I ordered the Walk The Plank flight which included 12 samples, and wife order a glass of wine. Great taste all around with the drinks. Roomy atmosphere. We also ordered some fries and some sprouts which were pretty good. Attentive bartender and waitress. Clean bathrooms, but the only negative thing I have to say is that the light fixtures are FILTHY. Found this place through Yelp and decided to stop in. I love the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Started with the hummus plate which was good. The pickled onions and pita were my favorite. I ordered the Plank Town burger which had potential but was just so messy and soggy I was disappointed. Another person in my party got the chicken sandwich and complained of the same thing. They have THE most amazing Mac and cheese, you need to add the bbq pulled pork to it to be completely blown away. The Bacon cheddar Burger on a brioche bun was so juicy and had 2 perfect strips of bacon.The coleslaw was like none other. A combo of citrus and vinegar. I then ordered the special which was a pasta with grilled chicken parmigiana , a marinara sauce and oodles of cheese! The chicken was very moist and a large piece thin but still a hearty size. The marinara was covering the top, and at first thought was not going to be enough, but once into the pasta realized that it was a make and cheese type style. It was truly delicious and filling to boot. This needs to be on the menu all the time!! My husband and I attempted to go to Moe's tonight. But as usual, they were closed. I've pretty much given up on going there. So Plank Town was the next closest option, which I was far more excited about. Perfect. We walked in and had to wait to be seated. I like that. I despise open seating. Our server was Matthew. He was great. We were his first customers of the night, so he didn't know the soups or specials yet. Not a huge deal. He was totally honest about it, which I can respect. He grabbed a list, and we were good to go. He checked on us at all the right intervals without being obnoxious or ignoring us. We ordered the garlic fries to start with. Think deep, rich, dark brown fries with fresh chopped garlic on top. The ketchup was made in-house. It has a sweeter flavor that traditional or store-bought ketchup. I love that something that simple is made in-house. That's impressive. I had the tri-tip sandwich and my husband had the chicken Marsala. Both were amazing. I loved the chicken. I could have eaten my husband's plate. The tri-tip was delicious, tender, and flavorful. Neither of us tried any beers, although I would love to. I simply don't drink on holidays. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling some. Would I return? Yes, yes, and yes! My husband found several things on the menu he wanted to try, I did too. Tall ceilings, lots of cool wood tables and benches, as well as a large half circle bar give this place a contemporary, Northwest vibe that's set apart from other dining experiences in Eugene/Springfield. The food is solid, tasty, and there are lots of options: jerk chicken, burgers, pulled pork, tacos, fish, portobello sandwich, salads, a few vegetarian options. This place feels like it could be in Portland--without the busy streets and commotion. My husband loved the burger and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious. My daughter had the kids' fish 'n chips and she cleaned her plate. My only criticism of our meal is that the fries were droopy. If you are a drinker, I saw lots of delicious-looking cocktails and frothy coffee drinks being served. We've also seen live music here (acoustic bands). This was pre-pandemic, so I'm not sure if they still offer live music. Lastly, the food came quickly (great if you have restless children), and our server was excellent. We love this place. Plank Town is awesome!! I went there for the first time today and I got the Bacon Irish Cheddar Burger. So good!! On Monday's it's Burger beer day where you get a burger and a beer for a dollar pretty sweet deal!! I had the Old Follower Wheat beer it was smooth light beer really good. The service was good nice and knowledgeable we asked what IBA meant and she explained with no stutter at all. She came and asked if we needed anything. So we had to go to this place and settle after our other reservation fell through. Our waiter was amazing! He was kind and very attentive. However this other waitress didn't catch her name she was wearing a green jumpsuit and tan flats! Kept looking at us to a point where she made us all feel very uncomfortable! Their ahi salad is one of my favorite salads in town! Customer service is always prompt and they have nice indoor and outdoor seating. As to be expected they have plenty of beee on tap and two options for flights! Their side salad is garnished with radish, tomato and picked onions (which I loveeee). I wish I would have taken a picture of my food before eating it. It was sooo yummy! I loved the layout and vibe of the restaurant and the waitresses were so nice which made it even better. I'm not a coleslaw fan but actually enjoyed the rich vinegar/pickle flavor of it! The garlic Parmesan fries are worth the upgrade and I enjoyed the Electric Kool Aid drink! Don't come here for Valentine's Day Menu Just came today for their special Valentines Day Menu and was sorely disappointed by it. It was $60 for 2 people that included a beer, entree, and dessert. The dessert (priced at $7) is actually just one very small portion for 2 people to share and not one dessert each. We went to the bakery afterward and got the same dessert (cheesecake with raspberry) twice the size for $5 that tasted better. I picked their special seafood linguine which claimed to be cooked with handmade linguine. But they ran out of linguine and replaced it with mac and cheese type of noodles (def not handmade!) that looked and tasted exactly the same like the ones I got from the supermarket that was like $3 for a big bag. And there were 6 small mussels, 5 shrimps, and some calamari in it. And yes that entree cost $25. I could've made that with more and better ingredients at 1/4th cost. My husband got the steak, which had a rim of fat on the outside and chunks of fat in the center of the steak. That entree also costs $25. We could've gotten way better food at a fancier restaurant. If you run out of something you advertise, which is handmade linguine, then give the customer the option to have something else. Everything else on their regular menu cost less than $25 and yet taste much better than this crappy $25 valentines entree. We visited Plank Town many times for the beers and burgers. The burgers are great. But this Valentines Day menu is a rip-off. Wish we went somewhere else for Valentines Day and recommend you do the same in the future. read more

