Crossing the border was straightforward, and once through immigration, it was about a 10-minute walk to the office. Their office is located in an upscale professional medical building and the pictures on their website are of their actual office. It was as nice or nicer than any dentist office I've been to in the U.S. Everyone I met was friendly, professional, and spoke English well. Dr. Jessica was excellent - thorough, attentive, and easy to communicate with. While I initially chose to come here for the prices, I was most impressed by the quality of care. The appointment was not rushed, and there was no attempt to upsell or push to add unnecessary procedures. I will definitely return.

Office is clean and the drs are very knowledgeable. If I'm not mistaken dr. Julio is also a dental surgeon and professor at the university. Also they accept most American dental insurance. Mine covered all expenses didn't even have to pay co payment. And covered the braces where here in the US it wouldn't have been because it is seen as cosmetic.

After my dentist retired, we had a little global pandemic, and then things got busy and ... in 2026 I brought them a mouth some California dentists wouldn't touch without hundreds of dollars in X-ray and lab fees up front. Then wouldn't touch. ​ In two days of care, they replaced a complex crown, did four quadrants of deep cleaning, and filled an embarrassing number of cavities. I paid about two and a half Gs for what I was quoted elsewhere for between $6K and $10K. This is dental work under local anesthesia, so some pain from numbing is expected. They have a deal with a chain hotel in easy walking distance that has an included breakfast with soft foods and a UV water dispenser on every floor. From my initial contact on WhatsApp, to their offer to Uber me to the office, to patient intake and detailed assessment including head CTs (!), 3D modeling (!!!), photography of teeth and individual tooth x-rays, and the competence of the clinical team... I don't believe this level of dental care is available in Estados Unidos. If I have a friend who needs dental care, I will cheerfully refer them here. Note: WhatsApp and Uber are essential tools in Tijuana.​

I was in between plans so I was fortunate to be able to travel to TJ and they value it in my tooth and it was so cracked that I couldn't just get it repaired instead they had to pull it and put it in implant. It was taken care of that day with meticulous care. I know the dentist has a very high-level of attention to detail, which I really appreciated. I am going to go back in April to have the crown completed. I was there for several hours as they did a lot of work to evaluate my tooth then pull the cracked tooth and place the implant. Wasted my time, money and gas to make these trips Do I have confident to drive down and make them re-do the broken crown? Do I trust them to do a 3 teeth bridge for me? I guess I'll be staying locally and get the dental bridge done. My case was a nightmare on paper: a failed root canal with curved, L-shaped canals, broken file instruments left inside, and a leaking crown that had been causing ongoing issues. Every specialist I consulted in the States either declined outright or quoted an outcome they weren't confident about. Dr. Alex took one look at my X-rays and , explained exactly what he was dealing with, and said he could helpo. What set him apart was his thoroughness and honesty. He didn't rush. He didn't cut corners. He was upfront that this would take significantly more time than a standard re-treatment -- and he delivered on that. The problem with finding a great dentist is finding one that is super-skilled at what they do, really care about you as a patient and are affordable. It's easy to find one with one of these things, not super hard find one with two, but really, really hard to find one with all three. Dr. Ramirez has all three. With other dentists I found in Tijuana (some of which are highly rated on this site), so many are just running tourist mills. I always felt rushed, I felt pressured to get treatments I didn't need or the price I was quoted changed sometimes mid-procedure. On the other hand, Dr. Ramirez is always willing to sit and explain every problem, procedure and options at length in English which is great for Americans like me that know no Spanish. He is very honest about expected outcomes and follow-ups. It is very clear that he takes his work very seriously and really cares about you as a patient and a person. He goes out of his way to make sure the process is painless and comfortable. His finished product is the best I've had in my life. He also quotes a price and sticks with it which will be at least half and maybe more than what you would pay in the states for the exact same work. I could not be happier in finding Dr Ramirez. I have recommended him to my family and friends and even created a Yelp account just to write this long-winded review. I hope I don't have to see him again for a little while, because, well, that means I am having a problem, but I am relieved that when that problem comes, I have a great place to go to.
