We were in the area and our bellies were talking to us. I always love to check out local breweries to support. This place didn't disappoint. I love the vibe that I immediately felt walking in. We were greeted with friendly staff and seating was available immediately. It was a Saturday afternoon. The food was scrumptious. The beer was tasty. Clothing was awesome! Great Spot for a Family Gathering with Tasty Food and a Few Surprises My wife's brother organized a family birthday celebration here for 11 a.m. on a Sunday--right when they open. We had a group of 12, celebrating five July birthdays. The restaurant is located in the charming downtown area of Springfield, OR, right on the corner of 4th Street. While there's no dedicated parking, we had no trouble finding street parking nearby and arrived in several vehicles right at opening. We were seated in a cozy area toward the back, near the brewery. Two large tables easily accommodated our group, and although a couple of other parties arrived around the same time, the space didn't feel crowded. Our server was friendly and attentive, quickly bringing menus, water, and taking drink orders. We started with appetizers--tater tots, fried Brussels sprouts, and garlic herb fries--all of which arrived promptly and were delicious. We placed our entrée orders shortly after, and while the food came out over a 5-10 minute window, everything looked great and tasted just as good. The menu leans toward the pricier side, with burgers ranging from $18-$22 and mac and cheese at $17 (plus $5 for pulled pork), but the quality was solid. One small surprise: we were charged 50 cents for two to-go containers (25 cents each). It's a minor fee, but still unexpected given the overall pricing. Stopped by for an afternoon beer. Nice looking brewery with a big bar and plenty of tables. My son and I ordered the Riptooth IPA, and my wife a coffee drink. Since it was the middle of the afternoon we ordered some Brussels Sprouts. It was fried Brussels with honey mustard vinaigrette, goat cheese, and hazelnuts. 3.5 Honestly food was excellent. The pulled pork slider was exactly what I wanted. Service wasn't great, off first impression we almost walked right back out when the host came up to us looking like she was disgusted with us walking in, said "Just two of you? sit wherever I guess" weird but okay. Girl that brought out our water wasn't nice. The lady that took our order was nice ish but the whole time it just felt like they wanted us out of there. I thought maybe we were there close to closing or something but we were there at 1pm on a Sunday and they close at 9pm. Also zero music so the vibes were awkward anyways. We have been here a couple times, the first time I wasn't super impressed, but I am always willing to give somewhere a few chances! There is lots of seating, high tops and low top tables, as well as some outdoor seating. We came here Sunday for lunch to try out their grilled cheese for the FFLC grilled cheese experience! The servers were wonderful, kind, and attentive. The drinks were great, the mocktails were delicious. The food was decent. My husband had the "big pig" grilled cheese with bacon and goat cheese, it was really tasty! As for mine, I got the "fromage with love" sandwich, the flavor was great, but it was so hard to eat! I feel like they made my grilled cheese first before they made everything else and it just sat on the plate, it was extremely hard to get a bite of the sandwich as the bread was so tough and the cheese wasn't really melted anymore. Sort of a bummer, but I am glad to have supported the food for Lane County grilled cheese experience. read more

The food and beer/cidar was all amazing I tired the chicken chipotle, the turkey pest sandwich, the prime rib and the garlic and sweet potato fries, all of it was delicious. I also tired one of their dark stouts, the saint something lager and the sweet cidar. All were delicious. Service was super great the staff was amazing. I wish I lived here to eat here again! On a long road trip, and hit this gem on the way home. I had the Sunday Morning Juicy IPA (delicious) and my husband had a Hazy IPA (was hazy to his liking). We love this place. We've been there probably a dozen times and never had a bad meal or experience. It was very busy last night but the service was remarkably fast considering. Great food and nice assortment of beers. They usually have a lot of beers that are more malt-forward, which is a nice change of pace in a region where everything seems to be hop-forward (they have a few of those too, though). The venue is very nice, pleasant as was the wait staff And last but not least... They had the best brussels sprout dish ever! Seeking to take in as much of the local brewery scene during my recent visit to Oregon, I made my way to Plank Town Brewing Co to continue my brewrific mission. STAR #1 - Plank Town Brewing Co is located in the heart of downtown Springfield. There's ample parking nearby and a small sidewalk patio out front. Inside, it's dimly lit and cozy. STAR #2 - They offer up both traditional cocktails and beers. I was there for the beer. I chose one of their pre-planned flights, the Day Flight, that included: Isaria Lager, Blue Pool Pils, Raspberry Wheat, and Island Time. It's hard to pick a favorite, they were all so good! STAR #3 - Carne. Asade. Fries. Yeah, you read that right. They're bomb-dot-com and you need them. I planned on having something small because my mom and I had planned for an early dinner, but when I saw those delicious fries on the menu - I knew I had to have them. They were piled high and so incredibly flavorful. #worthit STAR #4 - The staff was great! I made idle conversation with the bartender from my bar side high top. Everyone was friendly and ensured I was taken care of. I was definitely glad to stop in and give Plank Town Brewing Co a try. It had been awhile since I was here. I enjoyed a nice Tuesday evening! The food menu was great & of course so