This was a great find on my business trip to Springfield. Sat at the bar and Emily the bartender was very nice and offered some beer samples so I could decide what beer to start off with, they were all good but ended up having the Streetcar Stout. She said that they had a Monday burger special and any burger came with a $1 pint so that was a hard deal to turn down. I had the truffle mushroom burger which was delicious and had a cup of soup instead of fries. The soup was chickpea curry, both the burger and soup was delicious. The only hiccup was that they brought me the wrong order initially but they quickly resolved it. Seemed like everyone that worked there enjoyed working there read more

Food was good. Pork topped french fries the best. The "cheese" sauce is more like soup, not very tasty. It would be better if it were thicker, like a sauce should be and more cheesey. The homemade catsup is very good. It would be nice if they served Stubb's BBQ sauce on the side with the pork. The pork was juicy and delicious and they serve the best fries. My friend had the apple pork sandwich, she did not like it. I like the beer, also. My favorite is citrus beer, but I think it is seasonal. The server was excellent! I visited Plank Town as part of a group of five last week. The others had been to the brewery before and they were big fans. I, too, now agree that it's a great place for a casual drink. Since it was my first visit, I decided to try one of their flights (four 4 oz. brews for $5). They offer a "day" flight, a "night" flight, or a "hop" flight. As an IPA girl, I went with the hops. A pale and two IPAs were available at the time (looked like a double IPA was on-deck), so the fourth choice was a pick-your-own. I heard great things about the Streetcar Stout so I went with that one. As it happened, the stout was the standout of the flight. It was so chocolatey and delicious! Easy to drink. I'd rank it among the top beers of my entire trip to Oregon! From the others, I most enjoyed the Nose Cone, followed by the Rip Tooth. I wasn't too partial to the Reggie -- but hey, that's the point of a flight, after all. Another thing I noticed about Plank Town was its cleanliness. From the tables to even the bathrooms, the entire place was extremely clean. I really appreciated that. If I lived in the Eugene/Springfield area, I'd certainly have this brewery on my rotation. read more

Can't say too much. Never got seated. Apparently a party of 4 is too difficult to accommodate. Only high tops for parties of 3 or less. Host told us he'd get in trouble if he sat us there. Then later asked if we were just drinking. We also wanted food, but he told us that the tables are too small for parties of 4 to eat. Just completely mind boggling business model eight there. Were told we had to wait 20 minutes for a regular table for 4. Past the 20 minute mark an individual under the influence who had no intention to patronage the business harassed us, asking weird questions and pan handling us for money. The host watched him walk in and said nothing to him. Instead the host busily pretended to write furious notes. We informed the host, received no apology, and left. If you want basic customer service, skip this place for sure. read more

Great brunch. I had the unbelievable Steelhead Benedict, which had a crisp polenta base, spinach, capers, and of course a wonderful hollandaise. My husband, who loves chiliquilies had their pulled pork chiliquilies. Very different from what he's used to but very impressed! I had a decent Bloody Mary and hubby had a Bourbon Renewal, which he enjoyed So much he asked for the recipe. Service was good in spite of the busyness on a Sunday morning. Absolutely delicious meal for all 3 of us. The vegetarian shepherds pie had so much incredible umami flavor. My husband really enjoyed the seasonal butternut squash ravioli, with the lightly maple flavored sauce. My daughter thought the Mac n cheese was great. The burnt pork belly ends and deep fried jalapeño slices adding just the right amount of flavor. Food was decent, ambiance was good. Service was not good; did not check in us after food was delivered or refill lemonade; but the server had plenty of time to chit chat with other servers. When we got there the restaurant was very quite empty but our food took almost 15 minutes to be brought to us.
