Highly recommend this wonderful farm and creamery! First, it's beautiful. It's a real farm with animals and a corn maze. Inside the ice cream store there's a lot of beautiful antiques. The service is excellent. Christina was so nice and friendly and welcoming. The ice cream is homemade and it's so creamy and delicious! I had the snickers flavor and strawberry. What a great little farm/cafe/ice cream shop! My friends raved about this place so of course we had to go there with their kiddos to enjoy some ice cream and coffee. I was so excited to see apple cider donuts on the shelf and even more excited to see the apple cider donuts sundae! Unfortunately the donuts were not fresh and tasted like they had alcohol in them. It did not complement the sundae at all. I ended up eating all the candy cane ice cream and dark chocolate marshmallow mint ice cream and leaving the donut behind. After the dessert in freezing weather we had some coffee to warm up. The ice cream and coffee were very good and I'd enjoy them again in the future. I saw something called Bumbleberry pie and would also like to try that again next time - it sounds so good! The girls working in the ice cream area were young and our orders took awhile - the 7 year old in our group was the only kiddo without his order for the first 15 min we sat down, and the girls working should probably be more cognizant and expedite the kid scoops over the parents' sundaes that take longer. The woman at the coffee area was likely annoyed at the squirrelly kiddo in our group as she wasn't exactly friendly when I got up to order coffees. read more

Great coffees and ice cream, so it's always a tough choice for me of which to get. Though popular, there's two parking areas and plenty of seating so that's never a hassle unlike other creameries in the state. There's a lot of choices in the ice cream section, but since we've never gotten a dud, you are pretty safe in whatever you decide to get. read more

I am absolutely appalled by the behavior I witnessed at Plasko's this evening May 1st.The staff on duty showed a shocking lack of basic human decency and respect. The shop, which closes at 8 PM, was still serving customers at 8:01 when an elderly couple approached the window. Rather than offering a word of kindness or even acknowledging them properly, the two young women at the window locked it in their faces, used dismissive hand gestures to wave them away, and then dropped the blinds without a word. This behavior was not only unprofessional, it was deeply disrespectful and dehumanizing. What made this especially painful to watch was the fact that the elderly gentleman is a veteran--someone who has served our country and deserves to be treated with dignity, as does his wife. There were still customers sitting outside who witnessed the whole thing, and it left everyone stunned. No one--least of all our elders and veterans--deserves to be treated like this. It was truly disgusting to see. Respect costs nothing, and tonight Plasko's showed none. read more

We found this cool spot because the original place we stopped by had a staffing shortage. I always like to find a new spot for iced coffee no matter the weather. Plasko's has a nice outdoor seating area with chairs out on the grass and picnic tables. Then inside ice cream palor in the front and the cutest setup for coffee in the back. My fiancé ordered an ice cream sundae with the best cookies and cream ice cream that Ive tasted yet. I am a total ice cream lover so I will be back another time to try more of their ice cream offerings. In the coffee area there is a nice electric fireplace with a good variety of hot coffee - blond roast, medium roast, dark roast, expresso, cappuccino etc. Im addition they offer seasonal latte's like pumpkin spice, salted carmel latte's, hot apple cider, regular and mint hot chocolate. It does not end there - Iced coffee, Iced Tea, Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, and Frappes. The one item I am looking forward to visiting Plasko's again for besides the ice cream - Ice Cream Affogato - (2) shots of expresso with your choice of ice cream. I love this place for Trumbull in a lot of ways. Nice menu, fresh pastries, the coffee is good. Very clean and nicely appointed. The wood inside is really lovely and the fireplace is great on a cold day. The staff is also quite nice and adds to the appeal. Where it loses marks for me: 1. A little pricey. We had two specialty coffees, a scone for my girlfriend, and a bagel for me. $19. Feels a little much. 2. A microwaved scone is less than desirable. 3. It's dark in there due to the lack of windows. 4. The chairs, while comfortable, literally had me jumping out of my seat every time someone pulled back from their table. I swear, if you put little pads on the feet I will change this to a five-star just because. I'm hopeful that they might add outdoor seating for Spring and Summer. read more