was the drink menu! I was hoping to have some kombucha, but they were out. I tried their lavender lemonade. It was very good! We ordered the humus plate along with the Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were hands down the best I've ever had! Fish tacos were good so that is why I gave 2 stars. But the Nashville chicken was disgusting...the Mac and cheese with added pork was too salty to eat...and the pretzel was greasy and no salt. The cheese sauce was separated and gross. If you can't make a cocktail (I get it...beer is your thing...then don't put it on the menu). Who makes an old fashioned that looks like this? No ice cube? Review based off drinks and service only: we came in later on a Saturday and had just one drink each, my husband had a beer which he said was great and I had a their mulled cider cocktail which I could have had several of - SO good. The bartender was great, friendly and quick. The place in general is cool. We asked what the markers on the large calendar they have the the wall to the left meant and enjoyed the fact that they apparently mean *nothing* the calendar just appeared after some construction and it's seemingly random. The shrimp tacos were disappointing. The red sweet-hot sauce they provided with my plate of food did not jive well with the other taco ingredients. I was only able to eat the shrimp out of the tacos, because once the sauce was on it, it ruined the fixings-tortilla-shrimp flavor combo. I normally love shrimp tacos, so I was disappointed. The Carne Asada fries were good. The jalapeño margarita was good. The service was good and to the point. At first I didn't like the original small table they gave us in a dark corner, so they quickly and gladly accommodated us to the booth of our choice that was a much better fit for our party and much less cramped and I appreciated that. I took a small bite & it was worse than a bitter pill without water. My soup tasted like straight up green salsa. I will eat food even if it's mediocre... it was not. I've never had anything bad here. We live a ways outside of town and still make the trip fairly frequently. Everything is handmade. The fries are excellent. Spinach dip top notch. It's a little noisy with the acoustics. If you have hearing challenges, I recommend eating outside to better hear your party. The wait staff is polite and consistent correct. There have been times they've seemed understaffed, which others have noted in their reviews, but that seems less frequent lately. read more

Would never come here again. Saturday at noon and they were overwhelmed. We waited over an hour to get our food as did the table for two next to us. I thought about offering the waiting diners next to us a granola bar as they had been waiting even longer before us. The wait staff was doing what they could, but they were busy and the seat yourself policy meant there was nobody monitoring wait and service times on the front end. We finally got our food and while my fish tacos and sweet potato fries order were tasty, my husband's "med rare" steak was beyond well done and the Brussels sprouts were over-seasoned and blackened to the texture of paper. We picked out the edible pieces of the latter. The nice waitress didn't charge us for the steak. One star for service and one star for my meal. They really need a host on the front end. First, I happened to see an appetizer that will keep me coming back. The Brussels Sprouts are over the top and my wife (who claims to hate Brussels Sprouts) even liked them. Every entre ordered between three of us and two visits was delicious. The single caveat is that I thought the soup on my second visit was okay but not great. I will ask for a taste of unusual daily soups in the future. The service was really friendly and attentive without being pushy. Asked twice if everything was okay after our food arrived. Our server was attentive and real darn nice. My friend asked for mustard to go with this burger special they had going today (bacon, pepper jack, "Nashville Sauce," and a slaw) and the server DIDN'T say, "Would you like to taste the burger first?" We of course didn't need the mustard. Fine burger, perfectly executed, flavorful and def not "bland. A nice garbanzo & chicken soup on the side. The usual great beer selection. That's all when it comes to food/service from this end. Constructive criticism: Because the clientele are a mix of middle and older aged folks, for the most part... and many with HEARING issues... Been once before and had a good experience but this time was bad. First clue it was going to be bad was our server telling us she had only been there 3 weeks. So basically don't expect good service. Well we didn't get it. 20 min for drinks and over an hour for a French fry appetizer. I've worked as a server/bartender for over 20 years. When we asked about the food the server blamed the kitchen. Old excuse I've used a million times. When my husband went to the bathroom he could see our dinners dying in the window while we were waiting for our appetizer that she probably forgot to put in. When we decided we couldn't wait anymore and didn't want wilted salads we told a middle aged woman with a ponytail that we were leaving. She yelled in my son's ear as she walked away. Then my son lost his AirPods and when he went back to get it the same older lady told him they don't have it. Then all of sudden found it and told him may next time don't forget your shit. Very unprofessional and we won't be back or recommend this place to anyone who wants good service. Going out to eat is expensive these days. Staff was so friendly and food was great. It was an eye opening experience. These are hands down the most delicious nachos I've ever had. I took this picture after I'd already started digging in but the presentation was lovely with the avacado on top of a delicious mountain. The chips were thick and supported the toppings well, the cheese sauce was *chef's kiss* and the steak was so tasty.
