on her face was super impressive. We had an order of the hot wings, a 10-inch personal pizza, and a fettuccine alfredo entree. Firstly, the wings are amazing. We would order this item again in a heartbeat. They were crispy and very tasty; be forewarned, I'm assuming due to the current chicken wing shortage, the portion-size is smaller than what's listed on the menu and a bit pricier (8 wings for $13). A lot of other places have also increased their wing prices, so we weren't too surprised about this. Both and pizza and pasta were ok. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The pizza crust was a bit thick and doughy; it was cooked through, but maybe the gluten hadn't developed properly that day. The taste was good, but the texture just wasn't there for us. We were honestly more disappointed in the mushrooms; we had expected fresh mushrooms, but it looks like they use canned ones on their pizzas. The alfredo was very creamy, but a tad bland so I added some salt. I loved that the sauce was so decadent; if you don't like heavy foods, the alfredo sauce is not for you. Highly recommend dipping the homemade focaccia bread into the sauce and eating it all together. The portion size was very generous for dinner, so I actually took home most of the alfredo and it was just as good the next day; I even added some leftover rotisserie chicken and some red pepper flakes for spiciness. Overall, I think Del-Dio's is a solid local restaurant and wouldn't mind trying them out again someday. I'll definitely get the wings, but may hold back on getting anything with mushrooms.

The best pizza places are unassuming and hole-in-the-wall on the outside and family-owned and warm on the inside. Del-Dio is no exception! Every visit we're treated with friendly service and excellent food. Their mini garlic knots are packed with flavor and come with a great side of sauce - one of my favorite knots in the area! Pizza is always perfectly cooked with a soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside crust. Consistent quality. The team is great too - they even purchased the pizza-themed shirts I made for my weekly pizza outing! What a great and supportive group that delivers a quality product.

This restaurant can stand on their own with their standards. Where they stand out is with their specials. The chef here is always innovating and trying some new dishes. I wish I could get a notification of what's on the menu each night. I've had some amazing surprises with the taste and presentation of these dishes. And when they have wedding soup (Christmas time), I definitely make sure I go. I feel like part of the family when I go here. I think sometimes that the lack of service has kept me from eating out much, and then I go to Christinis where the service is too-notch. Great service can make lackluster food taste better but Christinis doesn't have to worry there. Their food is too notch as well. It is old world attentive service, and you can't help but feel special when you go there. Our server this evening was Atilla (sp?) and he has a commanding presence and keeps a close eye on things in an unobtrusive way. It was my birthday and they treated me very well. Okay, let's get to the food. Bread service before the meal was excellent. The bread came with an eggplant sauce that was excellent. They offer butter and olive oil but I say to forego that, and just have the eggplant sauce/dip. We both had the shrimp cocktail, which wasn't the plan. But the shrimp were so large and we hadn't had a shrimp cocktail in a long time, and boy was it good. The shrimp was fresh and as mentioned, very large. We then had a Caesar salad which was good. The cheese was good, but I was surprised that there were no anchovies. We like classic Caesar with anchovies, but the salad was good nonetheless. We split a small portion of the fagottini pasta with pear and Gorgonzola cream sauce. It was the absolute best. It sounds like an odd flavor combo but it works. We both had the veal (their specialty) hubby had the veal picatta. I had the Marsala. Both very good. It came with a polenta fritter that was good, I'm not sure what was inside, it had a nice flavor, maybe pimentos? Even though tiramisu or crème brûlée is usually my go to if having dessert, we went for cannolis for a "lighter" option. Very good as well. The last one the list is ambiance. Beautiful tables, classy elegant restaurant, and tuxedoed waitstaff. Excellent!

I ordered one of their zero proof mocktails, the 00 Spritz, which was light and refreshing. Prior to ordering, my colleague had asked our server about another menu item and the type of meat that was in the sauce because she cannot eat pork. It was clear that he was not very sure. For it not being very busy and most people dining in were on a lunch break, the food took quite a while to come out. We received the carpaccio first - it was very tasty and we both enjoyed it. When we received the garlic knot sliders, they looked amazing. It comes with 3 sliders and a side of fries. Once we began eating the sliders, my friend noticed that there was crispy prosciutto (aka pork) on them. This was not listed on the menu or mentioned by our server. Many people don't eat pork (for personal or religious reasons), so that ingredient really should be disclosed on the menu. Our server was apologetic and mentioned that they had just updated their menu so this must have been an oversight. Sadly, my friend did not have enough time left in her lunch break at this point to wait for something else to come out. I personally did enjoy the sliders and took the leftovers home. I also ordered the cacio e pepe pizza to-go to have for dinner later, and it was also very good. Besides that hiccup, overall the food was good and I would go back to try more menu items.
