Foglia is my favorite restaurant! I've eaten there many times and never had anything that wasn't absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong no matter what you order. It's definitely worth traveling long distances for. Highly recommended for vegans and non-vegans alike. The service is top notch. Perfect for special occasions or just anytime.

I'm not Vegan but I am thoroughly impressed. Throw caution to the wind and go with the Tasting menu. You will not be disappointed. The presentation, flavors, and execution exceeded my expectations. Every dish was finely crafted and presented a variety of flavors that worked well together. Love the variety of fresh vegetables that were used and the unique craftsmanship in producing varying tastes. Service was fantastic and the choices of wine were spot on. What an enjoyable dining experience.

Some of the most unique, delicious, crafty vegan food I've ever had. This is high-class dining done extremely tastefully. I went for my birthday last year and was blown away by the food. The service was so friendly and it was a very intimate experience. It's a small spot so be sure to call ahead!

We've been trying to get here since the place opened, and we are glad we finally tried them - now they're on our list of great sit down places, and they're occasion-worthy. We had no trouble getting a sidewalk reservation, and I could see the water from our table. Having outdoor seating is a big plus. Staff was the perfect level of attentive without being obtrusive. There are a lot of great options on the menu, and it's nice to be able to choose from any of them. I knew I wanted the lion's mane as soon as I saw that it was still available, and I did not regret that at all. It was excellent; different from any other time I had had this mushroom, and heavenly. The online menu and in-person paper one were slightly different, but it didn't bother us. My other half enjoyed the eggplant meatballs and the BBQ tempeh (which seemed made for him - he loves smoky flavors). The amuse bouche was much more delicious than it had any right to be, and we had never had whipped vegan feta before - we would have eaten this with a spoon. The little dessert meringue was perfect, too. It was a very special, yet efficient and comfortable, meal. We were left eager to return. I hope our next occasion finds the corn pasta dish still on the menu! Having lunch hours again would usually make it easier for us to get there. We will, no matter what! We thoroughly loved Foglia.

Absolutely amazing food. The fact that it's both vegan and 100% nut free is the first time I've been able to relax while eating and not worry about any of my allergies (eggs and almonds). Neither my husband nor I is vegan, and he was a little unsure of what to expect. His mind was blown. (I've been following them since they were Twelve Plants pop up and have always loved their food!) The menu items are so thoughtful and creative and delicious - like, seared roman artichoke hearts with black olive CARAMEL. Who thinks of that? I also love that they have mocktail options as my husband doesn't drink and I'm 8mo pregnant. The servers are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Fun fact: Foglia is leaf in Italian - and you'll notice a leaf motif if you look around! (Plus, obviously, a nod to the vegan lifestyle.) I wholeheartedly recommend!

First time at Foglia, but not the last! Boy, don't you just love it when you visit a new city (hello, Bristol, RI) and stumble upon an amazing restaurant! Our day trip on Saturday was not filled with just bike riding, walking, and shopping. It was also filled with exploring a James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist for Best Chef Northeast. So of course, I was super excited to check it out. Ambiance: We didn't have reservations but were seated at the small bar. I think it had roughly 9 comfy seats. The place is gorgeous, simple yet sophisticated. The restaurant is on the smaller side but that is okay since it makes for more of an intimate dining experience. And, it's also quiet and with nice background music. Hello, date night! Service: We were greeted by our bartender Dimitri who was very nice, and fun and offered a few menu suggestions since it was our first time here. Everyone seemed extremely knowledgeable and passionate about working there which is always nice to see. Food: They had a pretty decent Vegan/Vegetarian menu to choose from. Not overly intimidating like some restaurants and has a good mix of a lot of different options. From starters to entrees and then dessert, there was something for everyone. I started with a martini and then their Foglia Salad which was very simple yet fresh. They source from local farms and make their Foccacia in-house. I love it since I always want to support local and to me it also means "healthier" without a lot of pesticides, additives, etc. My husband got their bean dip which was on the larger side but it also was so good that we both finished it LOL. For entrees, I ordered their Fusilli Affumicati which had some eggplant in it. It was a bit overcooked but very delicate and light. My hubby had their Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti. This was my favorite. We finished with a Pumpkin Martini and Chocolate Mousse Cake. We were so full after. I needed a nap! Summary: Foglia is a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience. From the beautiful interior to the service and spectacular and innovative food, it is a must to dine here. Especially being able to see what a James Beard Semi-Finalist is up to in the kitchen. It was a pleasure meeting the Chef after our experience. He came out to say hello to some of his guests. He was so nice and humble. Foglia is Fantastic and I can't wait to go back and try their tasting menu. I highly recommend booking this for your next spot. It's worth the drive for sure! Cheers!

