    Matcha Green Tea Latte

Very cute place! A little smaller inside, but they provide sufficient seating along with an outdoor patio. Very aesthetically pleasing ambiance, pleasant service experience, adequate menu pricing from what I saw. I tried an iced matcha latte with their house made honey and ginger syrup. The matcha itself was alright, but I unfortunately could not taste the syrup. I will have to be back to try their coffee and order something from the food menu. Driving up to the shop/parking experience was a little confusing, but I just ended up parking down the street and walked.

Holy Toledo. Well, this is not in Toledo -- but close. Ambiance. My pace -- lots of light and PLANTS! Bright, open; modern decor. Very cozy. Inside and outside seating. Seemed like the coffee shop hot spot. Service. Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and happy. F & B. What we ordered were tasty, filling, and fresh. The buffalo style chips were top notch. Captions say more about everything. Of note. Street parking. Loo was clean and stocked. Overall, will come back. Nice job.

Cute neighborhood coffee shop serving teas, coffee of course, and pastries and food. I ordered a London fog, tasted great but I would have preferred it to be hotter. My husband tried golden monkey hot tea which he liked. It's a good strong black tea. We parked in the street but there is a parking lot in the back as well as outdoor seating. There's plenty of seating inside and gender neutral restrooms. I could totally work remotely here for a day! I would like to come back and order food from the menu. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to while we waited for our drinks.

Since new owners took over, Plate 21 has completely turned around. Not only are the beverages A++, but the staff, the ambience, the food! Everything has elevated dramatically. I come here at least once a week, if not multiple times. I'm the one with the soot sprite hat that orders the chocolate croissant as an afternoon treat haha. Most of all, I LOVE their assortment of pastries and baked goods from their bakery plus local specialties (like the croissants from Madeline's Patisserie and donuts from Holy Toledough). To the new owners, well done and thank you!

Wanted to get a cup of Joe from the locals and here we have it!!! Plate 21 it is!!! Just did a search for coffee in the area and this is where we landed. Love the outdoor seating and the clean look and feel to the place. Going indoors, the lime green walls give it a bright, welcoming feeling... the hard wood floors are a plus; helps to open the floor for a spacious look. Look at me being all HGTVish, you go girl!!! Anywho, I totally love the modern look and feel of the place. The staff were super duper patient, as they took time to explain and answer a few of my questions; espresso this & HOMEMADE brown sugar that. Love that the brown sugar flavor is HOMEMADE, did you catch that in the previous sentence, if not, know you did. Lol. I'd definitely return, but I'd make sure to come earlIER as they ran out is scrumptious pastries... to his credit one of the staff members open & honestly took responsibility for the lack of pastries... lol, too cute.

After my middle child passed her driver's test, we wanted to get schmancy coffees to celebrate. Skipping over the various chains, we quickly used Yelp and zeroed in on Plate 21. On entering, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff, who patiently answered all our questions. Ultimately we ordered seasonal fall space lattes and split a pistachio muffin. After a short wait, our drinks were ready, and both of us agreed that they were excellent! My daughter also commented that she really liked the aesthetic of the shop, with its crisp, clean lines and understated décor. PROS: friendly staff and great flavours CONS: a little on the pricey side Overall, I rate Plate 21 as being as being Very Good, and look forward to returning the next time we are in the area.

Cute coffee shop with lots of space!…read more We found parking easily on the side of the building. They also have baby changing tables in the bathrooms. I ordered the banana vanilla latte and enjoyed it! The only thing I didn't like was the PAPER STRAW!! So gross and it got so soggy!!! We appreciated finding this space though to relax in after a long day at the Toledo Zoo and in the hot humidity!! Would return.

Things to do along I-75 N/S to and from the Detroit area (1 of 2)…read more I had to spend a few days in the Detroit area and I-75, featured in black and white on Eminem's excellent Super Bowl commercial, is the route on which I'd be driving. I have become increasingly tired of Starbucks, but less so of other chain coffeehouses. That said, I always seek out the independent coffeehouses. Mostly, I was sold on the name (Rustbelt) of this coffeehouse in Downtown Toledo, just a few blocks from the small cluster of downtown mid-rises. Inside, it has the open floor plan with exposed ceilings up above, which works very well here and fits the industrial Rust Belt mood. The seating options were to my liking: big butcher block type tables meant to be shared, smaller tables, and upholstered seating with coffee tables. I wish I could have stayed at Rustbelt longer. It was a warm and humid summer day and I had an iced tea and a pastry. The items were tasty. The pricing was fair and the service was unremarkable, but did lean toward being good natured. Parking is available right in front along the street, should you want to keep an eye on your car. That said, I couldn't get a read on the location ... it seemed that there were other eateries and bars nearby, so maybe that meant it was okay. Also, I couldn't figure out where the customer base came from. Usually, bohemian coffeehouses have bohemian enclaves nearby where the bohemian people live. I didn't see any, or maybe I didn't look long enough. I couldn't imagine them being suburbanites. Lastly, I believe I've always seen Rust Belt spelled as two words. If they want to stylize this and go with one word, that's their prerogative. So, what you have here at Rustbelt Coffee are good tea/coffee with pastries to choose from, fair prices, decent service, and a spacious open interior plan where the climate control system was working very well. That sounds like 4 stars to me.

They roast their own coffee beans and have them on display for purchase just under the cash register. Most of the bags I looked at, beans had been roasted in the last week so they are fresh! I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options.

While me and the wife were there, we sent a few pics to the family group chat, and within 15 minutes both kids showed up!! The place is that cool! It may not sound intrinsically delicious, but I liked it! My wife liked her layered coffee drink flavored with lavender...I liked hers too. I'm not sure what the kids bought, but they liked their drinks too. Win x 4. Both kids ate there too. See the pics. The staff and the owners were extremely friendly...almost too friendly.
