Dr Raul and his staff are seriously the best, it took me awhile after searching for a great dentist in TJ. I figured out a lot of offices may be Jr dentist and I wanted someone with a lot of experience. Dr Raul went to school in Minnesota as well as California (not that it matters) but also a specialist in root canals, I found out all of this after my dental work. I got many new crowns and veneers and so happy with the work. His office is beautiful & clean right on Revolution. Its a $3 uber ride if you park & walk across and a $3 cab ride back. You can text or whats app his office and they get right back to you plus his prices of course are a third of what the US charges. The best about Smile4less is he works on Sundays! I will be a long time customer of Dr Raul he is super honest and a very nice dr, I would recommend anyone to him. read more

I I needed a replacement crown (the old one came out and got lost). I usually go to another dentist in Tijuana but he closes early. I came here because they are open later and I had a late afternoon arrival at San Diego Airport. This is a very modern clinic with computerized scanning and 3D printing to make the crown. I was very impressed with the high technology here. It is also extremely clean and modern. Dr Raiul and assistant Andrea are very professional and competent. This dentist is amazing! They are very thoughtful, caring, careful, and gentle. I am amazed by how smooth everything went. I had 7 cavities, 1 root canal, a bridge, 13 crowns, 2 teeth pulled, a deep clean and two implants. It took three days. Thanks to the US's terrible health insurance, my momma was forced to go to TJ for affordable dental care. This spot was referred to by a family friend. Other than having to drive down to TJ to visit the dentist, the dental experience in it of itself was pleasant. There's a parking structure across the street with a daily max of $11 (dollars). We were able to make an appointment with ease. They are very affordable, compared to US dentists. The dentist & staff are very amicable, & the office itself is clean. My only gripe, was that they kept insisting we pay the remaining 50%, even though we 1) paid the initial 50% as directed, & 2) had agreed that we would pay the rest at our next appointment. We had to reschedule our second appointment due to illness, but rescheduled right away and obviously planned to attend to finish the work. Apparently they pressed so hard because they had to pay their 3rd party person (who made the crown). Who knows. Luckily it all worked out in the end. read more

I've been coming to this location for years and I highly recommend it. Raúl Bernal is very professional and does excelent work. Some insurances are accepted so speak with your provider to see if they can cover some of the cost. Even so, the out of pocket cost is very reasonable and you can expect to get more work done for your money than you would in the US. The office is very clean and the machinery is on par with any office in the states. I am personally terrified of going to the dentist but Raúl is very patient and offers excellent work as painless as possible. They speak English so you don't have to worry about a language barrier and the office is a 15 minute walk from the boarder. If you want to skip the walk there are legit clean cabs right on the other side of the boarder waiting to pick you up, just ask to go to the corner of revolution and 3rd, the office is on the corner right on top of the oxxo, across the street from burgerking. There's a parking lot at the last exit before you cross the boarder. I have had several root canals and my wisdom teeth pulled here with no complications. Got a tooth ache but no dental? Head on down and see what Raúl can do for you, he's one of your best bets if your going to check out a dentist in tijuana. read more

Beware of this place. They accept Zelle, but, since the internet connection is terrible, sometimes the process takes time. I paid cash since the payment keep saying in process, the assistant told me not to worry, she would make sure I get a refund if the payment went through. Well, she lied. We've been calling to get a refund and they don't call back, they keep saying they're busy and will get to it. It's been week. $80 isn't worth then loosing a customer. But, I guess since they must keep peoples over payments, they don't care. read more

These last two weeks, I've accompanied a friend who has had three appointments in that time with Dr. Bernal. She is writing her own review as his patient but I feel compelled to write one as a happy visitor. First I want to say that this is a beautiful, state of the art, office that is impeccably clean. The COVID protocol we went through just to step into the office was extremely thorough, far exceeding the mere temperature check I've experienced at my own doctors' offices here in San Diego. This is not a factory dental office...Dr. Bernal and his extremely capable assistant, Jennie, were the only people there. Only one patient (and accompanying friend) is allowed in at a time. I found this comforting as well. While I didn't have the work done to me, it is obvious from what I observed, overheard, and was told by my friend that this is a dentist who cares deeply and is extremely thorough in explaining his diagnosis and planned procedures. I can assure you that my dentist has never spent close to 45 minutes explaining anything to me before he did it! I don't have any dental needs at this time, but will definitely reach out to Dr. Bernal if I do. In the meantime, I plan to refer him to family and friends. So I came in and got my teeth whitened and cleaned and OMG!! AMAZING!! she really took care of my teeth without being super aggressive which is the best feeling, she made it comfortable. She didn't judge me just told me I really need to take care of my teeth so I am. And the cleaning was $50 I believe and the whitening was $120 and worth every cent. My smile is so much whiter then when I walked in I was shook! My friend was like dam I notice it a lot ! And yeah it wasn't sensitive AT ALL so I was so scared for no reason and my total was $180 and I went downstairs to get a 3D scan of my teeth ($14) because I want veneers . Bring cash ! I have known Dr. Bernal for 10 years and he has done extensive work on my teeth over the years, every time with stellar results. His Revolucion Ave. location is beautifully designed and easy to find with parking available across on Revolucion as well as the cross-street, 3rd Street. On 2/17/18 he assessed my broken tooth and decided a crown would be necessary. A week later my crown was ready for permanent placement in my mouth. His workmanship is very professional and there was no pain while I was numbed up prior to proceeding or during the procedure. Dr. Raul has done above and beyond to make my teeth perfect. The bone in my front tooth had snapped in half and was left untreated for years which created an infection that eventually led to complete bone loss. After being referred by a family member to his office, as everyone has mentioned as well, I was hesitant to have work done on my teeth in Mexico. He and his team gave me a break down of everything that happened and every plan possible to make sure I didn't leave unhappy or unsatisfied. My situation was a bit impossible and tricky, due to the bone loss, I was unfit for an implant as there was no bone to secure the tooth in. He made sure to have other back ups plans & after the second time of traveling to Tijuana, came to the decision to have a bridge put in. If this work had been done in California (where I live), I would have struggled with high dentist bills & a lot more pain. Now this being the third time of him treating me, he left me with a bridge that fit and looked exactly like the rest of my teeth so no one would notice the difference.
