BE careful! Guys were friendly but sold me a problem infested vehicle. 28 April - 2015 White 4-Door Jeep: Flew out and picked up the 2015 white 4-Door Jeep from Platinum Motors in Oregon. Purchased "As Is" due to the modifications made. Purchased for $90K. I did not want to start over on a 3-year build. On the way home from purchase the nightmare begins. The cruise was not working. I called the dealership and they said it was working before and they were not sure why is wasn't now. I figured it may be a clock spring and figured I would get it fixed (as well as the anti-skid and ABS sensor) when I got home. About 2-hours from my home I pulled over to get gas for the final time and noticed the Driver Front Tire was flat. 8 of the bead lock bolts were broken off. I started looking and 4 bolts were broken on the Passenger Front Tire as well. I didn't have any tools, so I call a local company to come and throw the spare on. After the spare was on, I asked the guy to check the other tire pressures for peace of mind and it's a good thing I did. The Rear tires were set to 30 PSI and the remaining good Front tire was set to 20 PSI. Not the recommended 40 PSI for the tires.... especially considering I was driving from Oregon to Colorado. I again called the guy and he said he drives 80 on the highway at 20 PSI. I also had the guy check the remaining tire bolts and everyone on the front two tires were lose and about 25% on the rear were also loose. All issues fixed and I finished the trip. 5 May - Bead locks fixed and bolts replaced. Cost $140.00 7 May - Clock spring replaced, $750.00, did not correct the issue. 10 May - Oil change, etc.... because I was going to drive it on a long trip to Oh, TN, FL, and back to CO. Drivers Side Rear Seal on the Currie 9" was leaking. The part is on order/back order. 14 May - I traveled to South Dakota, the PSC Steering Pump leaking- two bolts were loose. Steering is almost non-existent when fully turned. 21 May - The day before my road trip, fluid levels looked good in the axel, but the PSC steering fluid was empty. 3 Jun - I made it to Florida and as we were driving around, I heard a loud chirping sound. I thought it was a belt and when I took it to the first mechanic, they said they could not work on this modified rig, but he thought it was a U-Joint. He recommended an off-road shop called STO. I made an appointment and took my Jeep to STO and after hours of trying to figure it out said it was a pinhole Zerc fitting, greased, the chirping went away. 6 Jun - As we were driving around about 6:30 PM the HOTOIL light came on and the Jeep went into Limp Mode. I pulled off into a parking lot and immediately turned the vehicle off. After turning off the vehicle I went to place it in park and the shifter was stuck in Drive. I could not move it to Park or Neutral and therefore the vehicle would not start. I called USAA Roadside Assistance and the normal over-ride selector in the Shifter mechanism was not present. After 14 hours, a tow truck showed up and towed my Jeep to Elite Jeeps (now 7 Jun). 7 Jun - Checked vehicle in, and they said they would get to it 9 Jun - I called Elite Jeeps and was told me the Jeep was throwing all kinds of codes to include the vehicle would not communicate to the PCM, live current to the shifter, plus others. 10 Jun - Elite Jeeps was looking at the electrical to see if anything was out of place. After messing with the starter, we got the vehicle to start and I immediately put the shifter into park. As the tech was putting the vehicle back together the radiator blew, and coolant/steam was everywhere. Elite Jeeps said I needed a new Radiator and Fan ($650), so we ordered a direct replacement. 11 Jun - New Radiator and Fan installed but the AC and other lights would not work or turn on therefore the fan did not turn on. They worked this issue and after troubleshooting hour they determined that the TIPM was bad. They stated I need a new TIPM, but it was a week out and would cost $750. I told them I didn't have much of a choice and needed my vehicle sooner than later as it is my daily driver. Since I had to get back to Colorado, I had to buy a plane ticker ($407). 22 Jun - They just got in the TIPM, installed it and then took the Jeep to the local Chrysler dealership to get flashed. 29 Jun - I went to the Chrysler dealership to get some bags from the vehicle so I could take them home when I fly home again. While at the dealership I talked with them on what they did, and they stated they tried to flash it and it wouldn't take and they said they did all they could. 30 Jun - Called Russ, since I didn't receive a call back, and he said he don't know what's going on with the Jeep and the dealership could not figure it out as well. I told him I was going to ship it to SD. 2 Jul - RCG Logistics called back and we made arrangements for pickup 19-23 July from Elite Jeep in Florida. 9-11 Days of transit.
