I am new to Florida, and I have an alternator issue with my Ford Escape, but I wasn't aware of a place here that can fix it. A neighbor told me about this place, and then 2 more neighbors said to me that they had had good experiences bringing their cars here for years. Truly appreciative of this business! Plantation car care is an honest and reliable business that provides excellent service. They are not overpriced and try to do their best by you. The owner, Carlos, is bilingual and very responsive. Carlos has been my family's go-to mechanic for YEARS - roughly 20 years since at least 2 locations ago. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field but handles the Day-To-Day business. He has several mechanics now working for him. My entire family comes to see Plantation Car Care pretty regularly for oil changes, brake checks and every other little car maintenance and oddity. There's that existing stereotype that mechanics take advantage due to the client not knowing about cars. This is not true about Plantation Car Care. I would recommend them to friends and family!! Horrible experience going to this company had my car broke down and towed over to plantation car care the owner is a family friend so i thought i would have a better experience but that wasn't the case, car was towed and i wanted to know what the issue was and it took them 2 and a half weeks to figure out what the issue (which was a transmission oil leak) mind u i call every other day or everyday and its always a excuse and i was very patient with the owner and understood the excuses he was giving me. He then told me the issues and i bought the parts to him cooler and battery after that it took another 3 weeks of him just not doing it calling saying he's going to get me in and it got to a point where he was dodging my calls and just not answering me then eventually after a month of the company having the car he just told me to let another company do it and completely wasted my time and money, would not like to recommend this company because it was very unprofessional, no communication and just a all around bad experience read more

Excellent quality work, reasonable prices and you won't get ripped off. If an honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold then Carlos should be very wealthy indeed! I used to take my car to the dealer for all maintenance and repairs. I had a good service advisor who was honest with me so I was okay with paying their prices. Once he left that ended. Dropped my car for an oil change and got a call with a laundry list of "urgent" repairs totaling about $2400. At my friends suggestion took my car here. Carlos spent some time checking it out, then told me my car was in great shape, steering nice and tight (this was the main "urgent" repair) and I should be driving it for years. Oh and he refused to take any money since he didn't do any actual work! Been coming here ever since and still driving the same car. Which still hasn't needed any power steering repairs! :) read more

On their website, I scheduled a 12pm appointment the next day for a transmission flush. Upon arriving on time, the older gentleman at the desk (i presume this was Carlos ?) barely said hello and seemed surprised when I mentioned my appointment (though my appointment request was confirmed via text soon after scheduling it online) and asked what service I'm here for. He simply told me to take a seat. I waited 30 minutes, no one follows up with me. Now I had to get the attention of the older lady whom was behind the desk (who also didn't even say a word to me...I was the ONLY one there) and ask for service. She saunters off, gets Carlos, who had the idea that I was going to wait for the service (Which was never discussed. I was on my lunchbreak and was hoping to have a brief discussion w a mechanic to review my service request - like any proper garage normally does - and return to work to get the car later). He had me write my number on a clipboard and leave the key. Again...not ONE discussion about things I'd like them to check, so I wrote it next to my name---just in case. Three hours later, I call back- phone rings for a solid 3 min...no answer. Called back 10 min later - busy signal. 30 min later, I finally get a Lady who places me on hold to apparently get a mechanic to update me on my car. I wait another 4-5 min and a guy picks up the phone and hurriedly confirms my name, and says ''yeah yeah, your car ready..ok?" and is about to hang up without confirming the price of service so I can freaking pay the right amount. He sounded annoyed giving me that one brief answer. I'm absolutely turned off by the lack of basic customer service this staff showed and will not be returning. Try Sunrise Auto or American Auto and Tire down the road. MUCH better service at those two garages. read more

I had a small screw in a tire that I had in the trunk of my car. I tried several local tire shops to look at it, but they were all too busy. Based on internet reviews, I decided to give Plantation Car Care a shot. The office manager (owner?) walked out, saw the screw and called a mechanic over to take care of me. The mechanic immediately took the tire in the back of the shop and returned in a couple of minutes telling me that it's OK. Apparently the screw did not go deep enough to cause a leak and there was no charge for their assistance. I will be back the next time I have a car problem! read more

Would never recommend this place to anyone based off of customer service alone! My car was side swiped by a woman and this was the place she recommended to have the scratches on my car repaired. While there, I asked one of the mechanics for pricing on fixing something else on my car unrelated to the incident. He told me $75. I said ok. I never gave authorization for the service to be done. I dropped my car off two days later to have the scratches repaired. When I arrived to pick my car up the guy at the desk (who is also the woman who side swiped my car's friend, I believe his name is Carlos), told me to go check out the car and told me the scratches were repaired and the service I had priced was also done. I told him that I had never confirmed for the second service to be done, I had only priced it. I didn't have an attitude, I didn't cause a scene, I didn't refuse to pay, I didn't do anything but walk out to check my car as he had instructed me to do. I walked back in with my wallet in hand, which I had retrieved from my friends car. The guy at the front desk told me to wait and went to talk to the mechanic. When he came back he held up my key, asked me if it was mine and I said yes. Still, there was no discussion of me paying or me refusing to pay. In front of two other customers he slammed my key on the desk and told me, with an attitude, if it was up to him I would have to pay I'm lucky I got something for free today and shewed me off like I was his child. Very disrespectful, demeaning and embarrassing. I'm a VERY fair person. Had his customer service been better I would have not walked away without giving the mechanic at least something for giving me the service for free. I think the guy at the desk already had something against me because I followed proper protocol by calling the police when his friend swiped my car. They were speaking Spanish in my presence as though there was something they needed to say without me hearing because they both speak English. So I get an attitude for someone hitting my car and for me not ignoring it and making her fix the issue? I also get an attitude for saying I never asked for a service to be provided? Not good customer at all. On the other hand the mechanic is awesome, very nice, very sociable, very funny. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the company because of one bad seed.