"Jimmy on top" with triangle pasta, white bean purée, Jimmy Nardello, red pepper sauce

I have been longing to try this restaurant, Foglia, as I was interested in trying vegan options for a change. So I had the chef's tasting menu (heirloom tomato and cucumber, with a basil aïoli, and char focaccia ; seared zucchini, with an eggplant, purée, and vodka sauce, and pangrattato; cornmeal fried local oyster mushrooms with some sauerkraut; triangle pasta with white bean purée and a pepper sauce; and for dessert, a plum clafoutis with plum purée and plum whip!) the presentation was spectacular, every dish, colorful, and appetizing , and crafted with love! The wine pairing was perfectly balanced and did not disappoint! Everything was over the top, delicious!! Service was excellent and I can't wait to go back again! A hidden gem in Bristol!

Another incredible tasting menu dinner at Foglia. Every course knocked it out of the park!

In Rhode Island, this is the best fine dining vegan experience you'll get. The entire menu is vegan. Think modern Italian, not American Italian. The chef got nominated for a James Beard award, so getting a reservation will get more difficult soon. I got the expressotini while the wife got the sangria. Mocktails were innovative and inexpensive. The drinks were incredible and well priced. Both of us did the chef tasting menu. The snacks blew us away aka amuse bouche. The rest of the dishes were good to great, but not incredible. Some dishes came out 20 to 25 minutes after we finished the previous one. We really enjoyed talking to the hostess, aka the chef's wife and co-owner. We also shared our feedback on how they could improve. In comparison to higher end vegan fare in providence or similar restaurants in Manhattan, NYC, we expected more for the price. We DID enjoy ourselves and the food. Just think they can grow into their role as they have zero competition in this state outside of providence. Wish them all the success!

A true Celebration of Spring at @fogliabristol featuring Perigord Truffles! Every dish absolutely delights, experimental and playful, yet so intentional, balanced and executed to perfection. - Amuse Bouche was a house made truffle foccacia crispy perfection with savory truffle butter - Beet Carpaccio was stunning, so fresh and bright sweetness of the beets and vinaigrette paired with tangy coconut yogurt. My husband's favorite. - Roasted Cauliflower soup is so velvety and beautifully seasoned. One of my father in laws favorites. - Spinach and Artichoke dip with naan was so decadent and savory. - Trangoli was one of my favorites, every pasta dish from Foglia is Hope to take a pasta class with Chef Pete and Linda. - Asparagus Puff Pastry with a hollandaise with a delightful kick was incredible, my mother in law's favorite. - The blood orange sorbet was a unique and refreshing intermission - Loved the swiss chard rolls with truffle rice and truffle aioli, which was so fun and delicious. Loved the creative take using swiss chard over seaweed! - The polenta was soo creamy and decadent with a delightful pea topping which had a really fresh flavor and fun texture. - Last but not least, an incredible vanilla panna cotta with strawberry coulis. So light, yet creamy and bright from the coulis, one of my favorite desserts and a perfect finish. We honestly really couldn't come up with favorites because we loved each dish! We also enjoyed our Smitten Mittens, Winter Solstice mocktails and Blood Orange Martini, Woah Blackberry Bam la jam martini, Delmonico cocktails, Earl Grey tea, and espresso. Beautiful pottery by @theveganpotter. Thank you Chef Pete @carvcom, Chef Max, Sous Chefs Hailey @veganunknownri and Chris @chrisbragel, Pastry Chef Piper @pipermcaloon.pastry , Linda @lindacarvelli , and Foglia team for this collaborative menu and another incredible #Fogliaexperience

My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The only downside to our experience is that once it did start getting pretty busy in the restaurant, the service was much much slower (which is a given with how busy it was) and we had to ask a different waiter to help us get our check and head out. Other than that, it was a wonderful choice for dinner and I would recommend this restaurant anytime!

A side of sweet potato fries is $7 but I couldn't justify that either without knowing the size. I ended up just getting s'mores ice cream (which you can get at the ice cream shop down the steps or order from the table) and it was maybe the most expensive ice cream I've bought! It also took forever to the ice cream we ordered table side to come-- I think it would've been faster to just order it myself. The s'mores ice cream was SO GOOD THOUGH. Best s'mores ice cream i've had, albeit quite melted by the time it got to us. Our waitress was nice and I'm sure it was an overwhelming day to be working. There's not AC inside but I think people come to sit outside and by the water so maybe that's fine. Personally I love AC so I was a little disappointed by how hot it was inside. They played religious music inside which also irked me a little but it might've just been for the 4th? Probably wouldn't come back to Beach House but glad we got to try it. The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length. Totally changed the vibe and enjoyment for me.
