But I can say mt order was still warm when it arrived, so A+ for that! I ordered the Creamy Club, which has turkey and bacon with a spread of cream cheese and typical sandwich toppings like lettuce, tomato, etc etc. Boy oh boy was I a happy camper! It lived up to its name "creamy" in that the cream cheese gave the entire sandwich some moisture vs sandwiches that are just so incredibly bone dry if you know what I mean! And with it being warm, it was semi melted, meats weren't too salty, and I finished it in no time already waiting to order another one right after! Highly recommend giving this place a try, esp the Creamy Club! read more

Had not been to a planet sub for awhile. Tried it today. The service was very good and the wait time was so so . Since they were not very busy. The subs were ok not a big fan of toasted lettuce yuck! Just not that good. 4/10 . Cookie was dough and not much else. Sorry but I had a much better experience when I was younger. read more

Call me nostalgic, but I think Planet sub is one of the best places to get a sandwich in town especially since another sandwich chain got rid of their surf and turf. I come here and get the Creamy Crab and then I add roast beef...so good! Back in the day, I used to enjoy these sandwiches on the deck of the Hawk's Crossing in Lawrence, KS. They have lots of signature sandwiches but I also get some of the vegetarian ones, sometimes adding meat as they are delicious! Their app is awesome and it is very easy to order and customize your sandwich so it is ready when you get there. The bun itself that they provide holds up pretty well, although there is more bun than necessary. The taste itself is pretty good. It isn't overly salty and the taste is muted. Thankfully the it didn't taste like cardboard. One thing to note about Planet Subs is that they are not fast food. They even post this on a sign. Don't expect to have your food within a few minutes. Overall, the wait is worth it. One of the more concerning/good things, depending on how you look at it, is that they post the calories next to all of the items on the menu. read more

The wife and went in there the other evening. There appeared to be only one girl working, which was enough as we were the only customers. We ordered two sandwiches to go. The girl rang us up, took our money and then proceeded to go into the back to make our sandwiches. We noticed that when she rung us up and took our money, she was wearing gloves. My wife and I were both wondering if she was going to change her gloves before making our sandwiches. She did not. We have noticed a steady decrease in both service and sandwich quality in this shop. In this day and age of food contamination and disgruntled employees, making our sandwiches while hiding in the back room is not good enough anymore. We normally prefer Subway where you can watch closely what goes into your sandwich. I won't be coming back to this shop, but thought I owed this shop an explanation why we and other won't be coming back. We know that good help is hard to get, but that's only part of it. You need to train your employees better and start supervising them. It would also be a good idea to remove the door that leads to the backroom where they make the sandwiches. Honestly, I feel a little guilty for leaving a one star review. The staff here has been good for the most part. I had a few mis-fires with a sandwich now and then, but they always make a wrong right and I think the staff at this store is top notch. Honestly, the people working here deserve FIVE STARS. Then why the one star review? It's mainly for the company that owns this place. Since Planet Sub has gone corporate and expanded to other states, there has been such a steady decline of quality. The first noticeable decline in quality is their social media presence. Their Facebook page was a great way to communicate with the people in charge, with fast and friendly replies. They often had fun contests to win free gift cards and from time to time they gave away free tickets to local concerts! Anymore you try to contact them online and they are completely non-responsive. When you feel like a company doesn't care what their customers have to say, you really have to wonder how much they care about their customers. This is a serious concern. The staff at the store is great. But whoever is in charge of this company sucks. They are terrible. And the changes they have made to the stores is continually disappointing. They dropped the Planet Veggie sandwich, the best sandwich on the menu with a very distinctive taste. Hard to get over, but OK.... Then they dropped the great variety of chips they had to go with bland offerings of kettle potato chips. Don't like kettle potato chips? They don't care! They don't respond to your concerns online! They reduced the variety of kettle chips but replaced them with the most bland and boring flavors of chips they can find. It is a consistent disappointment. Then recently they decided to drop sprouts from the menu and they dropped the Pesto Bello sandwich, another great sandwich with a distinctive flavor. And no warning when the customer orders a sandwich that before had sprouts! I was wondering why my Greek Wrap with tempeh instead of chicken just wasn't the same. I looked in there...and they replaced sprouts with lettuce. And that's how I found out. Lettuce is not a replacement for sprouts. The Californian sandwich might as well be removed from the menu now. Of course, I contacted Planet Sub online about my concerns and I might as well have been talking to the squirrel across the street. At least the squirrel might have wiggled his nose and twitched his tail in response to my concerns. The lack of response from Planet Sub's social media managers tells me they do not give a solitary **** about anything their customers have to say. Meanwhile, this company continues to take away anything that made this wonderful restaurant distinctive and far better than anything I could get at any other subway sandwich shop. As someone who lived in Lawrence for a long time, I really loved eating at Yello Sub. From what I know, Planet Sub is the franchised version of that original Lawrence store. The sandwiches taste the same, which is what counts. My normal go-to is the Green Turkey. It has turkey (duh), bacon, cream cheese, guac, onions, sprouts, tomatoes, and salsa. Everything on the sub is awesome and fresh, but the real star is their bread. Other sub stores say they make their bread in store, but this doesn't arrive as a frozen loaf that they bake in a special oven. There are bags of flour and mixers in the store. The bread at Planet Sub is delicious, and helps set them apart. read more

Their customer service is exceptional at the Antioch location - super friendly! Planet Sub has the best menu of any sandwich shop out there because of their seafood and veggie options. Calls in are always fast, staff is always friendly at this location. I started visiting here when the location at 119 and Lamar closed. I've never been disappointed with a sandwich here.