I went there tonight with my kids and bought a half a gallon of ice cream and a small soft Serve for my dogs and it was almost $19 and I used to go there in the morning for my coffee but they want five dollars in the morning for a large coffee and you wonder why the miniature golf was shut down and the aggravation from the neighbors. This is New York City, homemade ice cream prices not Trumbull Connecticut.. I could go to big Y and have ice cream for a month for that price.. it's probably also why they had over 50 Christmas left over way too overpriced. read more

Yelp pictures made it look so much cuter than our visit. Maybe it is because we were literally the only ones there and entered through the cafe and not the ice cream shop. The cafe has seating indoors and a burning fire (even in the summer) and limited menu options. Ice cream was in the freezer, and it was not even noticeable that they had a separate section until I asked if they had any other flavors. Now the ice cream side is very cute. Lots of options. We tried a few flavors that we felt were overly sweet. So we just picked up an espresso and left. Tip: enter through entrance that faces the road, not the one closest to parking and you might have a more favorable experience....or if entering through parking side, go directly right. read more

The ice cream was spectacular but the way they took orders was totally unorganized and run terribly. For 2 small ice creams, I waited 20 minutes following ordering. We ordered, paid, then waited outside for them to call my name. The line was outrageous and it could've easily been managed had they provided you with your order before taking the next customers. Also, You can't do 2 flavors in a small cup, they make you get a medium. The apple cider donuts were delicious and moist but very sugary. They need a better ordering system. read more

Small farm selling a variety of goodies including apple cider donuts and a wide variety of flavors of amazing homemade ice cream. I got a scoop of their chocolate chip and it was chock full of chocolate chips, however they were tiny (which makes me believe that they make the ice cream from a mix).The waffle cone I got with it was pretty generic unfortunately. I was here probably 15 years ago and the pie was good and I clearly remember there was the kindest older man who I thought was the owner. Well I am completely saddened to learn he recently passed away. But his family should be very proud of who is taking over. After driving around most of the summer trying to find the best CT ice cream...it was closer than I thought. Both the strawberry cheesecake flavor and the turtle cheesecake- were beyond phenomenal - so creamy with excellent flavor. Can't wait to return! read more

Went here only for the purpose of getting apple cider donuts! I wish they were freshly made and warm but they were still the best I've had. They also have ice cream that lots of people were getting. Warning the line moves slooooooowly so come with enough time. They also had scones for sale, pies and breads that looked good. There's outside seating. They also have a corn maze in the back. I think they had 1 or two animals but nothing impressive in that department. I saw lots of pumpkins for sale too. One of the best ice cream places I've visited in CT! Various unique flavor combinations of the creamiest ice cream around. They also offer a very large portion - see photo, I had a small cup of the bananarama. Very cute farm decor that also sells baked goods. We bought a package of the Apple cider donuts to bring home and they were excellent! Moist, sugary, with a great apple flavor. My only complaint would be that there is very limited parking, we parked on the street and walked over. Overall very good and we will likely be back again this summer! What a great bunch of people work and run this farm! Came here in a weekday to try their ice cream and it did not disappoint! They have fabulous flavors that they make in-house (hard ice cream) ans they do also offer soft serve which the staff raves about and will be my next choice very soon. I had a scoop of their coconut which was great in flavor and so creamy in texture as well as their blueberry cheesecake which was simply decadent! Had I little touch of lemon essence with swirls of blueberry and graham cracker crumb...simple incredible! We also decided to pick up some of their baked goods and went for their highly acclaimed cider donuts and a strawberry rhubarb pie. The donuts were a great disappointment-super sweet and really lacked in flavor and texture was a bit spongy-far from what I am used to. Biggest downfall was the level of sweetness with the excessive sugar coating. These really were a 1/5. As for the pie, it truly has potential and I will try one again and even a different flavor. The crust was spot on-flaky and buttery and very good. The filling was good but lacked real fruit and was more of a gelatinous feel-wish it had more "fruity" appeal but again, would venture to try this again! Great little farm that offers frozen pies too and now has a café with lots of fab choices...did I mention attentive doting staff? I'll be back for sure! read more

The ice cream is worth the trip. My favorite is coconut almond & chocolate chip. The coffee shop is a real treat with a cozy fireplace in the cooler/colder months. I was at the ice cream shop last Friday afternoon. I had two children with me. We walked in and ordered our ice cream. The girls behind the counter were on the rude side. There was no feeling of warmth towards the customer. Very cold demeanor. Attitude and demeanor when you walk into a place is very important for the customer to return back.
