Slamming my knee into the incorrectly placed, sideways ice cream freezer, I muttered out my order among what seemed like 100 little noise makers, all with candy in one hand and dollars in the other. Some of the items behind the counter were 30-40 years old, such as a VHS head cleaning kit. The displays of most all items were in complete and total disarray, the store looks like a bomb hit it. Viewing the aisles of additional pharmacy items, household cleaning goods, charcoal, fluids. "Does anybody come here with the intent to purchase any of this?" A one star review was hanging over Roma like an albatross, I approached the counter to pony up some bread for the self professed and a sign display suggesting "Best bacon egg n cheese in town". It was the look of sincere kindness in the workers eyes, the only worker there, quite possibly the owner. He was genuinely happy to serve me his food, he genuinely appreciated my business. I just couldn't bring myself to give this hard working guy a single nor a double based solely on a sloppy store and a breakfast sandwich that suffered from overcooked eggs.
